At Nomad Frontiers, we aspire to be Canada's local bike shop. But it didn't start that way. We set out to build NOMAD with a vision grounded in community, inclusiveness, and the power of epic cycling adventures to create memories and solidify friendships. We set out to build a travel company - both products to create your own adventure and expert advice to guide your next, more distant excursion. That was, until COVID got in the way.
Now, we've taken that same passion for community and expanded on our cycling retail plans. Our value proposition? Better customer service? No. The best customer service. We aim to show you, in every interaction, that we value your business and deserve your trust. Great Customer Service When Things Go Sideways
I ordered some items before Christmas 2025 and my package was quickly shipped a day or 2 after the order was placed. Unfortunately, the courier, who shall remain nameless, lost the shipment on one of their brown trucks. Realizing the order was lost or in limbo, I was able to quickly contact Chris at Nomad Frontiers, and was assured that they would be sending a replacement. Due to the fact they were out of stock of one the items, my replacement package was not received until the New Year. However, the communication in the intervening period was great and rest assured, my package arrived with some great products. Thank you Chris and the Nomad Frontiers team!

Excellent service and fast shipment
Excellent service and fast shipment. However, be aware when choosing FedEx. FedEx will attempt to deliver to your home up to three times before leaving it at your local drop off location. That means if you work during the day, you'll likely miss all the attempts of delivery. To avoid this put your local delivery drop off address as the delivery address.
This is a good company, and I will be ordering from them again.

Deceptive sales practices
I ordered a case of Clif Bloks that typically lasts me a year. The best buy date for the case is a couple months away. I asked Nomad if they could send me one with a better date and they told me all the cases have that date. They acknowledged that they were not transparent about why these cases were on sale (I thought it was just a general sale). I told them I would not have purchased a case with such a poor date, even on sale. They told me that I could ship the package back at my own cost for a refund. The shipping cost would have been over 50% of the refund. I asked what else they could do instead to rectify the situation and they stopped responding to me.
Addendum in response to Nomad’s response below:
If Nomad is unable to resell the Clif Bloks for safety reasons, then why are they asking me to pay shipping to return them? Why not just refund me? Sounds like more deception.
Interestingly, I also noticed that the “date of experience” on my review has been changed to November. Trust pilot automatically picked the shipping date of December 1. I received my package a week or 10 days after that which I guess would more accurately be the date of my experience.

We strive to provide excellent customer service and we are disappointed that you are not satisfied with your experience. Moreover, we are proud of our track record serving thousands of cyclists across the country since we founded our small Canadian business in the wake of the pandemic, and the suggestion that we conduct ourselves otherwise is disheartening.
At the time of shipping, the box of 18 Clif Bloks you purchased, which were discounted by over 40%, had 3.5 months before the "best by" date. While nutrition products are typically non-returnable (as we cannot resell them for safety reasons), we offered to take them back. You then took issue with the return shipping policy (we shipped your order to you for free, but the cost of return shipping is the responsibility of the customer).
To clarify, we didn't stop replying to your emails. We received your last escalatory email 3 days ago and our staff were simply going through the proper internal processes to determine how we could accommodate your requests.
We endeavour to go above and beyond for our customers, and we will reach out to you directly.
