We want every child to reach the primary school gates confident, excited to learn, and equipped with essential classroom skills and experience. We want every child to push those gates open with a skip in their step and a song in their heart.
Our 3 Step Process to Give Your Child the Best Start:
1. Enrol in a Mini Maestros class.
2. Let our age-appropriate, sequential, inclusive music and movement program provide a nurturing and fun space for you and your child to make social connections, develop confidence and be free to fully self-express.
3. Celebrate and connect with your wonderful local community as you marvel in the positive developments your child makes giving them confidence and sense of well-being.

Session length is too short
Hi there, the training is good, however, session's length is really short, most sessions are actually held for about 20 minutes as to gather everyone or say good bye, take quite time.
Sessions are needed to be 45 minutes so at least there is half an hour of useful time for kids to worth the cost.

We'd like to explain our approach to session length, which is based on 40 years of expertise in preschool education. Our current session duration is specifically designed for optimal learning outcomes for young children. Research in early childhood development shows that preschoolers have shorter attention spans and learn most effectively through focused, age-appropriate timeframes rather than extended sessions.
The gathering and goodbye times you mentioned are actually valuable learning components – especially in the first 3 weeks of term. They help children develop social skills, routine recognition, and transitional abilities that are crucial for their overall development. These moments aren't "lost time" but rather intentional educational opportunities.
We've found through four decades of experience that longer sessions can lead to overstimulation and decreased engagement in young learners. Children need repetition and consistency within appropriately timed activities to truly absorb and retain musical concepts. Our current format maximises their attention and participation while ensuring they leave each session feeling successful and eager to return.

Michelle is amazing and interactive with all children, my son looks forward to going every week. As we know kids sleep can be very up and down, Michelle is happy and flexible for you to pop in other days that work out better.
We love the elements of music as well educational development incorporated in the program.
If you need something to do with your child highly recommend mini maestros, in particular the Altona north location.

Sheay is a very knowledgeable, quietly
confident and kind person. The classes are age appropriate and good fun. The venue is suitable and clean and comfortable. It’s a delightful experience. We are finishing our second term.

Budding musician
Valerie, the teacher, is very engaging and interactive with the children. My grand daughter loves to sing the songs, play the instruments and dance. She is very happy and comfortable being there and looks forward and is excited to go to mini maestros each week.
I highly recommend MiniMaestros as an introductory to music and musical instruments and also where the children feel safe to mix and interact with other children.

An amazing teacher who introduces little ones to the magic of music
Michelle is so wonderful and both our children adore her. The excitement in their eyes at each lesson says it all. We absolutely love attending Mini Maestros and the wonderful and loving environment which Michelle provides for our little one’s to enjoy music

My grandson has really come out of his shell since attending classes with Kate. It is pleasing to note that each exercise has a purpose for the children’s development. It is great bonding time and I hope it continues.

Michelle is gentle, engaging and patient with the little ones. She keeps things rolling leaving little time for distraction, but will work around the littlies who struggle to stay focused (such as my grandson)

Kylie is the most wonderful teacher. I first met her 26 years ago when I took my eldest son to her class. He is now 29 and I'm taking his son to her class!!!!
Music is so important for children and starting them in this program is amazing.

Fantastic Class!
Chantelle is very interactive and consistently engages with every child throughout each song. The music and instruments are age appropriate and lots of fun! I have done this class with two of my children now and they both loved it!

This was the highlight of my 2 year old’s week. Tiffy engaged the children so well, encouraging them to develop both a love of music and a keenness to participate. The songs and activities are very age appropriate.

We absolutely adore Chantelle and this class! It is fun, interactive and brightens our whole week! My two year old is always up front, dancing and playing instruments, it’s great for his confidence and making new friends too!
