Depressing Experience Riverview Florida

My wife and I have not been to Moe's for a while and decided to go for lunch the day after Christmas. There was one employee helping a guest and mumbled, "Welcome to Moe's." I was taken back by the length of the male employees pony tail which came out the back of his hat.

The menu changed and signs for RIP for previous menu items and just felt depressing. We ordered a ground beef homewrecker bowl and Adobo chicken bowl. I understand portion control, but the lack of protein portion was ridiculous. He kept on shaking the serving spoon providing a miniscule amount of chicken.

My wife gave me the don't say anything look and we moved to the checkout. The female employee was not friendly at all. We ate and it seemed like we were just eating a salad bowl. I had no idea what the chicken tasted like.

I called the corporate office and shared my poor dining experience on 12/26/24 and have not heard anything from the store manager. I call it like I see it with my food reviews and maybe you have had a similar experience or not.

Gave away my order then said they will…

Gave away my order then said they will remake it while I waited for 15 min they never started on the remake. After I walked to the front the lady asked can I help you? I said yes I would like my burrito and she gave me a nasty look and said well we don’t even know what you had on it. They expected me to wait in line all over again to reorder. Terrible rather starve then come back! I hope corporate sees this and makes changes!

What???I’ve noticed the last few times…

What???I’ve noticed the last few times that they have gotten very skimpy with portions, but this is absolutely ridiculous! I ordered the bowl with white chicken and seasoned rice… I got maybe a 1 1/2 cups rice with a half cup of chicken!!!! What’s the what??? Inflation plays a big part in reducing the amount served but be honest and give people their money’s worth.

No matter what location you go to it' worst of the worsts…

No matter what location you go to it's just terrible we live in South Tampa and went to the one on Neptune. We got chicken burritos with no chicken my son got a ground beef burrito that maybe had a teaspoon of ground beef we also got the chicken and rice bowl again no chicken we got the steak and cheese bowl and there were maybe 10 of the tiniest pinky nail slivers of beef dust it was hard and tasted old. Extremely dry. Absolutely rancid.
So a few months later we decided to try the location off of Bloomingdale and Providence in the Brandon Riverview area. That location was even worse. Again they don't put meat in anything. The tiny little slivers you might get are hard and dry. We ordered pretty much the same things as we did in the South Tampa location and this time we got a little tiny bit of chicken dust no more than a tablespoon. My son's ground beef burrito was totally missing the ground beef this time. The chips were stale.
The burritos were also missing the peppers and onions the chicken bowl had a bunch of onions but no peppers. Just horrible across the board.
This is the greediest, lowest quality burrito Tex Mex restaurant ever. They will straight up rip you off and act like they're doing you a favor by serving you slop. Do yourself a favor and go to Qdoba. The food is always fresh, it's never missing ingredients, you actually get what you order and what you pay for. Amazing service as well. And did I mention the food is actually tasty, excellent quality and fresh....

The orchard park location is terrible

The orchard park location is terrible. It is always dirty. They are always running out of food and the quantity of food is so small to what you pay for. I was in there recently, I had a gift card and when I went to use it I was told that there was nothing on the card, after the kid at the register pushed A LOT of buttons. I had just received the card that day, I had the receipt for it. The kid offered to keep it. I told him no I would take it back, ( I wanted to bring thus to the attention of the person who gave UT to me). When I got home with my order, that I had to pay for, I went on line to double check the card and it said the card had been used at the Orchard Park NY location just minutes before. I went back to the restaurant and asked for my money back, just the value of my gift card, and the kid who checked me out immediately Saud to me he didn't steal my $25, I never said he did. He proceeded to argue with me even though I wad speaking to the shift supervisor, who had to call a regional manager for approval to give me my money back. She did refund my whole order. I will NEVER go there again. More should really hit some adults to work in their restaurants, its just a free for all with all these kids working there. I used to live going there but UT has gone down hill in the past couple of years.

Never again!!!

