House removals in Leicester and Leicestershire Slick Removals handles complete moves ranging from one-bedroom flats to two, three and four-bedroom family houses. This includes apartments, multi-storey townhouses, student properties and local house moves requiring more than one van load. Our removal service includes loading, secure van packing, transportation, unloading and placing furniture into the rooms requested by the customer. We can also dismantle and reassemble suitable beds, tables and other furniture where required. Customers who prepare and dismantle larger items beforehand can reduce the time and overall cost of an hourly move. Packing services and moving boxes We sell moving boxes for customers preparing for house moves, student relocations or storage. Contact us for current box sizes, prices and availability. A packing service is available on request for customers who would like help preparing their belongings for the move. Man and van prices Our one-man and van service costs £59 per hour including VAT. It is suitable for smaller flat moves, student relocations, single-item collections and jobs where the customer can safely assist with suitable items. Our two-man removal team costs £89 per hour including VAT. This service is recommended for complete house moves, heavy furniture, appliances, difficult staircases and customers who want the lifting handled entirely by our team. Bookings have a two-hour minimum charge. Once the minimum has been reached, additional time is billed in fair five-minute increments instead of being rounded up to another full hour. For hourly moves, charging starts when we arrive at the collection address and finishes when the final item has been unloaded and any agreed furniture reassembly is complete. This includes loading, travel between addresses and unloading. Waiting time during the move, including waiting for keys or access, is also chargeable. Local rates include the removal van, fuel, professional moving equipment, furniture protection, Goods in Transit insurance and VAT. There are no separate charges for stairs, equipment or additional van trips during local moves. Moving boxes and any requested packing service are quoted according to your requirements. There is no call-out charge for local moves within Leicester. For locations further out in Leicestershire, a small call-out charge may apply and will be confirmed when quoting. Removal van and professional equipment Slick Removals operates a Vauxhall Movano removal van selected for access to Leicester’s terraced streets, residential driveways and restricted parking areas. Its side-loading door can be used where access behind the van is limited. The van carries LoadLok cargo rails, securing straps, furniture protection, a Magliner sack truck, lifting straps, a piano skate, loading ramps, mattress protection and assembly tools.
