The camera stopped working when our little one was 17 months old and we only bought it right before she was born. Told it was outside of the warranty period of 12 months and to purchase a new one. Rea... Se mere

Worst monitor on the market
Please save your money and do not buy this monitor! The monitor constantly disconnects and Nanit help will always blame your WiFi. It’s never their problem even though we have never had a single problem with our WiFi and every other product / device that we use works perfectly fine!!! The monitor has a “great” feature where you can play white noise through it. It’s all well and good until it turns off on its own waking your baby up in the middle of the night! So if you want a monitor that will cause you more stress and cause more disruption to your babies sleep then go for it! Over and above the on going issues with the so called best monitor on the market they still charge you for the insights which is absolutely ridiculous given the amount you pay for the monitor itself
The Nanit Pro is a hot steamy pile of junk
The Nanit Pro is a hot, steamy pile of you know what.
The Nanit Pro IS NOT RELIABLE. Imagine if your refrigerator only worked for 3 random hours of the day. This is a lawsuit waiting to happen due to the fact that connecting to the camera works MAYBE 15% of the time. For your child's safety, please DO NOT BUY.
I'm on my second camera
I'm on my second camera, after the first year (and still with a subscription) the camera failed and it was replaced. A year on that camera has also failed. Coupled with the nonsense of the paywall I can't recommend this to anyone. It's a lot of money, the subscription is even more, and it's a cheaply made camera.
In utter despair over this product.
My review of this product echoes almost every other review on this site. I bought this product about 15 months ago, and the connection was occasionally dodgy which I put down to living in an old house. Our router was in the room below the Nanit which I discovered (after an awful lot of researching connection issues) will not connect properly. This is apparently due to there being an electro-magnetic radiation buffer in a fan shape under the nanit to protect the baby. (Not a feature that was advertised anywhere prior to buying the product).
I think I’d rather protect my baby by being able to see him and check he’s moving and breathing!!!!
So we used it for a year with intermittent connection issues, and now, it’s a total write off. It won’t stay connected for longer than a couple of hours. Useless for overnight. I also have to keep the app open or it immediately disconnects, so I can’t use my phone for anything else whilst my son is sleeping. I have tried all the recommended fixes and app updates but it’s not practical going in to the room of a toddler who you are not sure is asleep or not to reset the nanit, and the main reason I want to see him when he naps is to make sure he settles down to sleep, as he doesn’t necessarily cry if not asleep.
We have just returned from holiday where I borrowed a flex stand from a friend, and the router was directly next to the nanit on a shelf, and we were the other side of an internal wall in the next room. It still cut out. Whether I had warranty or not it’s pointless now as it’s just over a year. Have now read from trustpilot reviews there’s no repair service whether included in warranty or not.
It’s such an expensive bit of kit to go wrong, I can’t tell you how upset and disappointed I am at this product. I had planned to get a second unit for baby #2 when I first bought the Nanit, but now I’m faced with having to find another brand and buying double for the two kids. I’m not usually a complainer but I do desperately want to warn other people from making the same mistake. All these 5* reviews when the product is given to people to review I’m sure are written honestly and in good faith but most of them are written after only a day or so’s use. Believe me, a year down the line, it’s good only for the bin.
And as for the price of the subscription, totally overpriced considering the initial price of the product and boy am I glad I didn’t as I’d be 3 months in to a year subscription and no longer able to use the product.
Camera and customer service suck
Camera sucks. It will not stay connected, live view will work on a minute long delay then freeze and it’ll start trying to reconnect. How is that useful for a baby monitor, especially one marketed to track breathing? Customer service has been awful, I’ve tried their troubleshooting recommendations with no fix and 1. Why should I have to reset my router and modem every time I use my baby monitor? 2. Why would I ever move my whole router and modem set up into my babies nursery to “get it closer”, that’s ridiculous. It’s not even 15 feet away in the next room over. They are telling me it’s outside my return window even though I emailed them in the window they didn’t respond until days later.
PLEASE DO NOT BUY THIS DANGEROUS PRODUCT
We have had the nanit for 3 years and I have hated it for this whole period but it was so unbelievably expensive that we have had to stick with it. I now have a second child and have bought a £40 vtech for his room; it is without a doubt much much better.
