Move Fighters, save your money! Use a reputable company, not this company.
A little bit of context… I’m a 65-year-old widow who just sold the condo she’s lived in since the death of her husband. In November 2025 I had been shopping around for a moving service to assist with my 2-bedroom condo to move from Lake Worth, FL to Winter Garden, Florida. After reviewing proposals from a few different companies, I selected Move Fighters as they had a middle of the road cost, but I trusted them when I had spoken with Cameron, my handler. We reviewed the items that needed to be moved and they said I would need a specific sized truck. This sized truck instinctively sounded too small, and I asked about it but I was told they were sure the truck would be big enough. I’m not a moving expert, so I trusted them. I’m told they have a recording of this conversation, though they refuse to send it to me. Perhaps you’ll have other luck if you choose to use them for your move after reading this
Fast forward to moving day in early December, I was told the team would arrive at 7am originally. In the days leading up they called to ask about the possibility of starting at 8am, which I agreed to, but the team did not show up until 9am. From there, it took them seven hours to pack up most of my belongings, though I was quoted that it would only take 1 1/2 hours. I intentionally say “most” of my belongings because as I worried, not everything fit. They took things off the truck, tried to make more fit, but ultimately had to leave behind a desk, a bookcase, a small bar cabinet, 3 table lamps, 1 floor lamp a small 4-piece patio set, and several pieces of artwork. In addition to this, they were also asked to pack up a few items on the kitchen counter (I thought 2 or 3 boxes would suffice) and some other smaller items. The closing on the condo I was selling was the next day, so all items needed to be removed prior to the walkthrough. Instead of acknowledging any sort of fault, or trying to do anything to make this right, Mover Fighters had Cameron call me to increase the total bill from $1035.00 to $1335.00, which I acknowledged and agreed to. Later though, George, a supervisor who took control of the situation called, and said the final bill would now be $4500.00. You read that correctly, $4500.00 from $1335.00. The reasoning provided to me was that they would go back to my condo the same night and load the truck for a second delivery. I was told I needed to make the full payment prior to them unloading anything or they would not release my belongings, essentially holding my possession hostage for THREE times the cost I agreed to. By held hostage, I not only mean that they wouldn’t unload the truck of my furniture, which I understood to some degree, but they required me to lay the FULL amount BEFORE ever going back to my prior condo to retrieve the remaining items that they left behind. By the time they unloaded the first truck it was 2am. I have a very hard time believing they drove another 3 hours back to Lake Worth to load the truck overnight, but who knows? Oh, and after all of this they still forgot one suitcase behind that my realtor noticed at the walkthrough and graciously mailed to me. From there, I was told the second delivery would be no later than 12pm EST the second day. Then 3pm EST. Then 5pm EST. Finally, they arrived at 8pm EST. You can imagine what this was like all day long in a new home.
There were so many other issues I’d like to highlight here for prospective customers. like 1. They were supposed to go to a storage facility to drop off several items there before bringing me the rest of my furnishings. They dropped off one item and nothing else. 2. The movers were not given my phone number in which to keep in contact with me. This meant I only spoke to Cameron and George who continually provided inaccurate timelines. In fact, George referred to the information Cameron provided me as a “falsehood,” which I found an interesting way to speak about a co-worker. The process for speaking to Cameron/George during the move was that I would call their listed number, leave a voicemail (the phone was rarely ever answered when calling, it was almost always waiting for a return call) and then wait anywhere from 20 minutes to several hours later before either of them contacted me back. When they did finally call, they would constantly say they needed to review the notes before anything would be done, which I believe to be a stall tactic creating more delays in getting the job done. 3. Finally, my movers themselves, though kind, were unable to do the work as expected. One had the flu and did not leave the truck to unload, one had a hard time breathing and required many, many breaks, and the third carried the brunt of the work himself.
If this traumatic moving day were not enough, both Cameron and George were unkind, unapologetic, and looking back, incredibly disingenuous. Save your money.
