My experience with NACA has been a very positive and eye-opening journey so far. The process is very thorough, and while there is a lot of documentation and preparation involved, I appreciate that NACA takes the time to make sure you are truly prepared for homeownership.
My counselor has been helpful throughout the process and has taken the time to review my financial situation, answer my questions, and explain what I need to provide. The process has also helped me take a much closer look at my finances, my budget, my credit, and my overall financial goals.
What I appreciate most about NACA is that they are not simply helping you purchase a home—they are helping you understand the responsibility that comes with owning one. I have learned more about budgeting, financial stewardship, debt management, and preparing for a mortgage payment that fits within my budget.
There have definitely been moments when gathering all of the paperwork has felt overwhelming, but I understand why the process is so detailed. I am committed to completing each step and continuing toward my goal of becoming a homeowner.

NACA is the best mortgage company in America. With no down payment, closing costs etc along with a dedicated team that provides counseling, support throughout the entire application.

Amazing company with an amazing mission to make homeownership affordable for working people. By far the best mortgage available to your average working person. Only downside is they don’t back the mortgages themselves and instead use BofA for financing which can make qualification feel like a part time job.

So far, so good! I had my pre-counseling session with my counsellor and she was knowledgeable, kind, answered all my questions and was able to show me how much I can afford in month mortgage payments, the maximum mortgage I can afford and how much I should be saving. It’s exactly the information I needed.

On top of the counseloe, there's like 6 other persons involved throughout the process.
The counselor requests the same documents over and over again, he keeps misplacing them. It takes FOREVER for them to respond to your emails. Like 24 to 48 hours. I had to request extensions over and over again just for NACA to come back and request something they should have requested weeks prior. I definitely DO NOT recommend working with these people.
Their repair request is so ridiculous and their estimates are over the sky. It just scares sellers away.
