Now this is a handy thing to have if you are too busy to get into the drs and you want to check your bloods it's super easy to use and only takes a few minutes to get the results, this could save your life and you can't put a price on your health.

Results differed from GP's
The results (lipid profile) were different from the bloods I got done at the doctors. The process of taking the blood myself was also unpleasant. This was more than two years ago. (Trustpilot didn't allow me to mark it as more than a year before.) Hopefully they've improved or my imprecise results aren't the norm. N.B. This might say unprompted review but I've had two emails from PocDoc asking for it.

Impressive and worth doing
Initially when I first received this healthy heart check I did put it off for a while as I found it quite daunting having to take my own blood!
However I decided to bite the bullet and give it a shot. It’s actually really easy and there is step by step videos to guide you along the way.
Taking blood wasn’t nowhere near as bad as I thought and I hardly felt the needle for more then half a second.
Once done you wait for the results and you get quite an in depth report. And you can have a pharmacist to arrange to speak to you about the results too for free afterwards.
I’m really impressed I must say.

Total disappointment
Total disappointment. Got the Lipid self test. Followed the instructions. Took over 10 photos of the results and apparently all these photos were blurry. My hands don't shake, the camera on my phone is excellent, the room is very well lit. Not worth it at all!!!

Only works with specific phone models
I got the Healthy Heart Check for free. When I signed up for it, I don't remember seeing anything about needing a particular model of phone, but when I received the kit and was directed to download the app, I saw this was, indeed, the case. I can't remember the exact wording, but it wasn't to the effect that it wouldn't work with an unsupported model, but rather that it might not be as accurate, I think. Anyway, it was unable to take a photo that it didn't deem blurry in the required time. I was sent a replacement, but it was just the same story. It seemed I could get a third one, but there was no point. My phone only came out last year, and it doesn't take blurry photos. The kit itself is very easy to use, but perhaps they should make it clearer to people purchasing it that they will require a particular phone. I have no complaints anyway. It was free - I didn't lose anything.

Great home testing kit
This is such a good way to test your cholesterol levels at home. PocDoc is much better than the other home tests I have used.

Do not waste your money
Do not waste your money on the home cholesterol test kit. Followed all the instructions as per stated and the test came back invalid. Total waste of £20

Great bit of kit
I received the test a couple of days after ordering it. A tiny prick of the finger, and a short wait, and I was shown to have high cholesterol. I had no symptoms. Very glad I found this test. The more fat in your blood, the higher the blood reaches on the scale if you like.

Excellent first class service would highly recommend ProDoc
Very impressed with the test details much better then the GP which just gives you one number Pro Doc gives you good and bad cholesterol and breaks it down so I can understand in layman’s terms. I feel that I can know make life style changes to improve my health. I will definitely return as a patient in the future at least once a year to keep track. Also the results have been added to my medical notes.
