Review of Melody

I’ve recently used Melody to source music for a film project, and I was pleasantly surprised at how effective the platform was. The catalogue is genuinely cinematic, and the AI-driven search made finding the right tracks far more straightforward than I expected.

Because my process involved working out some structural ideas in GPT. It understood the subject matter, I could ask it to suggest reference tracks from well-known artists on Spotify. Then, using Melody’s feature that lets you paste in a Spotify link, I was able to search for music in a similar style and tone.

This approach worked incredibly well. If you can think of a song that captures the feeling you want, Melody does a brilliant job of providing tracks that sit closely in the same space. The matches were consistently strong, and the overall quality of the music I licensed was excellent.

Pricing was reasonable, the workflow was simple, and the results were exactly what I needed. Overall, I found Melody to be a very effective tool for finding cinematic, emotionally appropriate music quickly and reliably.

Extremely easy to set up the API, and very reasonable prices!

Music is pretty dated. Lack a modern feel. Early 2010 feel.
Ai search is fantastic but the results are just dated and feel out of touch with modern competitors.

Nice search engine and I like the artist and genre selection. Easy to use

Great selection of royalty free music that is updated frequency!

I have made a couple music videos using Melody and I like them very much. I’m gonna dig deeper and see what songs are really good for videos. I’m sticking with them.

super helpful, amazing at finding just the right non copyrighted music with a massive library of great songs.

My team have had nothing but positive experiences with Melodie. They’re super responsive, quick to support with any queries, and their music library is extensive at very reasonable costs. Can’t recommend them enough.

High quality production. Great selection and variety sonic styles...Easy to use and the stems are great!!

Great music, plenty of variety.
I purchased the Pro license and have been very happy with the quality and variety of tracks.

Melodie is a fresh take on production music with close to 200 composers and a lot of them Australian which is great for supporting local artist. The quality of music and composition is better than a lot of other production music libraries we've used in the past. AI is integrated into music search and the initial offer for early subscribers is GREAT value!

The music was awesome! The website was easy to use and I absolutely loved the feature where you can find songs that are similar to others. I emailed the Melodie team a question and they replied straight away. I highly recommend.

Excellent customer service, always picking out the perfect collection of songs for each project!

Pretty good catalog for the price that you pay… Nice to know that it's monetizablel and legal everywhere.

Would be great to have a wav file instead of mp3 for the deal.

Lots of tracks to chose from, user-friendly site and fantastic customer support!

We switched to Melodie as our music provider two years ago and haven’t looked back. The catalogue offers a diverse range of genres, with original compositions and authentic instrumentation that consistently elevate our content. The quality and creativity of the music make it a standout library—and a reliable go-to for our production needs. The UX is easy to navigate but real people are quick to respond if you need support. On top of that, Melodie offers competitive pricing, which keeps the bean-counters happy.

Not long ago, Melodie was running a promotion for a lifetime subscription to their music. You could buy in at a basic level or you could buy a "Pro" subscription for more money.

I misunderstood the ad and thought that some of the features I wanted were included in the basic version so I subscribed. It took only a few minute to realize my mistake, but by then I had learned that this seemingly new music site had some really good and unique music to offer.

I contacted the company and explained my mistake and requested that they let me upgrade to the "Pro" subscription instead, and they responded almost immediately.

Since then, I use Melodie pretty much exclusively when I need music for any of my content. I really enjoy the ability to download a song in its entirety, but I also appreciate that often I can get various parts (drums, bass, no vocals, etc) separately, and sometimes I can also get different loops, like one minute, thirty second, etc.

Earlier today, I used the AI search to look for music, but instead of using what you might expect for keywords, I asked for music to go with a pair of happy ducks, sitting in the shade, watching a Monorail at Walt Disney World.

The search engine offered several songs and many of them were appropriate for what I was looking for.

I don't pretend to know all the ins and outs of using this music site, but so far I've really been able to make good use of their content. And since I've started my subscription, it's been my first stop in looking for Music, and I've not been disappointed. Not once.

A couple of months ago, I signed up with Melodie Music because I'm a radio host and podcast producer and I needed a library that was relatively inexpensive. I came across their ad in Facebook, with their offer of a discount for signing up to a lifetime access to their extensive music beds, themes and tracks. I was just getting into the weeds of finding stuff because they have quite a catalogue to offer, and frankly, that can be a bit of a problem, because there is so much to wade through. But there is one feature that has blown me away. I just tried Melodie's uploading feature where you can upload a piece of music to find something similar. So, this is now my new favourite feature! This is a godsend! This is the feature that Melodie should be plugging more as anyone who is on a budget and is concerned about cost (as economical as their service is) this is without a doubt the feature that will draw the fence sitters to Melodie's side!
