Paid for delivery between 4-7 days. Didn't turn up, no communication. I called them and was told delivery would be on day 9. No communication so I called them again. Told delivery would be on day 10. No communication so I called them yet again. Told delivery would be on day 11 (BH Mon). I said not possible as away. Arranged for delivery to be on day 12. Turned up on day 11 anyway and not within the auto times. Initially didn't want to refund my delivery charge even though failed to deliver within 7 days. Communication appalling. Job delayed. There are better companies out there. Definitely will avoid in future.

Perfect product and very happy with how the skirting boards look. Customer services were very helpful as I had a few questions and delivery was fast. Highly recommend for anyone renovating their house.

Delivery was fine

Quality of the skirting board finish is awful and I’m not sure if I have enough usable skirting to cover the room now.

Paid for the primed skirting, it looks like my 2 year old did it, excess paint drips & flakes on every board which need sanding back and re-priming in some areas.

The profile cutting is just as bad, the last few cm’s on the left of every board needs to be scrapped because the profile cutting goes wonky and won’t align with the next board. Either a faulty cutting mould or the operator is trying to remove the boards prematurely before the full profile is finished

This company has the absolute worst customer service, and I will definitely not order from them again based on my experience. We ordered with them and went with the free delivery in 10-14 working days. It took well over a week before we got a delivery date and time, we then went ahead and planned for the time slot we were given. Late in the afternoon on the day before the delivery we got a message to say that the time slot had been changed from 9-11am to 3-5pm. We contacted customer service to say that the later time slot wouldn't work for us, so could we either be put back on the morning delivery or reschedule to a different day. They took about an hour to get back to us only to say that they couldn’t deliver at a different time, and if we wanted to reschedule to a different day we would have to wait a further 3 weeks again! So be prepared, if you can’t accept the delivery in a 3 hour window, which will change at the drop of a pin you will have to wait another 3 weeks for a new slot. The person we spoke to had absolutely no desire to make it work for us, despite it being them changing the plan at the last minute with no communication.

Ordered laminate flooring and paid extra for faster delivery. Was supposed to be delivered within 7 days . Given a delivery day and time, waited in for it to arrive, nothing. Had an email to say the van had broken down and there wasn't any other vans in to deliver it. I was given a time for the next day. Still no sign despite having given them my mobile in case of problems. Tried ringing the company to see what was going on to find out they were closed till Monday. Whatever you do avoid paying the extra in fact avoid them full stop.

Had a terrible experience trying to get samples delivered. I paid extra for faster delivery and it took over a month for my sample to arrive. However the skirting board I needed was to try to match existing boards in my house which was proving difficult to find elsewhere due to other websites having ridiculously high delivery and minimum order fees so I stuck with them and ordered 4 metres of skirting.

My actual order arrived within the delivery timeframe of the free delivery and would have therefore been 5 stars for the price and the fact you can get free delivery. But the sample taking so long to arrive had to knock it down to 3 stars.

this company supplies producs that are completley different to the images and dimensions provided on their website to the point that it is theft. I purchasesd a large amount of hole plugs, which on their website are described as approximatley 6mm depth with images of well finished, decorative, end grain pine plugs. what arrived after having to chase the delivery, was a mess of burnt, cracked and broken plugs that were completley unusable and 15mm depth. i wish i could include imges of what they have on their website next to what arrived - it is absolutley ridiculous.

Terrible service, paid £45 for 2-3 day shipping, 4th day I called for them to say that it will be delivered 3 days later, I asked for a refund and they said I will get charged 40% wastage fee even though I ordered a standard size and it hadn't left their warehouse yet.

I ordered a quantity of unprimed MDF dado rail and paid for the 4-7 working day delivery service. I received notification that my order would arrive two days outside the promised time period. This put it into the free shipping time period. I contacted National Skirting and they offered to refund me 50% of the shipping costs.
When my order arrived, the product was covered in a white paint and the surface was very rough. It looked like paint had been slapped on with a broom. I contacted National Skirting and they proceeded to tell me how I could make the surface smooth with a little sanding. Of course I wouldn't have known that so I appreciated thier expert advice.
It took hours to sand the dado rail down to a smooth enough surface to paint properly. That was the reason I requested unprimed.
I would not recommend this company at all. It is substandard product.

Placed an order with delivery expected to be 10 to 14 days as stated on the website, after 14 days, no delivery 😡 I contacted them, only to be told that the product needed to be ordered in and it would be some (indefinite) time before I received my order. I cancelled and purchased what I required from a reputable supplier with quick delivery..
So far they haven't even started to process my refund so who knows when/if I'll ever receive my refund. They've now had my money for nearly a month.
Bottom line is. If you want something, use a reputable local supplier, not this scam.

***QUALITY CONCERNS***

There are many skirting suppliers that deliver the basics - not National Skirting.

Cost competitive and standard delivery, however when ordering skirting and architrave from the same profile range but at different lengths and the actual profile is 3-4mm different between a 3 and a 4m length, and the vertical and horizontal and architrave profile don't align - when joining these pieces becomes an issue. Emailed the company (message below), 4 days later - no response indicates that they don't care about quality or customers.

There was also a difference in MDF material supplied from the same range (some green and some brown) , the primed finish is very, very rough - all needs completely sanding down.

Chose someone else if you want the basics.

This is a standard practice, and I would expect the profiles to match precisely. Unfortunately, there is an approximate 2-3mm difference between the profiles, which makes a clean join unachievable.

A similar issue has occurred with the architrave (ARCH-A43-MDF-70-5200-18-P).
The vertical pieces are consistent with each other, but they differ from the shorter horizontal sections by approximately 3-4mm.

This inconsistency presents a major issue when joining lengths or forming door surrounds, where matching profiles are essential for a professional finish.
Having used other suppliers previously, I have not encountered this problem before.

Given this, I would appreciate your clarification on the following:

Is this level of variation considered acceptable for your products?
Were these items quality-checked prior to dispatch?
Could this be a manufacturing issue?

I would welcome your thoughts on this matter and how you propose to address it.

I contacted them and advised that I can only be available on certain days and asked if that would be possible - I asked how much I needed to pay to deliver on my available day.

They sent an invoice and told me that it would be delivered on the day that I was available.

Without any warning they changed the delivery day and now refuse to take my calls - they simply email a reply that they do not guarantee specified delivery dates.

They essentially stole my money and now refuse to talk to me. Very unprofessional company.
