Migrate self-host to cloud? no problem!
I switched from self-host to cloud. I didn't want to manage it all the time, problems with inodes, docker, etc. I sent my backup of my instance data to the admin, he restored it and my 4 months of data appeared in the cloud. Everything happened within a few minutes. The admin is available on chat - basically he can immediately solve any question, whether it's starting up the MCP server or any support. I recommend it, thank you for the service!

Utile et pratique
Initialisation un peu complexe mais service génial. Je suis assez fan car cela me permet d'avoir des tableaux de bord très utiles pour suivre ma consommation, mieux anticiper et suivre l'ensemble des données liées à ma voiture et mes déplacements

Paghi e non ti riconosce..
Provo a registrarmi per fare l'abbonamento di un mese (per fortuna solo quello). Metto i dati, pago,tutto ok. Faccio per accedere e non mi riconosce. Provo a reimpostare la password, mail non riconosciuta. La stessa mail sulla quale è arrivata la conferma mezz'ora prima. Da lì 4 giorni di mail, adesso hanno anche smesso di rispondere..., del tipo: ti ho sistemato vai pure, e invece non funziona mai niente. Per carità, ho buttato 5 euro, amen.

Falsche Werte, fehlende Aufzeichnungen.
In der übersicht werden falsche Werte angegeben z.b. Das bei DAY 57km 11.7kW/h 40.9kWh/100km. Es wird der Durchschnitt aller Fahrten errechnet. Somit ist der Wert bei vielen kurz Fahrten nicht realistisch.
Die 40.9 sind falsch.
Wen ich mich online anmelde sehe ich den Standort und Werte von anderen Autos die ich nicht kenne.
Parken an einem Ort über Nacht wird nicht aufgezeichnet!

vielen Dank für Ihre Bewertung.
Die angezeigten Verbrauchswerte (einschließlich 40,9 kWh/100 km) werden direkt aus Ihren Fahrzeugdaten berechnet. Auch wenn sie hoch erscheinen mögen, sind sie je nach Fahrbedingungen durchaus im Bereich des Möglichen.
Zu Ihrem zweiten Punkt: TeslaMate verwendet für jeden Nutzer ein individuelles Tesla-API-Token. Es ist technisch unmöglich, auf Daten anderer Fahrzeuge zuzugreifen oder diese einzusehen. Falls Sie glauben, Daten anderer Fahrzeuge zu sehen, liegt ein anderes Missverständnis vor.
Falls Sie ein Problem hatten, wäre die Kontaktaufnahme mit dem Support der schnellste Weg zur Lösung gewesen.

Teslamate est le meilleur datalogger
Teslamate est le meilleur datalogger, le plus facilement configurable même si on n'est pas un expert. Il y a aussi un grand nombre de super utilisateurs qui ne demandent qu'à vous aider.
Il y a encore quelques bugs parfois, mais le support est exceptionnellement réactif.
Pour les ajouts cependant, il y a un manque de communication et de simplification pour des utilisateurs lambdas comme "Control your Tesla device(s) with your AI - no app, no setup" ou la précédente proposition mais cela concerne des suppléments non essentiels dans l'utilisation quotidienne.
Ma base de données commence en juillet/aout 2022 soit bientot 4 ans d'utilisation.

Sorry but Teslamate is not for me
Sorry but Teslamate is not for me. There are for example settings I can’t change into miles per hour and also the display of some variables does not work and displays nil values.
There seems to be no explanation why this is and I am not inclined to find out. I’d rather have a polished interface like TeslaFi than the presented interface with stuff not working. Also the price of almost €50 is to much for an unpolished and not ready to use interface.I Lym for TeslaFi only $70 and that is not much more and the site has a very professional looking interface.

A few clarifications for readers:
“nil” values: These are expected when starting fresh. TeslaMate needs at least 2 drives and 2 charging sessions before certain stats can be calculated. Until then, nil is normal and documented:

So this is not a display issue, just a matter of incomplete data.
Interface comparison: TeslaMate and TeslaFi serve different purposes. One is an open, self-hosted platform with full data ownership, the other is a closed, subscription-based service. Comparing them purely on visual polish misses that fundamental difference.
Pricing: The €44.99 you mention is for a managed hosting option. TeslaMate itself is free and open-source, and users can migrate and host it themselves at any time — something not possible with TeslaFi.
If you’re looking for a plug-and-play solution, TeslaFi may indeed feel more comfortable. If you prefer transparency, control, and owning your data, TeslaMate is built exactly for that.
That said, forming a strong opinion after encountering expected behavior and without exploring the documented setup can understandably lead to… incomplete conclusions.

Bloqué par la sécurité compliquée par un système de Tokens qui bloquent. Malgré le support, je n'y suis jamais arrivé. J'ai essayé de nombreuses fois avant de renoncer. J'ai été remboursé très vite, merci.

Nous sommes sincèrement désolés que l’activation vous ait posé problème.
C’est la première fois qu’un utilisateur ne parvient pas à finaliser cette étape, qui consiste simplement à copier-coller deux valeurs. Dans la grande majorité des cas, cela prend quelques minutes.
La sécurité par tokens est indispensable pour protéger l’accès aux véhicules, même si elle peut sembler fastidieuse au premier abord.
Le remboursement a bien sûr été traité immédiatement.
Des centaines de milliers d’utilisateurs de Teslamate ont réalisé cette configuration sans difficulté, et nous restons bien entendu disponibles pour accompagner chaque utilisateur pas à pas si nécessaire.
Parfait pour ceux qui ne veulent pas…
Parfait pour ceux qui ne veulent pas s'ennuyer à mettre en place une solution, couplée à HedgieMate sur iPhone, c'est top pour le tracking et les informations !!

Incredible insight into your Tesla!
Setup is straightforward as long as you carefully follow the instructions. Once everything settles and you can access the main dashboard, the amount of data available is incredible.
The app tracks everything your car does in real time — drives, charges, energy use, efficiency, sleep states, and more. It doesn’t include historical data from before setup/installation, so if you’ve owned your car for a while, past trips and charges won’t appear.
That said, once your car starts reporting to MyTeslaMate, you quickly realise your Tesla is essentially a rolling data centre. It records everything, and this app gives you full visibility into it all.
Highly recommended for anyone who wants to understand their car’s behaviour in detail or optimise charging and efficiency.
Geek level is 11 out of 10!
