Shared confidential information as loose gossip AVOID 🤬
Talk talk talk and deliver nothing. I paid £30k for unprofessional service that delivered nothing. Plenty of hot air and talk from account manager Karen, but no results. Confidential information was shared as loose girly gossip. I'm gutted I ever put my trust in them.
Worst decision I ever made as a small business owner.
Plenty of other agencies in York, please don't give this one a chance.

We are disappointed to read this review, not least because it does not reflect the facts of our extensive correspondence with you on this matter.
Your allegation that confidential information was shared was treated seriously and investigated internally. That investigation found no evidence to support your claim, and despite requests, no evidence has been provided to substantiate it.
For that reason, we reject the suggestion that this was ignored or mishandled. We engaged with you fully and responded at length.
There is also a separate ongoing commercial matter, which it would be inappropriate to discuss in detail in a public response. Nevertheless, we do not accept the accuracy of the statements made in this review.
Should you wish to provide verifiable evidence, we will review it.
Overall a really positive experience
Overall we have had a really positive experience with LocalIQ. We had previously been approached by many companies who wanted to 'take control' of our website (for our small business) and 'optimise' it for Google searches and SEO. We were reluctant as we have a specific brand ethos and tone of voice that we convey on our website, and all of the companies that had approached us previously had wanted to start a-fresh and basically give us a 'one-size-fits-all' website that really didn't reflect who we are as a business, or allow us to stand out compared to our competitors. Our experience with LocalIQ has been completely different. Our SEO client success manager, Tasnim Goznovi, has been able to adapt our current website, and has been very sensitive and responsive to our requests to maintain our specific brand look and tone of voice, so that it still feels like us, but is now attracting more traffic and, therefore business, to our website. Tasnim's ongoing support and catch-ups with us are extremely valuable and ensure that everyone is still on the same page when it comes to the overall message we want to convey as a business. We will continue to work with LocalIQ for the foreseeable future, and will very likely be asking them to start building a brand new website for us in the next few years, since they have handled our current one so well.

I don’t usually leave reviews, but I felt I should for LOCALiQ because the service has been excellent.
They recently built a new website for Homestead Lake Country Park, and I’m really pleased with how it turned out. The whole process was smooth, professional, and easy from start to finish.
Matthew, Ben, Claire and the rest of the team were always quick to respond, helpful, and straightforward to deal with. A special mention to Julian too – he took the time to really understand our business and made sure we got exactly what we needed.
The design is fantastic – the site looks great and is simple for our visitors to use. They took the ideas I had and improved on them, which was a real bonus. Technically everything works flawlessly, and it’s been running without a hitch since launch.
If you’re looking for a website built by a team who know what they’re doing and are easy to work with, I’d definitely recommend LOCALiQ.

Money well spent for local businesses
I’ve been using local IQ for around 9 months now and I’m fortunate to have a good team around me (Abbie and Jessica) who have helped my company develop its SEO and my knowledge of SEO. My company is now more visible than ever, and results show me ranking higher than my competitors and were pick up new business for new places we were not reaching before. Don’t be fooled, the process of becoming visible to Google and AI is a long process, but the girls have been great at helping us along and exploring and explaining along the way.

We engaged LocalIQ for SEO and Google ads and the team were well briefed as to the expectations and outcomes i.e.LEADS!
LocalIQ operated through their own platform, which gave no sight of actual expenditure. They changed our telephone number in order to track calls, which created confusion and a level of distrust among our customers and potential customers. Leads were claimed by LocalIQ but in actual fact, through investigation this was not the case.
At month 3 we came into a week of no leads! Performance didn't improve and in month 5 we were offered to redirect the budget to Facebook ads by LocalIQ, a clear indicator that their faith in there work, was not there.
With nearly £30k in expenditure, LocalIQ provided 2 leads that went to sale.
Within a month of moving to our new company, we were back into double figure leads in a week and improving.
Despite going through a review of the miserable 6 months provided by LocalIQ, they claimed that they did not promise or guarantee results! Why else would someone pay you to market their company if not to provide leads.
Gave them every opportunity to come to an agreeable settlement, and they refused.
Do not give this company your time, effort and more importantly money.

As a member of our Client Services Management team explained on 11th August, following a full review of your campaign, your campaign was set up in line with our best practices and delivered a clear improvement in your site’s visibility. We appreciate that the number of leads you received fell short of what you had hoped for and understand how disappointing that must have felt.
Although our agreement doesn’t guarantee a specific number of leads, our team remained committed to optimising performance and made ongoing recommendations throughout your campaign. We’re sorry these efforts didn’t translate into the results you were looking for.
Regarding call tracking, we completely understand your concern about the impact on your customers. While we did discuss this process with you prior to setting your campaign live and confirmed this in the Campaign Construct document that you signed, we’re very sorry if it caused any confusion or discomfort for your business. Please be assured that it was implemented only with the intention of helping us provide transparency in performance and to monitor and improve campaign effectiveness.
We regret that your experience has left you dissatisfied, and while we have many clients who see results from our work with which they are happy, we fully respect that this was not the case for you. Your feedback is valuable to us, and we’ll take it on board to keep improving our services.
