I had 3 tires mounted and balanced for…

I had 3 tires mounted and balanced for my1987 Corvette. Having applied online and approved for a Mavis credit card. I had not yet receive the card. But was told it could be accessed with my phone number and used for this serviced. My situation is temporarily tight. When Ely, the manager tried to access it he was unable to do so. With out hesitation or saying anything, he cashed out my service ticket at no charge. I was surprised. I offered another card. He said no I was covered. The service guy that changed my tires was extremely diligent and courteous. I'm a retire auto tech. I do most of my own service work. I do go to Mavis first for tires and inspection. Apparently, my limited loyalty was recognized. I appreciate the service extended and will continue to use and recommend Mavis. Thanks, Lawrence J Holzapfel Sr.

When for alignment and balancing got…

When for alignment and balancing got there by 9 after 5.1/2 they finally finished with it charging me $182 the iligment was working worse than I was and the balance wasn’t even done long history short I have to get back to back 3 times and the car still not alignment and is it 2023 Highlander, PLS do you a favor do not go to this places specifically on Middletown ny

In and out!

Don’t go to this location!

I had used this location for many years and never had any issues.if I had an appointment, my car was taken in promptly and serviced and I was out of there usually in half an hour. If I “drive in” without an appointment, no problem - I Was usually out within an hour. This last time I went though, on Feb 2, 2022, I had an appointment at 9am. My car was sitting there until 9:25. Mechanics inside the garage were standing around making jokes.
As time was passing and I realized I wouldn’t be able to pick up my mother from her doctor’s appointment at 9:45, I mentioned how it’s the longest I’ve ever had to wait for an oil change when I had an actual appointment. The guy at the desk got very defensive and had a lot of attitude. It was quite childish. The manager came over, mentioned how, when you go to the doctor you have to wait…blah blah blah No said that was all well and good. All I said was I never had to wait an hour for an oil change with an actual appointment at that location before. It’s a fact.
I don’t know why they changed managers, but the new situation has lost me as a customer forever. I will go to the one on Dolson.
Also, I asked if it was the same oil used as always for my car, yet the price was $20 more.

The service at mavis on 211 at…

The service at mavis on 211 at Middletown ny was excellent Ray and the team are great people to discuss your issues and the customer service they show patients and understanding and the time they place into what you say is fantastic. I can’t wait to bring my car back because I know the service will be excellent..

