Same as steve ordered the bbq pergola with back paid deposit through PayPal never came, shit house company, steve maze living sell them just go direct in the sale.

I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR A CUSHION ORDER THAT WAS SUPPOSE TO SHIP JUNE 1ST, ORDER APRIL 7TH, IT IS NOW AUG 11TH, WHEN I CALL CUSTOMER SERVICE IT GOES TO A VOICE MAIL. THIS IS A TERRIBLE COMPANY, I AM GOING TO CANCEL MY ORDER. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM, UNLESS YOU DONOT NEED YOUR ORDER FOR A LONG PERIOD AND YOU DON'T CARE THAT Y0UR MONEY IS TIED UP.

This is a rogue company. I order an outdoor kitchen pergola and paid £675 deposit. Never heard back from them despite numerous calls, emails and using their online ‘chat’. I googled the address they are registered and looks like a block of flats. Do not order from this company I hope Action Fraud take them down!

Had to go to my bank to reclaim the money.

Had my cash for over 2 months.
No response to calls, messages or emails absolute shambles.
Still dont have my goods and wont hold my breath.
Wish i had read these reviews before i went ahead with the purchase.

My delivery is well overdue and yet I have yet to receive any update, or any response to my online enquiry, telephone call, or email to their customer service. Really poor service so far...

DO NOT BUY FROM HERE…. SCAM!!!

My husband ordered a pergola for our newly renovated back garden. Ordered the item in May and was told it would be available for delivery in early July. The date had past so he tried to contact them. No answer to email, no answer to phone… weeks of chasing and still no answer. Took our money and done nothing. Please please please do not waste your money here. There communication is nonexistent and they take your money with nothing in return. Thankfully, the bank has been able to retrieve the money but I don’t want the same thing happening to other people.

There were some quality issues with the rattan furniture as delivered last week. Have sent photos to Modern Rattan and asked for replacement parts. Sent this to all their contact email addresses and phoned nearly every day to chase up. The Chat function doesn't work either. No responses at all. I would advise anyone reading this to stay well clear.

Ordered furniture covers on 05.07.26, delivery stated 5-10 days, chased on 19.07.26 by e-mail - no reply received. Phoned and e-mailed again on 24.07.26 - can only leave a message on the phone. Link on order confirmation states oops there is a problem !!! Order with caution - I will be referring this to my credit card company if I do not receive the goods soon !!

I have been waiting over 2 months for a delayed order.
I have emailed, left messages, tried the live chat and no response.
I’ve no idea where my order is or when I will receive.
Placed back in March and was meant to be delivered end of May.
So I can not comment on the item but the customer service so far is shocking

To update 3/8/27 still haven’t heard back and have sent more emails, left voicemail and tried the live chat.
I am at the point of contacting my bank to reverse the transaction.

I ordered a side screen for 3m pergola twenty days ago it has not arrived ! I ring everyday never get an answer just message I have tried live chat every day since the ten day delivery widow closed never get to chat to anyone. Sent six emails ! You guessed it NO REPLY! WHEN I ORDERED IT SHOWED OVER 400 in stock. I go to my account then see unfulfilled. Where is my order !

If you’re thinking of ordering anything from Modern Rattan UK, think again. They must have the worse customer relations of anyone I’ve ever dealt with. They do not answer the phone, text messages or emails and their messagebot is not fit for purpose. We pre-ordered garden furniture in April and it’s still not been delivered half way through the Summer. Despite repeated attempted to find out what had happened to my order the company have been completely silent. Don’t be tempted by their discounted offers. What’s the point if it’s never delivered? A better alternative is Maze garden furniture. Same products but a legitimate company.

Avoid Avoid Avoid!!! Waited over 10 days for the delivery of a parasol, managed to get through to the ‘owner’ and the parasol was delivered shortly afterwards, happy days, until we used the parasol and realised the crank part was faulty, it does not open and keep straight, it keeps tilting, we can’t use it if there is a slight breeze as it keeps spinning round and looks like it’s going to break. I contacted the company again and eventually managed to get through to the same guy, who said he had another lady with the same issue, the pin is missing so he would contact maze for a solution, that was over 3 weeks ago, since then we have called many times, emailed many times and it’s radio silent! my husband went down to the address showing on the website as it’s local to us and it’s a chartered accountant who has never heard of the company! Please do not buy from this company, they clearly supply faulty goods and then avoid all communication! I believe this to be a one man band! Del boy springs to mind!!

Ordered and paid for garden furniture on 25/6. Delivery est was 5-10 days. I have not received anything and I cannot contact the company despite sending several emails, calling and attempting web chat. I am very worried that I have been scammed
Update 1/8 still nothing from the company and unable to contact. Luckily paid via PayPal and have managed to get a refund

We ordered an outdoor furniture set at the start of April and had to wait well over a month for delivery. This arrived with defects, dents in the metalwork and damaged paint. Modern Rattan organised for a replacement set, which was delivered a few weeks later with the similar defects.

We requested a full refund at the beginning of June and only one set was collected. Since then I have had no communication from Modern Rattan, they do not answer the phone, emails, webchat or Facebook messenger. I had to go to Maze trade sales and their courier didectly to organise collection of the outstanding set, and supply evidence to my bank for a credit charge back.

This whole process has been extremely stressful and I would advise against using this business if you are seeking a professional customer service.

I put a review on hear on the 7th June complaining about the lack of communication from customer services, the next day I received a telephone call apologizing and a £35 credit back to my account, which I have received, and was also assured I would be kept updated of my delivery which should have been 29th June NO delivery, I have contacted them a few times and eventually had an email on 10th July saying someone would be in touch, still waiting. I placed my order on 14th May. This company is a joke and I won't be using them again. Wendy

Wouldn’t even give them 1 star. Took my money and they went unresponsive to weeks of calls, voicemails, emails and web chat. DO NOT USE!!!!!!!!

If I could give 1 Star I would. Placed. Deposit for an item supposedly to arrive at their warehouse 15/06/26. No communication from them saying it would be delayed! Contacted saying it would be 16/07/26, but then immediately told it would be August. Informed them to cancel the order and issue a refund. Which they agreed to. 16/07/26 no refund received after 5 weeks of waiting. Tried calling several times, can never get to speak to a human, left messages, no reply! Sent email via their online contact, no reply!! Been on to their online line “Chat” which in its self is misleading, as you never get to “Chat” to whoever!!! Several times waited over 2 hours with no contact!!!! Beware if you purchase anything!!!!!

Have been waiting over two weeks for my item that was supposed to be 5 days, tried emailing, calling and chat but nothing..no response nothing shocking service!!

Avoid this company to save you hassle and money.What a joke this company is. Tried calling them,sent email, even used their chat service. DIDNT GET ONE REPLY BACK. Been waiting over 12 days for a product which their website shows 545 items in stock. How difficult is it to send a fabric cleaner product. Now trying to get a refund, but like others dont hold much hope for this. Will be seeking redress from my credit card co, and also getting in touch with Trading Standards Team for the Sutton Coldfield area.
