Poor fact sheet and product risk transparency e.g. if filtering on global fixed interest products, in most cases cannot see in what countries the “global” bonds are issued and the denominated currency. With the increasing risk of U.S. 38T debt and USD imploding this is of huge importance but Morningstar seems asleep at the wheel.

Too stupid to do business with
These people are as close to inbred as you can get. They have a website that does not show the funds for sale. Great job! When I go to an investment website, I want to see the investment opportunities. I have no idea who in the entire world wants to see all the junk on your website when investors can't even find your funds. There's no possible way I will ever do business with you. How are you even selling?

Watch out for these cons and crooks
Watch out for these cons and crooks. They continue to charge my credit card for services I cancelled. After calling to complain, they prorated my account for 1 month's usage despite the fact I had not logged in for years. Employees working for Morningstar deserve jail time.

Il nuovo sito Morningstar è nettamente peggiorato, non è possibile ottenere i rendimenti per categoria dei vari prodotti. Confrontando i rendimenti dei vari fondi o ETF della stessa categoria i rendimenti generali della categoria stessa non corrispondono e sono incoerenti. Sito nettamente peggiorato e di difficile lettura.

Morningstar has priced itself completely out of the market
I have used the watchlist functionality of Morningstar for probably 2 decades. Now these idiots apparently think that people are willing to pay $249 per year for this very basic functionality. Morningstar has now become obsolete as you can't use the watchlist functionality anymore without a paid subscription. They will loose millions of users on their platform and hence a lot of advertising revenue. This will go down in history as a major mistake. Morningstar is dead.

Ha retirado la herramienta Mi Cartera que era estupenda para seguir mis propias inversiones desde fecha, precio de adquisición y venta, evolución personalizada, porcentaje de cada item en relación a cartera total, flujos de caja etc. Con más de una cartera se pierden los datos históricos de todas salvo una. Una pena, además de la incomodidad de haber perdido datos de cinco años

The site is informative, but some stuff is annoying
I like your site.. informative with most of the info i need to make my investment decisions. But a couple of things i would like to point out. Feedback link isnt working. And more importantly, every time i change or sort anything in my portfolios or watchlists, it asks me if i want to save it.. This is REALLY ANNOYING. I will save it when i want to. Stop asking me that!

Portfolio manager removed
Morningstar decided to remove the most useful functionality on their website. I cannot for the life of me understand why such a decision would be taken. Many investors have relied on this for years to follow up on their portfolio

Their cancellation policy is very bad
Their cancellation policy is very bad. I cancelled on my subscription and they still went ahead to deduct from my balance and this went on for months. I was able to rectify it and recover my money with the help of the company in my profile picture.

Technical issues, no help. My premium sub is useless.
I have had nothing but issues with the canadian website and with my subscription. Even getting the subscription was a difficult process, and the call centre could not process my credit card. I wanted the premium subscription so I could unlock certain filters in the screening tools. However, I can not get the screening tools to work. No matter what paramters I change, I get the same list of stocks. I choose the 0-2% option in the yield filter and it defaults to >8%. Again, no change to stock list. This is just one of many problems I have encountered. There is no phone number fo customer service. I filled in the contact form to ask for assistance or a refund and the submit button did not work (I checked, and I have filled in the form correctly with all fields completed). I seldom write reviews but I am so pissed off with this. A complete rip off and a waste of $150.

Mstar is really slow to fix problems
Mstar is really slow to fix problems I have experienced with exporting various views of my data to Excel. I viewed and downloaded a few views of my EOY data on 1.01.25. They downloaded all of the same view rather than what I was actually viewing. I advised them of an issue on 1.05.25 of the issue. They blamed my browser which I have regularly used for the same thing for many years, and very recently in November and December. It is now a couple of weeks later and the problem still is not fixed. I am a subscriber to the tune of about $ 250 per year. It's shameful that they are not fixing the problem, only telling me to dunce with their "work a rounds"

Total rip off
Total rip off. I had cancelled my subscription and because they have a s***ty system, I still had to cough up $34.95, even though I screen printed my cancellation. Apparently I was supposed to get a confirmation, which I never got. The representative told me their policy didn't allow for refunds on monthly subscriptions and there was not much they could do. Anyways, nothing special about the information they sell. Crooks - they should be shut down.

Premesso che il contenuto che viene fornito a fronte di un abbonamento Premium non vale la spesa operchè essenzialmente vengono forniti gli stessi dati in forma PDF, spesso per fondi di investimento non è presente neanche questa possibilità. A mia segnalazione mi hanno risposto che sono a conoscenza del problema e stan facendo del loro meglio (e vabbè...). Ho inviato disdetta per l'abbonamento e richiesta di non rinnovo e non ho risposta. Consiglio di evitare questa gente.

I wouldn’t give one star
I wouldn’t give one star, except that’s the only way I can actually make this review. Morningstar is highly complex, without customer service that can simplify the process of reviewing stocks and creating portfolios. I’ve had Morningstar for years and still barely know how to use it. I’ve wanted to cancel two or three times with lackadaisical customer service contacting me to solve any of my issues or to even cancel, no reply is standard procedure with my customer rep. In addition, now that I’ve finally reached him and badgered him for a week to call me back. He says I’m not allowed to cancel because I paid a yearly subscription so I have three full months over 350 a month that I’m not getting refunded. Say no to Morningstar there’s many many programs out there through outdated overrated and under serving.

Morningstar, data errors and faulty stock screener
Morningstar publishes incorrect data on stocks and takes years to fix problems, if ever. (1) Add some dividend-paying stocks stocks to a watchlist, download the list each day and compare to previous day, watch the dividend amount and the dividend yield. It is the *div amount* that fluctuates each day, not the yield! Mstar support says they calculate the div amount from the price and the yield (so where does Mstar get the yield and isn't it the co that declares the div amount?). The problem was reported almost two years ago and is still not fixed. Do a web search for "morningstar dividend wrong andy fraser" (2) The advanced stock filters don't work, was confirmed as not working by Mstar in a shared desktop session close to two years ago, still not fixed. Sites such as Seeking Alpha, Investing.com, Barchart.com are more functional, have more data, have more accurate data, are more affordable, and support is more responsive. Mstar is ok for their ratings, but not their data or stock screener.
