Simply marvellous!
My holiday was an “bucket list” adventure - to travel to and around Switzerland by train including the Glacer and Bernina Express. Every aspect of my dealings with Marvellous Escapes was perfect from the initial chats around ideas and planning with Laurie, to the booking, payment, tickets and of course the final main event. I’d go nowhere else now to plan a holiday.
Once booked I was kept informed throughout, I received a lovely folder with everything I needed - information contacts tickets etc. then I received a digital version of the same. And all the while we were away there was a 24 hour What’s App contact there if we needed it. I used it once whilst away and hit a response within 10 minutes. I really couldn’t suggest anything to improve upon.

Fantastic trip to Norway!
Just returned from a fantastic trip … ‘Norway in a Nutshell Extended’ organised by Marvellous Escapes. Great recommendations and a superb service from Laurie and her colleagues. We had a fabulous time, with a great itinerary and wonderful hotels. The trip was very well organised, and hassle free! Well worth using Marvellous Escapes for their expert local knowledge and advice, rather than trying to muddle through to book everything separately without having the peace of mind they can offer!

Italian rail lake journey …
We recently went on a marvellous escapes Italian Lakes rail trip and enjoyed the trip immensely- excellent itineraries and easy to follow documentation. From the actual booking to the start of our holiday, all was well planned out for us-
The arranging of train bookings and hotels took the stress away for a great relaxing holiday.
Hotels were great with good breakfast options and friendly helpful staff.

First rate experience
Just returned from our 2nd european rail journey organised by Marvellous Escapes and everything was fantastic. We discussed when and where we wanted to go and everything, (trains, hotels, transfers restaurant recommendations) was then organised by them. Both booking experience and the package they put together were absolutely first rate. They were also very flexible when we wanted to change departure date and location for one of the trips. What I really found reassuring was having a WhattApp contact so if anything went wrong we could contact them. We had an issue with our train being cancelled due to an avalanche on the first trip and they immediately set about advising us where to go, they changed our hotel booking (at no extra cost) as we couldn't get to planned hotel that night. My view of travel companies is you only realise how good they are when things start to go wrong and they absolutely delivered. We have another tripped booked in May and planning one with them for early October, hopefully these trips will be as good as the ones we have done.

Trip of a lifetime! (Until next time)
Thank you Laurie for an incredible holiday in its truest sense. A perfect balance between being orchestrated and travelling independently. The itinerary was custom made and with such care and understanding of who we are and what we wanted. From Glacier to Bernina to Orient Express- a trip of a lifetime (although now we have a taste for it maybe not). Would not hesitate to recommend the company and staff.

A great experience
Hayley was extremely attentive to our needs and created an itinerary which was perfect for us. We were disappointed as our Glacier Express was cancelled because of technical problems, but this was beyond the control of any tour operator. Marvellous escape was prompt in contacting us about the cancellation and assured us of the refund for cancelled trip's reservations.
We will go back again to Marvellous Escapes for our Glacier Express trip next year.

Laurie was very helpful
Laurie was very helpful. She listened to the sort of things we liked and tailored our holiday to fit in with that unlike most people who fit you into their agenda regardless of what you want. I was also impressed that she came in under budget rather than taking it over the top.

Wonderful Marvellous Escapes
We have just returned from our holiday and wow what an amazing experience with Marvellous Escapes. We couldn’t recommend them highly enough. This has been without a doubt the best holiday experience that we have ever had. Laurie has been amazing and everything was meticulously planned and organised for us.If we wanted to change anything nothing was ever a problem to her. She is fantastic. We did have a problem in Paris as the hotel was poor. However my husband rang Paul and both Paul and Laurie booked us into a better hotel within no time and they even paid for the new hotel room which is just brilliant. Thank you so much Laurie, Paul and everyone at Marvellous Escapes for making our holiday extra special you are all amazing.
