The Good: Secured the mortgage: They successfully found a lender for our complex limited company application.
The Bad:
- Terrible recommendations: They introduced us to Ackroyd solicitors, who provided an awful service. I imagine they took a cut for the recommendation.
High maintenance: I had to continually push to keep the application moving forward as certain things had got stuck in a holding pattern. eg I had to contact the lender, Newcastle Intermediaries, myself to fix a critical error because they had the wrong email address for my accountant and contact the lender directly for critical emails for the sale.
Quite expensive: Although certain people in the company were responsive, I felt the broker fee was quite expensive and that they were constantly trying to upsell us services.
Verdict: While they ultimately achieved the main goal, the high cost, administrative stress, and very poor third-party recommendations made for a frustrating experience.

New Wave have looked after our mortgage applications twice now, and both times we have felt in such safe hands, and nothing is too much hassle. Thank you to Debbie and to Rachel for taking such good care of our application and for working so hard to keep us updated and informed. Thank you, Andy and Kathryn x

The service and communication were great and it was very smooth. My only suggestion would be to post important documentation first class as all documentation took about a week to come through.
