Went to my first workshop and the people was very friendly and help so much

NACA is an awesome program. No down payment, closing costs or PMI. In addition, you can buy down the rate. That's unbeatable. However, it takes a lot of work. A lot! and a lot of patience! I've been in the program for a while and have seen it change a lot (over the years they limited the amount of buy down or how often one has to be re-qualified). What has remained consistent is my housing counselor, Gladys DeGutierrez. She has been awesome to work with! If you're willing to work hard and be patient, this program is worth it.

NACA experience is so far good. Have submitted all the documents requested. It was alittle pain staking gathering all that paperwork but worth it. Our counselor has been thorough and honest with us from day one which is helping to keep us on track. She educates us which I appreciate. Have to be patient as you go through process.

The service with Katya was great, she answered all of our questions and has made the process of purchasing our first home as easy as possible.

NACA has been a dream to work with. Our counselor, Katya, has helped us every step of the way and made things very easy to understand.

I’m currently going through the NACA Program in hope to become a 1st time homeowner and I must admit that I am committed. I’ve enjoyed the support of everyone included. My NACA counselor  Ms. Sylvia Murillo-Renard has been extremely helpful in everything I’ve done so far. I don’t know much about this process but Ms. Sylvia truly cares about supporting me. She is knowledgeable, patient, and reassuring to a point where I can ask questions about anything. I’m grateful for her being very open with me about each step.

Praise to her and all the other staff for their patience and dedicated, supportive approach. If they don’t know specifics to a question I have, they direct me to someone that can actually help me. Before I take any action ahead, I can say that they help make this a straightforward process. I love that they are committed to the home buying process, making it a genuine care for those who participate.

I am a first-time homebuyer and this program has been such a seamless process from beginning to end. My counselor has also been a great help with detailed explanations of expectations and next steps. I'd highly recommend this program to everyone who wishes to attain home ownership!

As a woman of color, finding a program like NACA honestly felt too good to be true at first. The idea of an achievable path to homeownership with no down payment and no closing costs seemed too good to be true, especially living in such an expensive area. But, going through the process so far has made it feel a lot more possible and less intimidating.

One thing I’ve really appreciated is how patient my counselor has been. They’ve taken the time to answer all of my questions, never made me feel rushed, and clearly know a lot about the different options available to me. Buying a home can feel overwhelming, but having someone explain things in a way that actually makes sense has helped a lot.

I also like that the portal is easy to follow and organized in a way that doesn’t feel confusing. The videos have been especially helpful because they break up a lot of information into smaller, digestible sections instead of throwing everything at you all at once. Overall, the process has felt supportive and educational, and it’s made homeownership feel more realistic for me.

My experience with this program was extremely disappointing. I spent months in the process, paying ongoing credit report fees and following the guidance provided by my mortgage counselors, Romelle Clinton and Melanie Conley. As a single parent with two minor children, I relied on the information I was given while planning for housing after my lease expiration.

Unfortunately, after investing significant time and money, I was informed that my loan would require new underwriting, which contradicted expectations that had been set throughout the process. I felt misled regarding the timeline and requirements, causing unnecessary stress and uncertainty for my family.

I was also concerned about what appeared to be close relationships between certain counselors, realtors, and alliance partners. I felt pressured toward specific service providers and questioned whether alternative options received the same level of consideration. Additionally, multiple Property Specific Letters (PSLs) were denied, and I often felt communication lacked transparency and consistency.

Overall, I left the process feeling frustrated, unsupported, and disappointed. I believe improvements are needed in communication, transparency, and customer service to ensure future participants have a clearer understanding of expectations and requirements from the beginning.

The NACA program is a wonderful program for everyone, no matter what your current income status is or ethnicity. NACA has made it possible for everyone to become a homeowner. With a zero down payment and no closing cost, conventional mortgage loan seems too good to be true, but it is true.

The required 4-hour workshop went by very quickly and was very knowledgeable and educational.
You will receive your NACA ID number that same day and you’re also able to sign up for your first NACA appointment with a NACA counselor, if you chose to or you can wait and give them a call later to set up an appointment.

