We want your child to thrive, so we make it easy to support their well-being.
We embrace different learning styles and make learning fun.
We combine wonderful local communities with passionate music teachers, resulting in new friendships and creative, confident and expressive young minds and so much fun and laughter.

We want every child to reach the primary school gates confident, excited to learn, and equipped with essential classroom skills and experience. We want every child to push those gates open with a skip in their step and a song in their heart.
Our 3 Step Process to Give Your Child the Best Start:
1. Enrol in a Mini Maestros class.
2. Let our age-appropriate, sequential, inclusive music and movement program provide a nurturing and fun space for you and your child to make social connections, develop confidence and be free to fully self-express.
3. Celebrate and connect with your wonderful local community as you marvel in the positive developments your child makes giving them confidence and sense of well-being.

Julia is truly one of a kind — a magical, nurturing, and inspiring teacher who brings so much heart into everything she does. From the very first class, it was clear she has an incredible gift for connecting with each child in her care.
She intuitively understands their personalities and adapts her approach so beautifully, making every lesson feel special, joyful, and full of discovery.
Our 3-year-old daughter absolutely lights up around Julia. Her confidence, curiosity, and love for music have flourished in ways we never expected. Julia doesn’t just teach — she cultivates creativity, self-expression, and genuine passion for learning.
We’re constantly amazed by her patience, playfulness, and boundless enthusiasm. She has created an environment where little ones don’t just learn music — they grow, dream, and believe in themselves. Julia has truly been a guiding light in our daughter’s early journey, and we feel endlessly grateful for the care and inspiration she brings every single week.

Dear Ana. I cannot express just how touched I am by your kind words. From the moment I met you and Miss E, I knew that someone special had come into my life. I have loved every moment of watching Miss E grow - both in size and in confidence. This year especially, Miss E’s confidence has been staggering to see. I felt like I was witnessing a beautiful, gentle flower bloom to its enormous potential. I know that all of us in the class felt the same way, and were often in awe of your amazing little girl. From someone who would hardly volunteer a sound in class, to now leading the class in singing to bumblebee, Miss E has brought me and others so much joy. Thank you for allowing me the privilege of being a part of your lives. I hope that music continues to inspire and delight Miss E and your gorgeous family for years to come. 🐝💞🎵
Julia Kaplan is amazing!
Julia Kaplan is an amazing teacher. My 1 year old daughter Elise is quite timid, shy and takes a long time to warm up to new environments. Julia's gentle, kind and warm approach has brought out the best in my daughter. Throughout our first term at Mini Maestro's, Elise has gone from crying in the lesson to now participating with instruments, smiling, waving and clapping with the rest of the group. I love seeing the confidence that has grown within her over the last term and watching her enjoy music in class the way she does at home. Julia takes a personalised approach with each child to make them all feel comfortable and welcome which is so reassuring as a parent. We enjoy the music and the variety of instruments we have been introduced to so far!

I have loved watching Elise grow in confidence from week to week! I strongly believe in giving each child the space and time they need to truly flourish, and our program allows for this seamlessly. Super fun
My daughter loves her sessions with Julia. They are super engaging and fun. The class sizes are not too big so each child gets individual acknowledgment. Julia is wonderful ☺️

Inexperienced teacher
Teacher claimed have a child centered approach but her whole teaching was didactic... focusing on delivering the lesson and not trained to integrate each child's interest. My child likes percussion and she refused to let him explore. The teachers should be hired with a background of working with children. Too bad.