The nanit lures parents in with a fear that you need to spend £400 on a baby monitor because if something awful happens to your precious baby it would be your fault for not investing in the majority of the safety features provided. This is appalling considering that most of the features don't work!!!
All of the breathing monitoring features ONLY WORK ON A WALL/STAND MOUNTED nanit. We had installed our nanit in our beautiful nursery with a plan to use it in our bedroom connected to the travel stand for the first six months. It transpired that the breathing bands etc don't work unless they are mounted to a wall or over cot stand. So that feature is totally useless. NHS guidelines state that an infant should be in their parents room for the first 6 months....meaning that you either install the nanit in the adults bedroom or the baby's room. Absolutely pointless.
The connection on the device is absolutely appalling. Constant refreshing wheel and having to force close the app and wait a few minutes.
On our monitor the temperature and humidity sensors have never worked again unless on the travel stand?!
After a year of use you have to pay for a subscription and the useless device becomes even more useless. It becomes an absolute nightmare for anyone else to baby sit for you. You have to get rid of one of the parents and replace them for the babysitter on the feed and then readd yourself later on as you can only have 2 people registered to view at any one time. I cannot understand why this is a subscription only feature.
The nanit will alert you at noise or movement but it won't show you why it did that...so you have to open the app, wait 5 mins for the connection to work and then whatever it was that triggered has well and truly gone. OR you child has been crying for a while before you can view that is what is happening.
Honestly this is the worst purchase I've ever made. I wish I could go back in time and undo it. I believe that this product was made for the American market and as such it doesn't comply with many of the NHS guidelines. A total waste of money. Just look on vinted....hundreds of unused breathing bands/swaddles new in their packets being sold for £3-4....shows what a con it is.
Very expensive and have to subscribe
Really good camera but you have to pay to do anything you’d like to do even once you have all of the equipment.
Absolute daylight robbery of a product.
Avoid at all costs.
This is ridiculous!
So annoying 😤 I bought this camera 1 year ago for all his features and now they remove all the notifications 🔔 and ask you to pay a subscription of 100 pounds to get the access back to it! Thats scam! Avoid this camera! 👎🏼🙅🏻♀️
Baby camera has been hacked twice, awful customer service, they are in denial
Baby camera has been hacked twice now. Very unsettling, upsetting and unnerving having a man’s voice saying ‘Hello’ in a very chillin manner. I’ve got two recordings of it now.
I’m horrendously upset about it, Nanit are in complete denial that the camera has been hacked and are happy to argue it with me.
Customer service is awful, heartless robotic personalities. No empathy in the slightest, they continuously say it’s something else in the house producing the sound, which is it isn’t. The voices clearly came from the camera!
Ridiculously expensive for a camera…
Ridiculously expensive for a camera that doesn’t work most of the times and asks you to pay even more for simple features!!! I am tired of seeing the troubleshoot option on my screen!not reliable at all.
Pay a ridiculous amount to then have to…
Pay a ridiculous amount to then have to pay for a subscription to actually use normal features. What a joke
Disappointed with Nanit Pro: Unreliable connection undermines great features.
Nanit Pro is basically the worst of all the consumer electronics I own in 2024, I bought this camera in 2022 having watched a couple of YouTube reviews and decided to spend money for a reliable and quality baby monitor, this monitor is perfect in terms of features, everything a parent can wish for is there and if you pay their insight subscription program you get extra, you basically can't wish more. But all of that is nothing if you cannot get the monitor to connect to your phone consistently, it would work for two weeks and then suddenly refuses to connect the moment you really need it to check on your little one, it has been such a bad experience that I had to purchase a backup £30 smart home camera to ensure I have an alternative. Funny enough, the backup camera is much more reliable and cost a fraction of the £300 nanit Pro, Due to Nanit's unreliability, I would strongly advise against purchasing such an expensive monitor. I had high hopes for it to function properly, but unfortunately, it consistently fails to deliver. If I were a YouTuber, I would have documented my experiences in detail to share with others.
My recommendation would be to go for a simple and cheaper monitor instead. The abundance of features becomes meaningless when you are unable to access or utilize them.