Please allow me to be very honest with you. YOU must put in the work by submitting all the required documentation, just as you would with any financial institution you’re applying for a home loan with. They also require a little more documentation than other financial institutions, as well.

The difference between NACA and other banks and credit unions, when you’re working toward homeownership, you will not be denied.

This process will take a lot of patience, but it does work. So, commit to the time and effort to reap the benefits of becoming a homeowner. It’s worth it!

The NACA program is GREAT regarding the explanation and eligibility process; thorough; professional; knowledgeable in the home buying criteria; detailed in personal action plans and affordability terms.

Working with NACA has been Amazing. My counselor, Antonio Coronado, was very informative and patient, and he gave me a very detailed explanation of the process and what would be required of me. Buying a home is a huge step, and the process can seem very intimidating and even frightening. Working with NACA helps remove some of the stress that can come with being new to the home-buying process. You must be patient and disciplined; this process will take time and plenty of effort, saving and working toward reaching the goal of homeownership. I am very grateful to be able to participate in this program.

Just started the process with NACA. Feeling overwhelmed already with the amount of action items needed to complete before being submitted for qualification. A lot of work and patience needed. The rewards are worth it though. Your dream home! Time to just roll up the sleeves and get to work, lol. Thanks NACA!!

NACA ID2985062, I FIRST STARTED WITH naca 4/29/2026. MY 1ST COUNSOLR WAS GREAT UNTIL HE RESIGNED. WE HAD TO START OVER FROM THE BEGINING ON 5/11/2026 WE HAD ANOTHER ZOOM MEETING WITH A. ROSEMOND AND THIS IS WHEN EVERYTHING WENT DOWN HILL. SHE STATED IN OUR ZOOM CALL SHE DONT RESPOND TO EMAILS OR CALLS. HUH? BUT ALL CALLS ARE BEING MONTIOR. (BUT NO ONE IS LISTENING) AFTER THE MEETING NOTHING NO EMAILS SHE STATED SHE WILL SEND, NO RETURN OF PHONE CALLS NOTHING. I SPECIALLY ASKED HER DO WE QUALIFY AND SHE STATED YES. SHE STATED SHE WILL SEND AN EMAIL WITH DOCS WE NEED TO SIGN, SO OUR FILE CAN GO TO THE UNDERWRITER DEPARTMENT BEFORE THE GO TO ARIZONA THE END OF MAY 2026. WE ARE NOW IN THE END OF MAY AND STILL NOTHING. OK. I SPOKE TO HER AGAIN ON 5/14/2026 SHE STATED SHE WILL BE OUT THE OFFICE AND WILL GIVE ME A CALL OR SEND AN EMAIL ON 5/20/2026 BECAUSE SHE WAS SICK (THATS A JOKE RIGHT) NO RESPONSE. SO, I SENT HER AN EMAIL AND CC'S SERVICE FOR ESCALATION NO ANSWER. MANAGER LATISHA GETER NEVER RESPONSE & SHE WAS SENT MANY OF ESCALATED MESSAGE FROM ME THAT A DEMANDED THROUGH CUSTOMER SERVICE. SO FAR, I HAVE PAID MEMBERSHIP FEES, CREDIT FEE AND STILL NOTHING. THEY JUST RUN ME AND MY HUSDBAND IN CIRCLES. IF LEAVING THIS REVIEW WILL GET ME An EMAIL OR A CALL BACK THEN THIS IS WHAT IN DOING. WE HAVE SUBMITTED EVERY DOCUMENT ASK OF US AND I FEEL LIKE THEY ARE WASTING MY TIME AND VERY UNPROFESSIONAL TO THE MAX. All of the staff in the NACA program from the workshop to the counselors and the member support team have been knowledgeable, extremely polite and very supportive, I am in the process working with an amazing counselor. I am very close to getting to underwriting. I encourage my friends and other to get involved in the NACA process.
