Marvellous Escapes; marvellous experience
The whole trip was a fabulous experience. The planning that went into arranging this adventure was first class - all timings and connections worked to perfection and everything we were told came to fruition. Top marks to Hailey and the rest of the team for all the work that goes into this planning. I would definitely use this company again and thoroughly recommend anybody else to do so too.

Fabulous trip to Sweden and Norway
Just back from a fabulous holiday in Sweden and Norway organised by Marvellous Escapes. They matched my dream holiday and budget and the whole thing ran like a dream, except when our flight from Stockholm to Oslo was cancelled (should have taken the replacement bus after all!!). Marvellous Escapes were on the end of the phone and Whatapps to reassure us that we were booked on the next flight, so our Norway in a Nutshell tour was not impacted. A wonderful and scenic appetiser for future holidays. Excellent service thank you Marvellous Escapes!

So far so good, Laurie has been my organiser and she has been excellent, I gave her my locations and a budget to work with, and she has organised everything from hotels, train journeys, island trips , etc etc

Our Swiss Rail Tour
We had already decided on the places we wanted to visit throughout Switzerland, including travelling on the Glacier Express, GoldenPass, Junfraujoch & Gornegrat railways. We contacted Marvellous Escapes and spoke with Hayley for advice, a workable itinerary and an indication of price.
There were no high-pressure sales tactics at all, Hayley had listened to everything we wanted and put together a fantastic itinerary that included all of our ideas while staying within our budget.
Before we travelled, we received a comprehensive folder containing all our travel documents - flights, train journeys, day trips, panoramic train reservations, cogwheel railways, funiculars & cable cars. Hayley also advised us on how to get the maximum value from our Swiss Travel Pass and pre-booked most of the excursions. Having everything clearly laid out in printed form meant we could simply follow the instructions each day without having to work anything out ourselves.
We have just returned from our incredible 17-night Swiss adventure, staying in six different locations, all seamlessly connected by train with activities planned every day.
Everything ran perfectly - you could say it was as reliable as Swiss clockwork!
We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Marvellous Escapes to anyone. In fact, Hayley is already helping us plan our next adventure!

Exceptional Standards of Service
I rarely write reviews but wrote one at booking stage as it had been a seamless experience and I hoped the trip itself would be as good. We are now back and I can say with certainty our expectations were exceeded! The organisation and in trip support were exceptional! We needed to move 2 of our transfer times during the trip. I contacted Marvelous Escapes on the WhatsApp channel provided, had a response within 2mins and within 5mins everything was rearranged. Nothing is too much trouble and everything is organised with professionalism and feels very personal. They are 100% vested in making sure their customers get what they are expecting and more. Laurie organised our trip for us, gave us so many recommendations and really went above and beyond. Paul answered our queries on the WhatsApp during our trip so definitely a big shout out to both of them personally. We will most certainly be using their services again in the future.

Good experience
This is our first time using a travel agent and the first time we have gone to the continent by train rather than flying. We hoped Marvellous Escapes would sort it all out - and they have! Olivia was very helpful and nothing appeared to be too much trouble in making any adjustments we requested to a proposed itinerary. It is helpful though to have a fairly clear idea of what you want as once started the process runs quickly in order to secure your desired bookings. Hopefully the holiday will run as smoothly as the booking process.

After making an initial enquiry, Christian called to discuss our trip. He created a busy, personalised itinerary from our requirements and his suggestions and recommendations. We received step by step instructions to help the trip go as smoothly as possible.
We received physical document as well as digital for travel, hotels and tours. Christian called a few days before travel and was able to answer a couple of queries we had.