I'm not happy paying £200 odd pounds…
I'm not happy paying £200 odd pounds for a product that then expects you to subscribe. At that price the features should be as standard.
Not looking forward to the prospect of having to contend with the other issues noted in this review. We've installed it now and we'll see how we get on, but I'm not particularly enamoured by the quality of the camera feed, which quite frankly should be better for the price. The app seems to be ok.
We wanted a baby monitor and I thought we'd shell out for something given positive reviews, so I didn't come in with many expectations, but anything with a subscription is a con as far as I'm concerned.
Gone are the days where you could buy an honest product and not be shafted by upselling once you've purchased the damn thing.
Avoid at all costs.
At first I thought this was a god send. I was able to sleep through the night knowing our newborn was breathing.
Now we’re 16 months in and on our 2nd Nanit camera which is now also starting to fail.
The 1st ended up having terrible connection issues after 6 months. Customer service was awful, they just gave me the run around and eventually sent a replacement camera.
The replacement camera is now starting to lose connection all of the time and wakes me up multiple times in the night saying monitoring stopped and that baby isn’t in the crib. Baby is in the crib, they’ve just turned over and for some reason the Nanit is now unable to follow where they’ve moved to.
The app is awful, incredibly slow and laggy.
After 1 year they charge you to get any of the analytics, which seems pointless when it doesn’t connect and barely tracks anymore. I will be attempting to contact their useless customer services for a refund.
If you want to spend hundreds on a piece of kit that will probably only work for a few months, this is for you.
I cannot believe this
I cannot believe this. We had so many issues with the stands for out Nanit. We have the travel stand and the floor stand. The plastic broke on both of them and now the camera is useless as it is not functional without the stand. The travel stand broke after about 13 months, just passed the warranty and the floor stand broke after 2.5 years. Let me just say, the floor stand alone without camera costs $200. It should last until we need to use it for my daughter. The plastic is horrible quality and it literally crumbled into pieces after some time. The company won’t do anything about it if it’s past the warranty. The most horrible customer service ever. Do yourself a favor and save your money. Do not buy Nanit.
Worst service ever
Worst service ever. My baby cries for hours before it notifies me. Service is always lost in the middle of the night. Load times are horrific. Overpriced piece of junk.
Worst product and most awful company I've wasted £250 on
If you're reading this doing research on what to buy, I urge you to NOT get a Nanit.
We spent £250 having read glowing reviews on parenting websites. However I can honestly say I've rarely been more disappointed by a product I've bought - but moreover frustrated by absolutely awful customer service.
Long story short - just over 12 months in our camera now does not work. At all. Instead of doing something about it, Nanit customer service send the same copy/pasted technical instructions they've sent before. All of which we've tried, multiple times. You go round and round and get nowhere. It's like talking to a goldfish. But one that's taken £250 of your money for a terrible product that doesn't work.
It started off being unreliable and disconnecting a lot. But now, just as our son has got ill, it's not working at all. It's broken. But all Nanit do is send the same instructions or ask stupid questions like "what model is your router" - when we've told them we have issues everywhere we take it, not just at home; and literally following instructions they sent in the previous email, have tried connecting via personal hotspot. So it's not an issue with our router then is it?
It's been extremely stressful for me, but especially my partner. We rely on this kind of technology, especially when your child is ill, and you need to trust the product will work. Well you can't with Nanit. Backup is you can trust the company to get it sorted and do the right thing. Well you can't.
I wish I'd read Trustpilot reviews before buying. As you can see, they do not care one bit. I am actually beginning to think that their customer service is intentionally designed to grind you down so you give up and go away.
Do yourself a favour and spend £50 on something more reliable. There's big money to be made ripping off new parents.
Até que é uma boa baba eletronica mas…
Até que é uma boa baba eletronica mas os problemas de conexão e as cobranças desnecessárias depois de um tempo deixam ela insuportável! Não comprem!
If I could give 0 stars I would
If I could give 0 stars I would. Having constant connection issues. The fact the advice is to go restart the camera (when usually the issue happens once the baby is asleep) is ridiculous! Also, the greed of this company that they force you to pay a subscription to get basic info about your baby?! Also love how they don't even care enough to acknowledge these appalling trust pilot reviews. Goes to show that they just want your money and that's it.
