Holly was a star during my viewing, originally I came to view a 5 series bmw but it wasn’t what I was looking for so she was happy to help me view cars that fit the description I gave her.

It was a very low pressure sale and I ended up buying a 2019 Audi A6 which has been faultless.

The car was prepared well and they even buffed out a scratch on the body for no extra charge.

I would definitely recommend them and Holly!

⭐ 1 Star – Misrepresentation, Poor Communication, and Unsafe Vehicle

My experience with National Car Hub Walsall was wholly unsatisfactory and reflects many of the negative reviews already published online.

I was informed that once finance was received, the vehicle would be ready within 5–7 days. No proactive updates were provided at any stage. I had to repeatedly contact the business (often multiple times per day) to obtain basic information.

I was told several parts needed to be ordered after the sale process had begun, most notably an electric wing mirror, with conflicting explanations as to its availability and delivery. Despite assurances, promised updates were not provided.

Due to the ongoing delays and the volume of negative reviews reflecting identical issues, I advised National Car Hub that I wished to withdraw from the purchase. This was accepted. Minutes later, I was contacted and told the mirror had arrived and that the car would be ready the following day — directly contradicting previous information.

Following advice from my finance provider, I agreed to view the vehicle before final withdrawal, despite travelling from London.

I spoke with Holly, who assured me the mirror was fitted, the MOT completed, and that I could collect the car the same day if satisfied.

Visit on Tuesday 23rd December

I arrived at 2:10pm after travelling over 3.5 hours. On arrival, I was informed by Abby that my visit was not expected and that:
• The wing mirror had not been fitted
• The vehicle was not ready

I waited approximately 1.5 hours before a test drive was possible.

During the test drive, the vehicle produced a scraping/rattling noise when lifting off the accelerator. This was immediately raised. No explanation was provided, despite the vehicle allegedly having passed an MOT.

After a further 40-minute wait, the manager Maz initially stated the noise was “normal” and that he would be happy for me to take the car.

Following further checks, Maz advised:
• One technician suggested a possible gearbox issue
• Another found no fault
• A third confirmed a gearbox fault

Maz then stated he would not permit me to drive the vehicle home, as it was unsafe and required investigation.

Warranty Concerns

I was informed by staff that the 6-month warranty does not cover engine or gearbox issues. Maz later contradicted this but did not address the misinformation provided by his employee. This inconsistency was concerning.

Conclusion

I left at 5:30pm, without the vehicle, having incurred unnecessary travel costs and time loss.

Maz confirmed the gearbox would require repair regardless of whether I purchased the car, raising serious concerns as to why the vehicle was offered for sale in this condition. Had I not identified the fault, I believe the vehicle would have been released to me.

Based on my experience, I cannot recommend National Car Hub Walsall. The issues I encountered align closely with existing negative reviews and raise concerns regarding communication, transparency, and vehicle preparation.

I would advise prospective buyers to proceed with caution.

Apparently brought a car out finance through and then went away left to hear from them. 2 weeks pass and we were chasing them left right and centre no call backs as promised no vehicle ready etc. decided to turn up and see what was happening, when we did the finance hadn’t even been done nothing had been done. Brandon absolutely useless has no clue what he’s even doing just walks about and does not a lot. We observed him on the 2 days we were there and he did nothing very unprofessional. Seems all the staff are lacking knowledge and training. Anyway after two weeks of been messed about pushed from pillow to post and no one knowing what they were doing we have decided to just get our deposit back and luckily we have found a good broker elsewhere and are now sorted. I would advise anyone to avoid this company at all costs possible absolute nightmare and it affected my mental health.

Very efficient and professional, Dan was excellent and l would recommend anyone to buy their car from the National Car Hub Walsall.

Purchased a Mercedes a few months ago, a number of problems with the car identified within a few days of picking the car up, had to contact the finance company directly to get this resolved as we were getting no answer back from the dealer. left us out of pocket whilst we were without a car, and with insurance changes etc.

