Bad quality for tutoring for 3500£
I had a very negative experience with Medic Mentor and I do not believe their programmes are worth the money. The fees are extremely high, yet the quality of teaching is poor and far below what you would expect for the price. Much of the tutoring is delivered by first‑ or second‑year medical students, which makes the sessions feel basic and not particularly professional. Families could easily find similar support privately for a fraction of the cost.
From the start, the organisation seemed more focused on selling expensive packages than genuinely supporting students. The teaching lacked depth, the delivery was inconsistent, and there was little evidence of the “expert guidance” they advertise. Once you pay, the support quickly drops off, and communication is very difficult — emails and contact is very difficult — emails and contact forms often go unanswered forms often go unanswered.

If you are a legitimate student, we are sorry to hear of your experience and we would love to help you. We teach around 50,000 students a year across pathways that range from free, £99, £249 etc so that students can choose for themselves which level and type of support they want to access. Our goal is to provide students with a variety of support and resources, and we respect that students and parents are capable of deciding which pathway suits them most before they register.
We do not provide one mentor to a student because we have found this approach is not effective for university applications. Experienced doctors who are better at teaching, personal statements etc are not going to be the best mentors for UCAT (just as an example) because they have not sat the UCAT for many years. Successful 1st year and 2nd year medical students who have ranked in the top percentiles are much better for UCAT tutoring because they are most familiar with the latest format and techniques for scoring well. Our approach is to provide students with the best mentor for the aspect of the application that they need help with at the time. This means that you benefit from a variety of experienced mentors - not just 1. In this way, we work as a multidisciplinary team - similar to how patients are treated holistically in the NHS. With over 93% of students getting medical school offers in our most recent cohort - this approach works for the majority of our students. However, you might be different and if you let us know how we can help you, we will do our best.
We are not confident that you are a legitimate customer, especially as we have received a sustained 1 star rating attack from multiple posts on the same day, from accounts that have been created purposefully to disguise the fact that it is coming from the same individual. Some of these posts have been taken down by Trustpilot's flagging service already.

Scam Mentor!
Honesty and trustworthiness are the cornerstones of every medical profession: NOT THE CASE AT MEDIC MENTOR!!
I booked a place for my son at a Medic Mentor then cancelled within their 14 day cooling off period which guaranteed a full refund. This was 36 days ago and I am yet to receive any contact from the accounts department or from senior management regarding my formal complaint. I have contacted the admin team at regular intervals and been fobbed off on every occasion.
Very poor, unprofessional behaviour which has caused a great deal of stress to both my son and me.
Once you pay the money, they don’t care what you complain you won’t get your money back.
They summer camp is a scam! You can hire a tutor for 2 hours and get all that done in 2 hours.
It’s not needed at all!

Unfortunately, after looking extensively into this query, we have determined that this is not a legitimate review, but part of a sustained 1 star attack from the same individual because several 1 Star reviews were posted on the same day within minutes of each other, from different accounts and trying to complain as if they are from different customers. We rarely get even 1, 1star review, so to receive several on the same day is highly unlikely. Trustpilot themselves have also flagged and removed some of these already. We suspect that it is likely coming from a competitor. We have gone through all of our refunds, and they a completely up to date - so this is simply untrue. If you are in fact a genuine customer, please post with an actual name, order number or at least some information so that we can try to resolve your 'refund' for you.
You can contact us on our landline number 01530 417 299 Mon- Fri 10am-5pm, or via our contact form (our admin SAS team reply to hundreds of these every day Mon-Fri) or if you are in fact a student then you should also be aware that you can contact mentors directly by posting on your app FAQ channel. Medic Mentor Mentorverse is NOT a scam - it is a real organisation and we provide legitimate support from REAL doctors and medical students.
In fact Mentorverse is a General Medical Council Designated Body which means that we have been granted additional responsibility and duties from the GMC to conduct appraisals and revalidation for the doctors mentoring for us and to maintain high standards of professionalism. Here are the links to the other 1 star reviews, all posted on the same day, minutes apart, from 'different' people in an attempt to mislead our students and parents:

Trap!
Trap!! Very expensive which isnt worth..
We attended one of their conferences a few weeks ago. The event felt like a hard sell, pushing the idea that these expensive courses were essential. Don't fall to their trap.
I have booked it and since then, every attempt to contact Medic Mentor has been ignored—emails, contact forms, and messages across multiple platforms over several months. Only after posting this review did I receive any acknowledgment.
In my view, this company operates with questionable practices. The administration status, ignored communications, and aggressive selling tactics all point to a scam. I strongly advise others not to waste their time or money.