Thank you for your review. Mini Maestros is a structured educational program with the focus on learning through play, not a free-play session. To achieve learning outcomes, such as those advocated by the Early Learning Framework, our trained teachers direct the activities and lead the children through the program.
It was a shame that you arrived late for your first class. It is difficult for a child (or even an adult) to walk into a new learning environment when the group is already in the middle of an activity. It is entirely expected that new students need time and space to explore the classroom surroundings in their first few lessons so that they can build familiarity with the learning space and develop confidence in the group setting. Our teachers recognise and allow for this within the structure of the classes. Had you stayed for longer than a few minutes of the lesson, your child would certainly have had the opportunity to play percussion instruments with the other children. Instrumental activities are a key feature of every one of our lessons.
Our teacher at Dingley is one of our most experienced and loved educators. As well as being training in Mini Maestros pedagogy and classroom methodology, she is a trained Suzuki teacher and has been teaching children’s individual and group lessons for many years. She is also a qualified speech pathologist with a particular interest in early intervention. She has a strong following and is the subject of many favourable reviews.
She did leave you a phone message to follow up and give some suggestions for how to help your child settle in his second and third trial lessons, but unfortunately she didn’t hear from you again. 🎶🐝💕 Mini Maestros

More than what you think
We are lucky enough to have JULIA as our teacher. She is clearly very passionate about what she does and understands how -this is not just about laying a foundation to appreciate music, she turns every moment into a learning opportunity about respect, kindness, responsibility, sharing and so much more. There are life lessons subtly sprinkled throughout the whole class.

Julia is AMAZING
Julia is AMAZING! We've had our little mr in her 2-3 year old class for the last 6 months, and the changes in his development and interest in music have been amazing. He started super shy in class, and progressed to playing with the other kids, and performing in the Christmas concert (where he wanted to perform more!).
Julia's been so patient and supportive with helping our little guy get involved without pushing him, and letting him get involved in his own time and space, which really helped him get comfortable and really learn to enjoy the experience.
I'd highly recommend Julia and Mini Maestros to anyone wanting to help give their kids a start in the wonderful world of music, and I'd also recommend sticking with it - our little guy was a little reserved in his first term, but really grew into the experience in the second.

Mini Maestros- Dingley Kid Factory
Julia runs a beautiful class for our little mini maestros. Seeing each child develop in their own time with the encouragement of the group is lovely. We've made some special friendships through the class with the kids bonded by their love of play and music. The Dingley Kid Factory is the perfect location as our kids play afterwards together and we enjoy brunch and lattes with the other parents and grand parents!

Julia makes every child, parent and attendee feel acknowledged, important and appreciated. B loves her weekly music class with Julia and when I tell her, "We have music class today", her eyes light up, she smiles widely and she stamps her feet with excitement. Despite her young age (she has just turned nine months old), B can now use tapping and shaking instruments correctly, clap her hands to music, question why music has stopped, and dance (read: thrash her arms about energetically) when she hears music she enjoys. I cherish being able to watch her develop an appreciation for music, and I credit Julia with making this happen. Thank you, Julia.

We recently stopped when I had another baby and it wasn’t until I saw my toddlers face when he saw Julia and couldn’t attend her class I realised how sad he was! We instantly stared back up and I’m so glad . Watching the kid’s engage with each other and Julia through music is just magic.

Burst of fun!
We love attending Mini Maestros. My daughter has been able to socialise with other babies and has come out of her shell. Watching her take it all in and participate has been such a blessing. Julia is absolutely amazing!

Julia is a champion!
I have been doing Maestro’s with the lovely Julia at Dingley since 2020. My son absolutely loves her and her engaging personality. Going to Maestro class was one of the highlights of his week. During the lockdown the Zoom sessions have been run really well and have kept the connection going. We put the class streamed up on our TV and he is very engaged if Julia is on the screen. Our 2 year old son has had very little social interaction during the lockdown and the Zoom sessions have been a great outlet for him. We love Mini Maestros.

Could not recommend more highly
Julia is a fantastic teacher and is excellent with the kids. My boys absolutely love their class. Kiki gives clear instructions, changes activities at a good pace so the kids don’t get bored and is really great at teaching other skills besides music and dancing. The kids learn discipline, taking turns and packing away which had really helped us at home too.
Highly recommend for any age!
We also love that we can hang around in the play centre afterwards. It makes for a fun day out for the kids and I get some peace while they play