Went and ordered a bowl in the springhill location. Asked for extra chicken paid $14.00 for my bowl and it has nothing in it. Besides them being out of everything what they gave me was so little. I need to go buy something to eat. Never again!!! The worst of the worst.

Read reviews before you go I wish I had

I would give none if I had a choice, staff unhelpful and food was cold as it takes that long to wait at each section and finally no salsa with the chips would of been nice to be told when I was ordering or I wouldn’t of ordered at went somewhere Elsa so I guess that’s why they don’t tell you.

On May 7th at approximately 845pm

On May 7th at approximately 845pm, my daughter and I was being serviced by Alana Trauffer and an African American young man. My daughter asked for sour cream for her bowl. The young man squeezed the bottle twice and mainly air came out. He then told Alana that he was out of sour cream as my daughter had asked for additional sour cream for her bowl. Alana proceeds to open a new bag of sour cream and spread this large amount of sour cream in the bowl. At this point the bowl was inedible as it was entirely too much sour cream, so I asked her for a new bowl and expressed that it was too much and that she knew the she put too much sour cream on the contents of the bowl. Alana proceeds to tell me "You are wasting food". The African American gentleman proceeds to get a brown cup to scrape the excessive amount of sour cream from the top of the bowl and was attempting to give it to me. I explained to her that as a "paying customer" I had the right to request a new bowl and not accept nor pay for a bowl that is inedible at this point. She continues to be very mouthy with me and being very disrespectful. I proceeded to ask the Caucasian gentleman in line behind me if he would eat the bowl that she had prepared for me and he verbalized no and because he witnessed the exchange and commented on the lack of customer service skills by this young lady at this point. Because Alana continued to be mouthy and disrespectful towards me, I asked to speak with the manager. A Caucasian young man whose name is Michael Greeson, identified himself as the manager. I asked Michael if he was going to let this employee talk to his customer in this manner. Although Michael apologized, it felt rushed and insincere. Michael did fix another bowl after I requested its again. Alana proceeded to make a call and was telling someone on the phone about the incident, however it was not an accurate account. At the register, Alana stood to the side of the young lady that was tallying my bill and stated that I "cursed her" and that she has the right not to service me and that the entire incident had been recorded. I told her that was great because I did not "curse" at her and I want her management to see how she treated her customer. I am extremely dissatisfied with the customer service I received tonight by your staff. I am sure that this is not the environment that you all are trying to create as other locations always say "Welcome to Moe’s" upon entering the restaurant, however this is not the case with this store location. I am a frequent patron of this establishment, and have witnessed Alana's demeanor and body language on several occasions and she is not friendly and her body language displays that she doesn't want to be there. As of tonight, I will no longer be a patron of this establishment until you all are able to treat ALL patrons equally and respectfully. I sincerely hope that you will take the time to watch the video as this young lady is in dire need of customer service classes. Furthermore, I did not appreciate her making false accusations against me as this can be very damaging to one's reputation, especially when these false accusations are made against African Americans by Caucasians. I am a respectable citizen in the community and expect to be treated as such just like to other patrons that frequent this establishment. This young lady refused to apologize after the exchange. Additionally, I called back to the store to speak with the manger and Alana responded that she was the manager. During this exchange, she still did not apologize when I brought up the importance of apologizing when dealing with customers as it goes a long way. I would like a call from upper management and corporate to discuss this matter further. I have attached a picture of the second bowl with too much sour cream. Additionally, the picture showcases the extra sour cream that was removed from the bowl.

Great experience

Never order online.

I've been going to Moe's for years. Awhile back the Cape Coral store got awful. I was put in touch with the district manager and he did get back to me and said he'd handle the situation. He told me to come back and try them again. I waited for several months before I took my family back. When we went back, they had all new employees and everything was great like it was prior to them having all those losers (working?) there. What I'm upset about now is my first and only online order which they screwed up. I would not have written this review except for the fact that I tried 2 times for someone to get back to me from corporate. Evidently, they don't care about their customers. I hope if the district manager is still with the company, that could handle customer service the way he did before. I don't know how to get in touch with him. I could tell that the last 2 people I spoke to weren't going to get back to me. I still like Moe's and will be going back but it's become apparent that corporate doesn't care about good service.