MAVIS SHOULD HAVE TO REFUND MY MONEY

If there was a zero that’s what I would give Mavis in Middletown ny both 211 & Dolson Ave . We took our car to Mavis on Dolson Ave first for a minor oil leak where we we’re told that we had to replace something & that they could have the part the next day so we set a time to bring our car back the next day which in fact was the worse decision we could have ever made because the day after they supposedly fixed what was leaking they cracked our head gasket cover and never said anything the next day we seen a puddle of oil under our car. We then called several times and were told that they didn’t have a mechanic in which went on for about 5 days we finally just bring the car there to be told that the mechanic wasn’t in and wouldn’t be there for awhile . Liars are what they are because as we go back out to our car the same MECHANIC THAT WORKED ON OUR CAR WAS IN THE BAY WORKING ON A CAR. I then went back inside and asked for corporates number and was told that they could not give it to me that I was more then welcomed to use google to find it out which is what I actually had to do. I finally get ahold of someone there explained everything to a lady who then told me that a regional manager would be contacting me soon mind you I live 45 minutes from Middletown. That same day my car started smoking and making all kinds of noises needless to say our car windup parked on the side of the road and we had to find a ride home . The next day we get a call asking if we can get our car to their 211 location where our car spent hours at had to keep calling to find out what’s going on to only find out that the Dolson Ave location cracked our head gasket cover and that they were only able to rig it until they got the part in which took about a month which they never even called me and told me that it had came in we had to call them which is very unprofessional. So we set a time to bring our car back in and said while our car is there we would like 4 new tires put on also that was almost $500 . Then a few weeks later we got our brakes and rotors done which we’re almost another $500 to have them on there for a few weeks before we start hearing a grinding noise and it started getting really loud so we brought our car there because we couldn’t get a hold of the manager (apparently he was never there or had just left) so when we got there we had talked to the assistant manager who wasn’t nice at all who then said to me that they wouldn’t be able to pull my car in for about a hour but then as I was walking out the door to inform my husband about what he said I then hear him tell another guy her husband is here with her mind you my mom heard everything he said not even 5 minutes went by and he came out and got my car then about 20 minutes after that he says to us that our calibers were know good that they were locked up and that it caused our brand new brakes and rotors to be no good . So I asked them how come they didn’t say anything to us about the calibers needing to be replaced when you guys told us that our brakes and rotors needed to be replaced and this guy’s response was he didn’t have to tell us that day because that’s not exactly his job and then told us he would warranty the brakes and rotors but we would have to pay almost $400 to have the calibers replaced plus labor fees . We told him this is ridiculous and then they brought our car out maybe 10 minutes or so later. Then not even 12 minutes after leaving there our car starts smoking and rattling on the highway pulled over to the side of the road lift the hood only to see the same exact piece they quote on quote fixed had blew and we had to have our car towed home which cost us $140 . We called back to that store and asked to speak to Chris who was the manager and was told he was gone already smh . I then contacted corporate and they told me that the regional manager would reach out to me. When he did I told him what happen he then told me I would have to pay to have my car towed to one of their locations so we told him no Mavis should have to pay for it then he said I will see what I can do. In the meantime we had to different mechanics come look at our car and both of them said the same thing at separate times. They both told us that our engine seized and the asked us if we had any work done to the head gasket cover and we said yes and he then told us whoever did the work did not do it correctly. So when the regional manager called us back he was very nasty and continued to tell us that Mavis is not responsible for our car and that there was nothing they could do for us. This was in the beginning of October. We spent over $1000 at Mavis paying for the head gasket cover,Brakes,rotors &4 new tires plus the $140 to have our car towed home to not having our car running because of their mess ups and they are telling us they are not responsible for our car . ALL THAT MONEY GONE AND WE ARE STILL WITHOUT A CAR HAD TO SEND IT TO THE JUNKYARD.10 ppl working that day & 7 of them we’re deff under the influence.

Middletown Mavis (rt. 211)- A Clown Show!

DO NOT USE THIS MAVIS! Unless you want to be extremely frustrated! I took my truck to the Mavis Middletown NY - 560 Route 211 East on 10/5/21 to get new brakes, rotors, an oil change, and an inspection. This garage wast a sh!t show. It was chaotic and disorganized. I was there for 5.5 hours and they did not finish the replacement of the brake shoes or the inspection. During the time I was waiting a car rolled out of the repair garage and hit another car parked in the lot! Yes, you heard that right… A CAR ROLLED OUT OF THE GARAGE AND HIT A CAR IN THE PARKING LOT!. Back to me.. They told me the brake shoes needed to be ordered from the dealer and were unable to be delivered until the next day. I made an appointment to get them installed after work that week. I showed up for my appointment but they did not honor the appointment time and I waited for 2 HOURS! My car didn’t even make it into the garage. I asked for a refund and the manager, Chris, took my card, phone number, and email and told me it would be processed the next day when their corporate office re-opens. I asked him for a printout, but he said there is no printout, i’ll get it in my email. I did not get an email. I called several times over the next two weeks and was told Chris would call me back, but he never did. When I called this morning I was told Chris was on vacation until next week, and nobody in the shop could process the refund but him. I then called and emailed the corporate office. They told me the regional manager would get back to me. I then got a call from the same guy I spoke with earlier who said he could not process my refund. Amazingly he was now able to process my refund… BUT I was told by Chris my refund was $190 and this guy said it was $80. We went through what I should be refunded and he then said it was $120 and they would not refund the inspection (which didn’t occur because they needed to install the brake shoes before the inspection). The moral of the story is this…. This garage is a joke. It is unsafe (cars are just rolling out of the garage), they are unresponsive to calls, they will lie to you over the cost of repairs, they will steal your money after they do not do their job, and you will wait for many hours for repairs. In total this has cost me 9 hours, I have to drive back there to get a refund, and the refund is going to be $70 less than what I was told. DO NOT GO HERE! Find a place with honest people who run a safe repair shop.
