During my last renewal, I was offered a money off promotion as part of being a loyal customer. Due to my membership being on direct debit, the money was taken out automatically and therefore the promotion was not applied.

I contacted NRLA and was told I could get the refund for the difference after the payment was taken. It slipped my mind completely and when I eventually got back to customer service, it was explained that the offer had expired because it was not redeemed over the promotional period.

I wrote a review out of anger but one of the senior members contacted me directly and offered the refund. I have therefore retracted my original review because their website has helped me so much being an independent landlord and I continue to use them.

Always a pleasure, the team are knowledgeable and can always find answers for me. I trust their advice.

More about my experience, because I have recently joined, at personal expense, as an unpaid acting agent for a Landlord friend. And happy to be so. One admin problem arose, in seeking advice, my membership number " is not recognised" although clearly established on 'my page'. And my fee £110 paid up. However the very helpful and knowledgeable Lady giving advice in this complex business of renting, and the danger of not doing the right thing, especially as I am new is paramount. She was excellent. I am confident now that I have the protection of good advice and guidance, and feel much safer" I am glad I have finally after many years, joined. I seemed to have missed the special offers though with the fee. I had offers as low as £70+ a few days before, but they disappeared when I came to pay, I had a pressing problem, and I paid £110.

10/10 service by the NRLA customer service team.

A subscription to The NRLA is well worth it in terms of the reassuring information updates they provide and the materials that exist in an increasingly complex world facing small private landlords. They have also provided me with excellent signposting to specialist insurers and access to discounts to shops that are helpful when doing my best to give my tenants the best experience possible. They are a well-informed lobbying and campaigning organisation trying to get the best outcomes for both tenants and landlords alike. I feel more secure there's somewhere I can turn if I need advice in being a landlord despite having been one for almost 30 years.

The team at NRLA are always polite, helpful and very knowledgeable. I’ve been a member for many years and not once have they failed to help me, great company with a great team of people.

Good, but they keep increasing the annual membership fee. Used to be £75, now £100! Considering cancelling, as they're not really necesary if you let through a good agrency

Starting out as a new landlord with live-in tenants who claim housing benefits it has been a valuable asset to have the templates with the headings on them for my agreement and rent arrears letters! It’s definitely been a bit of a battle to get the benefits through, but the service team have helped me with all my calls thank you 🙏

I have been a tenant in the same property for seven years, during which I have consistently maintained timely payments and demonstrated responsibility. I am an employed senior manager at a well-respected company, with an annual income of nearly £80,000 including bonuses, complemented by a strong credit history. Additionally, my brother, who shares the house with me, earns close to £50,000 annually.

This year, my landlord decided to switch to a new letting agency and referencing company. Unfortunately, the new referencing process resulted in our application being rejected solely because my wife, who is listed only as a permitted occupier and has no income as she is currently caring for our children, has an IVA from before our marriage.

This decision feels entirely unjust. Despite my robust financial position and excellent rental history, it appears I am being penalized for marrying someone who experienced financial difficulties in the past. It is deeply troubling to think that such criteria could prevent capable, reliable tenants from securing a home.
