There are many deliberately crafted bugs that are engineered to steal your money (switching to paid / more expensive generations and models and other very sinister scammy techniques).

Locked out of my premium account for weeks, support refuses to disable 2FA
I've had a yearly subscription since the beginning of 2026. After the rebranding from Freepik to Magnific, I suddenly couldn't log in anymore. The reason: 2FA verification emails were consistently arriving 1–2 hours late, long after the code had already expired. I made approximately 50 login attempts over 2 weeks.
I contacted customer support and did everything they asked: I whitelisted the sender domain, the sending address, everything technically possible on my end. I documented all of it and sent it to support. Their response? They sent me the exact same instructions again. No acknowledgment of the information I provided, no escalation, just copy-paste templates on repeat.
The result: I am completely locked out of my premium account. I can't reset my password, I can't disable 2FA, because both require those same verification emails that never arrive in time.
For no reason, they refuse to disable the 2 FA from their side.
I am now in the process of getting a refund, because there is simply no other option. I've also seen similar reports from other users on Reddit, so this doesn't appear to be an isolated issue.
This is the worst customer support I have ever experienced. A platform that locks paying customers out of their accounts and then responds with useless templates is not a platform I can recommend to anyone.

Positiv zu bewerten ist die Weiterentwicklung, die neuen Modelle, Workflows und gute, einfache Bedienung und Übersichtlichkeit.
Das Konzept von unlimited Modellnutzung (bestimmter Bild und Videogeneratoren) ist der stärkste Vorteil der Seite.
Noch vor wenigen Wochen hätte ich 4 oder 5 Sterne vergeben.
Dann wurde aus Freepik Magnific und das Unheil nahm seinen Lauf. Performance am Boden, Bildgenerierungen um das 4 bis 6fache verlangsamt mit gleichzeitig steigenden Preisen.
Das ist für Projekte unzumutbar. Noch geiler der Service. Auf eMail gibt es nach Tagen die Antwort, dass man leider sehr viel zu tun habe, aber sollte das Problem noch bestehen, solle man bitte erneut eMail schreiben. WTF!?!
Fazit:

Ich war mit freepik sehr zufrieden. Seitdem magnific es übernommen hat, sehr schlecht. Ich habe mit banana 2 in 4K extrem gute Bilder gemacht. Jetzt sieht banana 2 in 4k grottenschlecht aus, schlechter als in 2K und ist dennoch teurer. Banana pro in 4k sieht auch schlechter aus wie in 2K. Einfach nur unbrauchbar. Ich habe den Support drei Mal angeschrieben, keine Reaktion. Kündigung geht heute noch raus.

Freepik war super, aber Magnific ist furchtbar. Die kassieren nur dein Geld und liefern dir ein schlechtes Produkt. Es funktioniert meistens nicht und die Qualität ist miserabel.

Freepik used to be a generous and trustworthy suite. Since the recent aquisition from Magnific, the quality has immediately dropped down dramatically. Credits that used to last me about 20 days before hitting the queued limit now barely last for ONE day.. The paralell generations capability dropped to almost non-existent and the queue times have increased dramatically. There is a massive backlash from many users across all social media. I am afraid this might be the end for Magnific (ex-Freepik)_..

Accused of "clearly violating the Terms of Use" for using my "Unlimited" generations, without evidence and then restricted. Asked for proof, specifics, and clarification of what "unlimited" actually means. No meaningful answer.
Higher prices, slower renders, reduced functionality, and now arbitrary enforcement. The service keeps getting worse while costing more.

It changed from Freepik, which was already bad. I cannot believe that I paid 1 yr in advance for the premium sub. It's simply most of the time not working. It has cost me more than what it has given me so far. Regret my purchase.

Disappointing experience
Disappointing experience. I should have stuck with Topaz, but I assumed this would be a newer, improved option. It doesn’t scale beyond 10k resolution, and some of the images were coming out quite grainy.

I love this app but its a rip off
I love this app but its a rip off. The main reason I say that is it resets your credits every month so if you don't use them they vanish. At $40USD a month that is a rip off. For someone like me who uses it heavily then not at all sometimes for weeks, it sucks. The images it produces from scratch are great quality but there is a huge lack of control once you have created said image.
