I Disappointing customer service and unfair return charge was very disappointed with my…
I was very disappointed with my experience with Mallet. I received a pair of shoes with a noticeable issue with the strap length, which was clearly visible in the photos I sent to customer service immediately after trying them on indoors.
Initially, their team acknowledged the issue in writing and approved the return as faulty. However, during the process they also questioned whether I had worn the shoes, despite me explaining multiple times that I had only just received them and had only briefly tried them on indoors in my room. I even provided additional photos showing there were no signs of wear on the soles.
After returning the shoes, they changed their position and claimed the shoes were “not faulty” and refused to refund the £4.99 return shipping fee. This felt unfair and inconsistent, especially considering they had already recognised the issue from the beginning.
To make the process even more inconvenient, there was no QR code provided for the return, meaning I had to find access to a printer and print the return label myself.
The whole experience left me feeling like I had to defend myself over a genuine concern reported immediately after delivery. I expected much better customer service and consistency from a brand at this price point.

With all faulty goods, the return is approved on the portal subject to inspection when the goods arrive at the warehouse. Therefore, we understood your concern and accepted the return on the portal and provided you with the free shipping label. Unfortunately, when the team examined the footwear, no fault was found. This resulted in only the shoes being refunded and not the initial shipping.
All our returns labels have to be printed. We would always post a label if the customer requests this.
The team will reach out to you shortly to try to resolve this issue for you.

Beautiful shoes, poor customer experience
Beautiful shoes, seem high quality but the customer experience is terrible. Ordered a pair of union navy. Ordered size 11 which is my size. It didn't fit so I had to send it back as they run small, no size measurements on the website to properly measure. The website asked me for 4 pictures with the product when submitting the return... Not sure why, given there's nothing wrong with them. I messaged them using the chat, no reply in a few days. Then I was asked to pay for the return which I found strange given that there are no measurements on the website. I paid, the return says that DPD is coming to collect at the address. I get the return, I need to actually go and drop them to a DPD location after I paid £10 in delivery fees (delivery and return). I was planning to buy another pair on top of the one with size problems but I will steer clear due to the poor customer experience. I do not recommend.

For review purposes, we can see you contacted us on live chat on Wednesday at 7.04am. An hour later at 8.04am the team replied to you but with regret, we never heard from back from you. We will try again to make contact with you.
With regards to our sizing, we have not changed the specifications but some styles may come up slightly bigger or smaller depending on the design. If the shoe was sent correctly as per your order but does not fit, this will be a chargeable return. Our portal is set to ask for images but it does not ask for 4 images? One is sufficient.
Unfortunately, we do not offer collections for returns so please can you kindly provide the confirmation where it states that DPD will collect from you?
In the meantime, we will pass your comments onto the production team.

I had to return these shoes due to not fitting. Firstly had to ask for permission to return and send in photos of shoes. I received refund over a week later minus a fee for returning them. Would never use again!!

Paid for trainers ...still no trainers
Paid for trainers .... Still not received, after a long wait, due to Easter and an IT issue on Mallets end DPD dropped a pair of 200 trainers on my door step ( I live on a main rd , and if no answer they are meant to take to dpd drop off centre ) , 7 hrs later I return to no trainers .... .. .they sent a photo of it in my door step , which mallet have viewed.........but it requires a mandatory investigation, I still have no trainers , just buy in store , not worth the ag, plus ankles collapse