Now months after handing the car back were getting letters from the DVLA threatening fines as the car is not taxed. Poor experience from start to finish, wouldn't use again.

After two weeks truck is leaking, After a month, the Transmission is going out,stay away , awesome young guys but the owner not really good person, I know they are going to respond to this review, but really it’s all about standing behind like I told them , And everybody knows if you buy a truck or a car. It shouldn’t be leaking. It shouldn’t be losing power less than three months, I even told him to give me the best truck on his lot But really I think I got the worst truck didn’t last a 15 days,

Well, they replied to me review titled "RIPPED OFF WITH "VANISHING TEXTS"", they said "We want to look into the concerns you’ve raised — especially around communication and the warranty — and resolve this properly. Please email ..."

So, I did. Two weeks later, no reply.

I just thought I'd let anyone know that thinks that their replies here actually mean they will resolve anything.

I purchased a used Audi Q3 from this dealership and my experience has been extremely disappointing from the very start.

Despite being assured the car would receive a full valet and machine polish before collection, it was handed over in a filthy condition, smelling strongly of smoke, and clearly had not been prepared to a proper standard. I then discovered serious mechanical issues almost immediately, including problems with the tracking, pulling to the left, and a number of other faults that should have been identified before sale.

The vehicle went back to them for repairs, yet issues have continued. Communication has been one of the biggest frustrations - calls not returned, emails unanswered for days, and constant chasing just to get basic updates.

Eventually, after further faults emerged (including engine noise and headlight issues), I exercised my right to reject the vehicle within 30 days. Although this was confirmed over the phone, I have struggled to obtain written confirmation, which has made the process far more stressful than it needed to be.

The dealership has also refused to reimburse reasonable costs I incurred as a direct result of the faults, including fuel used during their recovery/delivery process and a cambelt replacement that multiple Audi specialist garages advised was necessary.

The entire experience has been stressful, time-consuming, and far from what you would expect when buying a used car. I am still waiting for written confirmation of the refund process, despite being told the rejection has been accepted.

I would strongly recommend that anyone considering purchasing a vehicle here proceed with caution.

I wish I read the reviews before we purchased a car.

Purchased a car. Car developed a engine fault warning.

We paid for the warranty with NCH.

The people who did the warranty work warned us that they're concerned the work done was dubious as if it was to "get it through passing the MOT"

Take it back to NCH they say the people who did the warranty work are the dodgy ones and not them (then why sell us a warranty...?)

Then was told that this was just a big misunderstanding from Mazz to Jessica, that she got it completely wrong when we were handed the keys back to us by mistake when the car wasn't ready.

In the end several trips and engine light still on with the car going to limp mode time and time again, even though they repeatedly promise us it's safe for a family car...

Do not risk it, no matter how much of a deal the car looks on the surface. Look at other 1* reviews on Google reviews. The good reviews seemed paid for due to it being literally by accounts who have only left a single review to NCH.

Prosessional and friendly service. Quick with paper work and explained ecolvwrything well. Would have had 5 stars but communication lacked a bit when arranging pick up of vehicle.

Honestly a really nice experience. Process was straight forward and they have a wide range of cars. I had already decided what I wanted through auto trader but if you went there I’m sure they would have something you’d like. I am extremely disappointed with my experience. I paid a deposit for a car and was promised delivery within three days, yet it took over a week to arrive.

When it did, the bonnet was so hot I could not open it and it was clearly missing the air intake. I have since found out other essential parts have had to be replaced. I have had three courtesy cars provided that also had mechanical issues, leaving me with no confidence in the garage team.

Despite numerous calls, communication has been minimal. I’ve spoken mainly with Brandon, Jess, and Chris, they have promised updates and timeframes have repeatedly been missed.

It ultimately took more than two weeks just to collect the faulty car from outside my home, and after six weeks I still have not received the vehicle I paid for.
