Really impressed with the prices offered and the service provided by Market Cross Jewellers.

Spoke to a very helpful chap on the phone about our purchase, placed the order and it arrived in 48 hours - well packed and in perfect condition.

Not quite 4* but more than a 3* service in all honesty, I d say 3.5 if that was possible.

Firstly price was very good for Tissot Prx white dial 40mm. Paid £224 which is a great price from an authorised dealer, the best I could find from an FD! The delivery was incredibly quick too. So that’s very impressive.

The watch itself however has small light scratches over a couple of the bracelet links (one of the links I was able to remove, the other is non-removable link) and was missing the protection plastic sticker wrap over the dial. However there is no damage at all on the dial, it’s in fantastic condition so perhaps that’s just me being fussy.

Back of the case and butterfly clasp had the protection plastic sticker/wrap like new watches from Tissot do. I immediately checked the watch with Tissot as I was concerned at authenticity with the missing plastic stickers/wrap but they put my mind at ease confirming the watch was genuine. Leading me to assume this watch was most likely a display model or customer return and that wasn’t advertised on their website, if I’d known I’d have rather paid more for a different unit. That being said I can’t see any other white 40s available either with them at the moment so that again makes me think it was a return or display unit.

Had I paid full price I’d have been more upset but as the watch was discounted to the best price I’ve seen for the white quartz 40mm I wouldn’t consider returning it myself.

Due to the light scratches, which are small and hard to see unless you are really looking for them, I can’t rate any higher which is a shame because the price was incredible from an AD for a Tissot Prx 40mm.

Market Cross Jewellers are excellent and I just cannot recommend them highly enough.
I purchased a Gucci ring on Saturday and it arrived on Monday morning, having been posted almost immediately via Royal Mail 24 Tracked service.

Free guaranteed next day delivery by Royal mail, signed and delivered in a good condition. After ordering some items online I received an email to let me know one of them was unavailable. They had checked with other stores and although it wasn’t available they offered a replacement or refund and I was very happy with the communication from them. Today I visited several jewellery stores in the Metrocentre Gateshead to browse for rings containing rubies as it is my Ruby Wedding Anniversary soon. I started at Market Cross Jewellers near M&S and spoke to a lovely member of staff called Susan who showed me some rings and let me take photos to show my husband. Having been to several other jewellery stores in the centre and having spoken to my husband I later returned to Market Cross Jewellers to order a ring I particularly liked. I spoke with Susan again and also Kim (who was not there earlier) both of whom appreciated my business. It was explained to me that as my size was not in stock that it would take about 4 weeks to arrive. Susan phoned me later to tell me that I could have one sized or wait a little longer for one to be made from scratch. I chose the latter. This store has lovely staff and jewellery at what in my opinion is affordable prices. I would certainly recommend this branch if you are looking for something special.

I started my journey by browsing rings online, and I must say, the website was incredibly user-friendly and well-designed. This positive initial experience encouraged me to visit the Teesside Park store, and I'm so glad I did!

From the moment I walked in, all the staff were incredibly helpful and welcoming. Their assistance made the whole process enjoyable and easy. I'd like to give a special shout-out to Kirstie, who was particularly helpful and went above and beyond.

Bought a pre owned Breitling Avenger, Everyhthing was explained over the phone by Adam and then Alison. Very happy with the purchase. Was told the watch was in excellent condition and it was. Only issue was the clasp has a small crease…..

Terrible service - Teesside park. Ordered an engagement and wedding ring. I was told 4-6 weeks. I rang to check up on my order to be told that they have just sent the order to the owner as they do it on set days. They said the owner emailed a couple of days ago to say it will be 8 weeks. I had to ring to find this out and this would take us past our wedding day.

I then asked for a refund to be told they dont so refunds. They spoke to the owner and said they have one at hartlepool and can deliver but needs resized. I said no, I want a refund. Owner agreed to it so I wen to the store.

Rude staff then told me they sent staff to Hartlepool to collect the ring despite me say wait and ill confirm or ask for refund. I didnt confirm yet they still sent someone to collect something we didnt want and then made it out that it was my fault.

Then the refund. Rather than refund me, they charged me again then had to refund me to cover the initial cost and the mistake charge. Then an empty apology.

I contacted the owner to complain and Roy Welsh ignore my email and direct message.

Utterly shocking, terrible service. I will never buy anything from them again.

Edit-I have since been contacted by the store who have appologised and addressed the issues raised. They also offered a good will which I have asked them to pay it forward to the next customer to make their day.

I want to thank MCJ for such a quick delivery....I ordered on the 13th May and it arrived the 14th...not only that the nomination charm i ordered was £20 cheaper than elsewhere...I will definitely be using them again.....well done...MCJ...👏👏

Just a little note of appreciation, the girls in the Hillstreet branch (near Greggs) are the most welcoming and helpful group ever. Adam went above and in sorting out my watch

i paid a £40 non refundable deposit for a vintage watch to be repaired- which i could offset once i was told what was wrong with it and proceed with repair
i have been informed they are unable to repair the watch as its vintage and they can't get the parts - it seems i have paid £40 for that advice. i was offered for them to send the watch to switzerland and they would use the £40 for that - but it's over 3 months to get the watch back- it's a repair for my son's birthday so the timing and probably costs don't work
i think it is disgraceful customer service to charge me £40 to say they can't fix the watch - because i was told it is non refundable they think it's acceptable to keep my money

Incredible customer service. I was dealt with by both Meg and Adam after being informed of a delay in availability with an item I purchased. They both simply went out their way to keep me satisfied with incredible levels of personable service. Nothing was too much in making me feel valued. Not experienced a retailer who cared so much to ensure I was satisfied. Communication unrivalled also.

I orderd my item for collection to the wrong store which meant it would arrive later than required, I emailed them and they sent me a new invoice and sourced the item in another store for my convenience. Having been an error on my part, the customer service was excellent and on collection the store staff were friendly, polite and professional.
It's great to see that they consistently give great service regardless of budget