Hi Elise, We have looked through all of the phone messages and contact forms and cannot find any queries from you. Some of these posts have been taken down by Trustpilot's flagging service already. This particular post landed at 5:20pm UKGMT 2 days ago stating that 'Only after posting this review did I receive any acknowledgment.' but we have not replied to you (1. because it is after hours when this post went up and 2. because we cannot find a contact form or message from you to reply to or 'acknowledge'). It would appear that there is a deliberate attempt to mislead our customers.
However, if you are a student who is genuinely struggling, please reach out to us so that we can help you. Disappointing Experience - Avoid!
Despite heavy marketing about comprehensive support, my actual experience exposed serious gaps between what’s promised and what’s provided.
The platform operates on a many-to-many model where you’re assigned to numerous different tutors rather than building a relationship with a dedicated instructor. This approach has several critical flaws:
Lack of Continuity: Without a consistent tutor, there’s no opportunity to develop the student-teacher rapport that’s essential for effective learning. No one on the team truly understands your individual needs, learning style, or goals.
Slow Response Times: Getting timely help proved frustratingly difficult, which undermines the entire purpose of having tutoring support.
Generic Support: The tutors aren’t specialized for your specific university or program, meaning you miss out on targeted, relevant guidance when you need it most.
Poor Value: The price point doesn’t match the quality of service delivered. A traditional 1:1 tutoring arrangement, where you work consistently with one knowledgeable person who understands your needs, would be far more beneficial for the same or less money.
My Recommendation: Look elsewhere for tutoring support. The scattered, impersonal approach here simply doesn’t justify the cost.
Avoid at any cost!

Our approach is to provide students with the best mentor for the aspect of the application that they need help with at the time. This means that you benefit from a variety of experienced mentors - not just 1. In this way, we work as a multidisciplinary team - similar to how patients are treated holistically in the NHS. With over 93% of students getting medical school offers in our most recent cohort - this approach works for the majority of our students. However, you might be different and if you let us know how we can help you, we will do our best. If you have managed to reach the stage of getting an interview through our programme - congratulations! That must mean that the personal statement tutoring and UCAT tutoring programme worked to help you reach the interview stage! Of course, it is also down to your own hard work. If you are a genuine student on our programme you will know that we provide 1-2-1 virtual interview tutoring before each of your universities. This is personalised, and we do not limit the number of 1-2-1 sessions that you have access to as long as you book them one at a time (e.g. book one, have the session, then book another etc.) this is to prevent students booking 10 appointments in a panic and then from our experience (have run these programmes for over a decade) most of them don't show up so our mentors are left waiting for students - which we are sure you can agree with - is not an effective process for mentors or students. You can always contact us Mon- Fr 10am-5pm on the landline number 01530 417299 if you are getting stuck. You can also send us a contact form (our students know that they should not be emailing) and our admin team reply to contact forms Mon-Fri (roughly 300 contact forms enquiries a day). If you are a genuine student, you will also know that you can contact mentors directly through your circle app on the Class of 2025 FAQ channel, which is the fastest way to get your questions answered. If you are experiencing any technical issues, we are happy to explain and guide you. If you really do need help, please reach out and we will support you. Having looked through all of the Circle messages, phone messages and contact forms - we cannot see any queries related to your post from an 'Ahmed' that have come through, despite having several students called Ahmed on our programmes. If you don't let us know that you are struggling, then we don't know that you need help and it limits our capacity to provide assistance. We want to help, so please reach out and we can resolve your concerns, together.

Can be slightly misleading unfortunately.
Brilliant initial eye-opener for aspiring medics. Very informative and debunks many common myths. However the schemes are very expensive so not accessible to majority unfortunately.

Thank you for taking the time to post a review - this is very important for our students and parents to help them make an informed decision. We are delighted that you have found the resources that you have accessed so far helpful. You might be interested in learn that we have a range of programmes, designed to support a variety of students (not just expensive ones) from free, £99, £249 etc so that there is plenty of choice - most of our students (around 50,000) that access programmes and pathways through us every year - use free services such as conferences, webinars and we offer a HUGE number of free places for students who are from WAMS backgrounds every year. More than any charity, university or even government funded WAMS programmes for aspiring medics and dentists. For example the Get into Medicine Conference teaching over 10,000 students for free each year, and the work experience programme even more for free! We gave away 200 free UCAT question banks with UCAT teaching for free last year and this year planning to do even more. Thank you for sharing your experience with us.

Excellent experience - definitely recommend
I recently attended the Get Into Medicine Conference and had a fantastic experience. The event was really informative and really helped me understand what the medical application process involves. The speakers including the students were very engaging and clearly passionate about helping other students succeed.
I especially appreciated how organised the day was and how we were given many practical tips about work experience, personal statements and even interviews. The team were friendly and always willing to answer questions. Overall, it was definitely worth attending!
