This company is terrible - stay well clear.
They dont manage funds correctly, they take funds when they should not. this is by far and away the worst pension company i have ever dealt with. They also make it very hard to move

This company is a complete failure. The lack of even the slightest intelligence in the staff is painful. It's a shame they think customers are more stupid than they are. The organization bears the hallmarks of a criminal organization. It's strange that government agencies aren't monitoring the practices of organizations like new:pension... after all, the government invented it itself.

This company should be avoided. Like many other people my account has been locked on both app and online. The message says under review and that this can take upto 4 weeks.
When i called and asked if i could get the pension pack i was told even that simple task can take upto 4 weeks.
I find the situation very suspicious and stinks of delaying tactics. This company needs to be checked by the FCA and regulators.

Trying to transfer fund , locked out the account while under security review says 2 or 3 weeks been months , try to contact them they say i need to log on , cant log on cause they have locked me out .

Conflicting information every time I speak to numerous members of the customer service team. I have spent 3 months trying to withdraw from my pension and it still hasn't been resolved. The worst customer service I have ever encountered.

Like other people who appear to have had the same problem, I have been locked out of my account and told this may be for several weeks and it is to protect my account. If there is indeed a risk to my account it should be dealt with immediately. I have spoken to them and done online chat, all to no avail. They wrote to me saying they needed to contact me and when I did contact them they have locked me out of my account. Very poor company to deal with and does not fill me with confidence on the level of service I will get trying to sort my retirement pension.

Trying to transfer pension out but locked out account. Raised complaint and response is the things happen for security 2 weeks later still locked . Was told to raise issue with IDRP. Can not find out how to escalate as you have to log on. No transfer still and no log in . THIS COMPANY NEEDS INVESTIGATION BY THE PENSION REGULATOR

The worst pension provider I have ever come across. Decided to lock my account as soon as a pension transfer request went in. It's as though they want to lock you in if you dare to transfer out because they know their platform and service is pants.

This outfit are really poor. On several occasions I've had to pursue them due to my monthly payment not showing up. On each occasion the explanation has been nonsensical. In the end I gave up and opted out. Given that by opting out I lose my employer's contribution should tell you something about how much I don't want to be involved with this outfit.

Their customer service is absolutely appalling and this is their standard for someone who has been recently widowed. My husband died in May and I have only today (6 Nov) received payment from NOW Pensions. Despite sending documents both by email and by signed for post, they still managed to “lose or not receive” paperwork, they don’t return promised phone calls, they send emails for you to complete the attachments with no attachments, and if your query is too difficult they just disconnect the phone call.
I stayed strong and persevered in honour of my amazing husband 😢

Do not use..a joke!! Unhelpful, unsupportive, complicated processes, not what they say or promise. They have held some money of mine for 10 years and not informed me. Now trying to obtain just couple of hundred quid is proving so difficult. Honestly, no personal help and definitely misguided if one does manage to speak to a person. Ive now read all other reviews and most say exactly the same thing. Process not user friendly, delay tactics etc etc. Ive replied to the reply so we will see how long it now takes to send my money when they have copies of driv licence, passport, P45. Utiluty bills are on line not paper totake copy and if you think I would risk sending my original driv licence or passport to this incompetent company. If not sorted within 7 days will be contacting Martin Lewis, FCA etc

A simple transfer from Now:U to my current provider has proven to be far from simple.
Their website that allows me to log in and then says no account is associated one minute, the next, log in and I'm told my account is under review - no explanation. Tell me to contact their chatbot but, that doesn't recognise I'm already logged in.
Call customer service, as I've been told by my current provider Now:U need confirmation that I'm not paying anything else into the old pension, do that, confirm everything they need, then a week later get a letter in the post with a form asking exactly the same questions.
This is, of course after I get an email to say 'Your money's on it's way' - which it clearly isn't!
The whole transfer process has so many more hurdles than other transfers I have made from old providers to my current pension. Three weeks since the initial request and still no nearer to getting my money transferred.
Does feel like Now:U stick so many blockers in the way in the hope that they can just grind you down to the point where you lose the will to continue.

I began the process of transferring my NOWpension in March and finally succeeded in September only after my financial advisor intervened and threatened to report the company. They have since apologised and offered to pay me £100.00 in compensation. This was promised in 10 working days. 4 weeks on and numerous ignored emails, I am still waiting. I am currently urging my employer to review the other 30 or so employees pensions with NOW to make alternative arrangements so they don't have to suffer the same distress as I have.
10/11/2025 update.
Despite NOW Pensions appearing to be proactive by responding immediately to my poor review; 10 days have passed following my response with all the information requested, and still nothing.
AVOID AT ALL COSTS

Absolutely vile company. I suspect the only reason they exist is because people who are not pension savvy end up with them because of an employer’s choice.
If you have a small pension because of a short contract somewhere, they’ll happily swallow up virtually all your pension growth in charges without warning you.
Try and transfer out and they’ll complain that your response to their questions form is in png instead of jpeg. Honestly someone couldn’t have opened it and resaved it? Of course they could, they’re just trying to wear you down!
Well I’m not giving in! Seriously, they’ll rip you off and obstruct you every chance they get.
I was lucky that the pension was a small pot. If you have a substantial amount, think carefully about if you want these low life’s managing your future!

I have ADHD, OCD and ASC; all of which makes negotiating unfamiliar processes incredibly challenging and often leads to failing to achieve the desired result. I called and spoke to Sangita who was incredibly kind from the outset of my call and was patient with the mistakes and delays I made in providing necessary information and details and, once I explained my neurodiversity Sangita took thre time to stay on the phone and guide me to the necessary website and create my account. I rarely experience such professionalism and kindness - it is usually impatience. I cannot praise Sangita enough and would recommend anyone with a query or issue to telephone the Members Department. Fantastic customer service.

I have been trying to transfer my pension for months. Everytime I send an email I get an email sent back saying they will contact me in 3 days .They keep saying they need more information. I've sent them all the information they requested and they just keep sending the same reply that they need more information. I'm at my wits end
