You deserve a Zero Star. Staff are rude. Customer service is none existent. I have called in 7 times foe the same issue with 0 help. Laura should be fired as she doesn't return customer calls. You shipped me a knit pattern instead of crochet I offered a swap of pattern. you declined and wanted to charge me 15 dollars in total shipping for a piece of paper. I said fine I'll return it just to re order the right pattern. ridiculous but it would have solved the issue. once again no customer service rep has helped me return this after 4 weeks of calling. Your business is trash. I can only kmagine all the seniors to take advantage of.

I ordered 4 jigsaw puzzles from them. Spent over a month working on the first puzzle, a beautiful image of 2 wolves in the moonlight. Very challenging. Towards the end we started to suspect there were some missing pieces. (Which obviously contributed to it being so difficult and frustrating). Turns out there were more than 30 pieces missing! I asked for a refund and was told the only option was for them to send a replacement puzzle, but the same one! I said that after spending weeks on this difficult puzzle we do not want to do it all over again from the beginning! I said I would accept a replacement puzzle if it was a different one but they just repeated again that their "only option" was to send another copy of the same puzzle. They literally don't care about their customers. Money is the bottom line for them I guess. I will NOT be ordering from them again!

I would give a review of zero if I could. Poor customer service. Poor website. Ordered a full/queen quilt. Twin came instead. Glitch in their website because I reviewed the order. Been a customer for approximately 50 years. They would not cover return shipping. The Mary Maxim employee was unkind on the phone. You would think I was asking her to cover the shipping out of her own pocket. Like a local talk show host used to say “If you ain’t shipping for free, you ain’t shipping to me!” So long Mary Maxim. You just lost a loyal customer for your lack of customer service and empathy.

Mary Maxim has migrated to the Shopify platform but has apparently done little-to-no testing of it. My orders disappeared as did my gift card information. It took three emails and two phone calls to get my account sorted. No apology was offered. A very odd way to run a business, but I suppose when you are almost a monopoly in the Canadian yarn business, you can get away with it. Customers appear to be of secondary importance.

The worst customer service ever!!!! It was taking them a long time to send my yarn. I decided to cancel my order and get a refund. They refunded the full amount and then took it back the next day! They refuse to talk to me, they haven't canceled my order or refunded me nor have they shipped my items. DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY! You will be out your money if you do.

I have ordered hundreds (maybe thousands) of dollars of yarn and afghan kits from Mary Maxim over the years. Whenever I’ve had to communicate with them about an order via email or over the phone I have NEVER been treated so coldly and so badly (by any other business).
Perhaps you have to be a rude, angry, hostile person in order to get hired there….!?

Apparently “goodwill“ and customer “SERVICE” is not part of their vocabulary. Even when the mistake was THEIR fault they treat you like you’re an imbecile and clueless. Unbelievable! I cannot believe they can still be in business when they do all they can to rip off the very people who keep their business afloat.

Just DON’T shop there. Awful and Disgusting!

beware prices. they mark prices Up to list at a sale price. Canon simply soft usually sells on their site $4.29. they marked it up to $5.99 for a Sale price of $4.49.

I'm given the same response that "it's in the warehouse getting ready to be shipping", everytime I contact them.
If I could, I wouldn't give even a one star!!!

My mother ordered a folding exercise bike, home track may 25 2021. Price $59.99 S/H $17.90, poor quality product, paid an additional $26.00S/H, product returned in July as of Nov 1 still no refund issued to credit card. Never again.

I ordered yarn. The yarn was not what I wanted, so I sent it back. The order came to $76.33, the amount I was refunded was 52.89. I spent all that money and this is what I get back?? I realize I have to pay for shipping, 2lbs for 16.00 that is a lot. This is the worse company I have done business with and the last time I will order from them.

I ordered 2 sweater knitting packages and also the needles I would need. I made sure I ordered what was in stock. Got an email saying some yarn was back ordered, and nothing would be shipped until it was in. I emailed asking them to send what was ready. They got “special permission” to send it. Everything was there except 1 pair of knitting needles, that was 2 months ago. Emailed again and they said that item is back ordered and they’re expecting it by the end of the month.
Was happy with the patterns and yarn, but not with the service.

I was attracted to the diamond dotz sale.Then...I was not going to order at all because their shipping rates were unreasonable. Until I found a coupon code for free shipping and it worked. (unusual)
At that sale, an item I wanted was "out of stock". ok.
I found exactly the same, in stock elsewhere, at ONE THIRD of MM's sale price, or ONE FOURTH of their regular price. Even better. The day after the sale was over, it was magically back in stock and back at the regular price, which was 10 dollars more. Suspicious.
Having had these observations, I felt compelled to share, and say a hearty BUYER BEWARE!

I have shopped at Mary Maxim for over 40 yrs. and covid brought me back to knitting. I ordered one of the Afgan bundles which included the pattern and yarn. The pattern was incorrect which I have NEVER experienced before and now the yarn gets thin for about a row and a half, back to normal thickness and then thins out again. The afgan is totally messed up now with the inferior yarn supplied. Very disappointed in this company now.

Don't order any bras from them. None of them are comfortable. They boast you can sleep in them; you cannot. The bands and straps are scratchy. There is 0 support in any of them, even the ones that say there is. Also the sizing is way off. My chest measures 32" and I had to keep ordering until I got a 40" sized one to fit. There are also no returns on them.

Never ever again will I order from this company. Used to order from them years ago and they were wonderful...I ordered items 2 weeks ago..When I ordered both items were in stock, the website said items ship in 2-3 days.
A week later no parcel, I had paid Xpress post shipping...So I emailed them...got a response saying ...oh the items weren't in stock...but they were mailed today....well another week and still no parcel...So I phoned Marymaxim....They argued with me that I had been informed the items were in stock- which they were not....I asked for a refund on my extra postage after speaking with the post office. Canada post informed me Xpress post across country should be 3 days max.
I will not deal with this company again...Should have looked at reviews before I ever ordered

Extremely slow at shipping. It's been 4 months and I only have 1/2 my order. I ordered similar items from China and they arrived in 4 weeks.
