Scammers! Chinese based company, pretending to be in Melbourne. Bought a lamp for $100 and was terrible quality. Tried to get a refund, they told me I had to send back to China, which was another $40, and it never made it, stuck in customs. Beaware! do not buy!

Scam company.
Not based in Melbourne.
Address, email and phone contacts all from different countries abroad.
My product arrived late and in different condition to advertised.

Like all the other reviews here, I came here to say that Misterlamp Melbourne is not based in Melbourne and is nothing more than a scam website that will send you useless defective junk that can't even be installed. You'd get better lights off Temu. Absolute criminal behaviour in contravention of Australian Consumer Law.

Absolutely do not buy from this seller. The product is cheap garbage. Stopped working after 1 charge and the seller has not got back to me. STAY CLEAR.

Order took over a month to arrive. The lamp is cheap plastic and the colour is completely different to website (it was meant to be a soft pale blue and it’s a garish bright blue)

Even though the reviews for this company are awful, I seem to be the lucky one because my item arrived safe and sound, well packaged to avoid damage and on time, I love my lamp! Quality could be better but it’s exactly as pictured.

Sent the wrong order first after several months. Then the correct order turned up correct but with the wrong colour connections. I asked for them to send the correct colour and they refused stating it fell outside of the 30-day return period. Avoid using this company - not sure how they are in business.

Scam company. Send poor quality faulty goods. You have to return to China at your own expense and they still have note refunded me 3 months later. DO NOT USE.

This is a terrible "drop shipping" sham of a company and even worse returns experience. I ordered five items from this company. 3 were OK, one was exactly as I wanted. One item arrived cracked. The actual lamp was not what was advertised (different switch, completely different proportions) they refused to refund until the item was returned to China, at my expense. Then, the box was sent back to me unopened. No refund (to date). This company needs to be held accountable.

Don't trust them. They are a scam.

Save your money, long wait time paid $$ for what i thought would be a quality product, received in damaged packaging, was put together incorrectly the touch to turn on does not work properly. Had to spend time trying to fix it myself before use, cheap materials used (plastic)

If you have an issue with Mister Lamp Melbourne, please register a complaint with the ACCC. The more complaints and information they receive about this company breaching Australian Consumer Law, the more likely they are to take action and prevent it from selling to Australian consumers.

Avoid this selker if you can. I had a terrible experience and believe it's a scam. Just like other reviews have mentioned, the quality of the product is very poor. I sent it back to China, but they refused to pay the customs tax, so the lamps were eventually shipped back to Australia. Sofia is still trying to convince me that the refund will be processed as soon as they clear the customs tax. Chinese scam.

I have requested to cancel the order before it’s shipped and they are refusing to do so. All I get are automated responses saying that they cannot interrupt the order once it’s processed. What terrible service and questionable business practices. They basically have said that I need to send it back for a refund when I receive it in 3-5 weeks. How about don’t ship it at all……DO not order from this business. They’re not from Melbourne and are a sham.

DO NOT BUY. This company is falsely advertising that they are based in Australia when their business if registered to a throw-away address in the UK. The actual company is based in China and dispatches poor quality items. We received lights that looked nothing like the reference images and were told we had to ship them back to China at our expense. We did ship the items back even though they cost us $200 AUD and have been informed they are now stuck in Chinese customs awaiting import duty tax. The company is refusing to pay the import tax and we can't call anyone to pay the taxes either so have been left in limbo. This company is refusing to provide a refund despite us having returned the goods, which amounts to theft. The only way to contact them is through a chat bot named 'Sofia' as the phone number they provide is not connected. They operate several websites pretending to be in various international cities, but all are under the same UK business. I have reported the business as a scam to Australian authorities and banks and will be notifying the relevant UK authorities to shut it down.

Like the majority of all the other reviews. Absolute sham of a company. The product arrived broken, and then they refused to refund me and told me I had to ship the product back to China at my expense. This is against Australian Consumer law but I have no idea how enforceable it is (if at all) for international companies, although they pass themselves off as Australian (Melbourne-based). They sent me two new products and guess what, one doesn't work and the other won't re-charge, a total and complete waste of money. I deeply regret my purchase and will never use them again and be sure to let everyone I know not to.

DON’T WASTE YOUR MONEY! Ordered x3 pendant lights for the kitchen of my new build, photos showed a lovely smoked glass pendant. What I got was a cheap mirrored look pendant light straight from china (says they are a Melbourne store well the product didn’t go via them for quality assurance at all) and one was a completely different size. They would not help at all so over $450 down the drain.

Based in China. Nothing “Melbourne” or even “Australian” about them.
Ordered 4 lamps. 2 never arrived. The 2 that did were honestly worse than Temu standard. Looked like a craft project gone wrong. You’ll get the usual automated email run around where they basically frustrate you. Liars who should be absolutely ashamed of themselves. We stupidly didn’t do our homework first. Hopefully all the negative reviews here will help others.

We realised they were scammers a few days after ordering. We emailed them requesting the order to be cancelled. They refused even though nothing had been shipped.

2 eventually arrived and the quality is just laughable. I wouldn’t even donate them.

They gave us an address to return them to. A friend in China contacted the address and got told by Mr Yu to not bother sending back as the postage is more than the value of the lamps (tells you everything you need to know!). In fact he begged us not to return. Told us to just request a refund. Which we did. And of course got told by “Sofia” (nice authentic name, yes?) to return them. Mr Yu says, “please don’t return”. Sofia says “please do return”. Sofia says if we don’t return she’ll give us 5% refund. Whole thing is laughable and little your bank can do as they’re an overseas op and you approved it.

Disgusting people. We paid over $1000 for lamps that only probably cost a few dollars to make.

Similar to others, I thought the site was legit, but the product arrived broken and faulty. They are currently trying to convince me to send back to China. I’m glad I read the other reviews here saying the same thing, I won’t be sending it back. I’ll try to get a chargeback through my bank.