I walked into the Winthrop river view location , today around 2 pm. I was met by two really nice women . A black woman and a white woman . They are really what we need on the food industry and I can’t wait to come back . The first thing I said was extra rice and beans I am a big boy . We both smiled , really I was starving because I am 6”5 In Height and I can eat . I enjoyed myself and I hope they do great things with you guys moving forward .

The South Tampa location is great

The South Tampa location is great. Nice food, staff are always friendly & generally very quick service. It is a little bit pricey but everything is nowadays. Never had any issues with the food or service, I’m always happy. Sometimes they are out of a lot of drinks in the digital coke machine, but that’s probably just a small stock issue. The south Tampa location even still says ‘Welcome to Moe’s’!

Downfall of a great restaurant "Moe's"

Moe's in Conyers have literally crashed in their food and service quality. No more "Welcome to Moe's. After seeing their food and service, I see why. Very little portions (How much does rice and beans cost) Very little meat, watered down cheese dip. It was on bottom when we arrived home with no taste. Server gave 1/2 spoon of dip. I asked can you give a little more. She charged Double. Request for additional vegetables was met with a disdain look. At the end, the kicker was about 1/3 bag of chips. Request for more were ignored. This use to be one of the best food experiences. They are so pitiful I had to write a review. The bill for this meager bowl was $16.57 They said it was due to extra cheese dip. This franchise may be tanking with days numbered. I ate at another Moe's in Atlanta. They are still the best. I truly miss the Friendly Spanish experience of cultured food and association. Hope they will send a secret shopper and correct the major deficiency that totally the opposite of the great reputation Moe's is known for,

Beware of in-app offers

I generally like the food, as long as they aren't stingy with their cooked peppers, onions & mushrooms, which they are at times. If they had their way, at least near me, they want to load up each item with empty calories, including gobs of rice & unlimited chips, so I try to limit that.

What brought me here is their tech/app. Most recently they sent me an in-app savings offer which was enough to get me there. But as has happened at times in the past - - it didn't fly at the check-out counter & I've paid full price when I was expecting a discount. This time a manager discounted my meal. But the receipt would not allow itself to be copied by the app, so that I could also claim my loyalty points.
I then attempted to e-mail a copy of the receipt to their customer service but it bounced back with a message that the e-mail box is full, which I have never heard of an e-mail box being full in the brief history of e-mail, unless they can set a limit on it.

I only go there if I have a discount, so if it doesn't work at the counter, I'll simply leave my custom item there & walk out. If they're going to make these offers, then they better be able to be claimed.

Nightmare of a customer service exchange

I had the oddest of poor customer service at Moe's corporate. After my order was canceled with no explanation, I emailed their customer support line to get back the reward I had spent on my order. The customer service agent, for reasons I cannot fathom, told me my reward had been used and there was nothing she could do. Then closed the case.
I'm perplexed who instructed their staff, outsourced or not, to be churning through tickets at this speed.

Too much plastic for me!

I used to eat at Moe's Southwest grill two or three times a week. I stopped going to Moe's because of all the plastic this company uses. For the past two years I've been eating at other restaurants next to Moe's but not at Moe's. I've seen the other restaurants change out their plates and bags from plastic to paper and cardboard recently, so I thought I would give Moe's another try. Unfortunately Moe's is still serving everything in plastic. For to go items they're serving in a big bowl with a plastic lid which is completely unnecessary. Salsas are now in plastic instead of self-serve, and the forks are now in plastic. Plastic plastic plastic! I will not be eating at Moe's anymore.

Stopped into the Cortland

Stopped into the Cortland , Ny #3691 for lunch with my daughters and granddaughters. Was so disappointed in every aspect of my visit , Terrible food , terrible service, rude staff , overpriced . From the minute we entered it was a turnoff , we should have turned around and left . A half hearted Hello welcome to Moe’s . So to put it simply I WILL NOT BE A REPEAT CUSTOMER !!!!
