More than a one time expense
After a year of using this chair the lumbar support (a springy plastic part) lost its elasticity, started digging into my back & causing me a lot of pain. I called the company for repairs & getting anyone on the phone was a task in and of itself - but once I had someone on the phone (after 5 days of calling) they were far more interested in educating me on how many chairs they've sold & how successful they were than offering me support. When I asked to speak with the owner he was quick to let me know that he "doesn't usually speak with customers".
Having been through all this I was curtly informed that I would not be able to purchase the part which was the root cause of the issue, but instead, I would have to purchase the entire back - at a cost of 25% of the initial purchase.
To be fair, the owner offered to reduce this to 22%
