**Need to have a Back-up Plan**

I was provided a Loan Estimate AFTER they have run my credit scores and was being asked to do a rate lock and to provide my initial documents and e-sign authorizations. I complied with all of the request immediately (within 2 -4 hours time frame) only to be told that they would NOT offer the Loan Estimate provided to me after running my credit. Why would you provide a Loan Estimate after running my credit and not offer it after? Typical satire story of click and bait. Not a good business practice.

everything except the closing was done online. only two reasons for 4 starts instead of 5: It took a bit longer than I expected to fund and their system sends out automated reminder emails telling you to log into their portal to upload some information, but when you log in, there's nothing for you to do.

Rates and fees are low but I found better. LoanFlight was not very transparent with the closing costs however and required a full loan application to get an accurate estimate. Several fees, such as the appraisal estimate, were 2x higher than other lenders. It averaged out to be about $500-1,000 higher than comparable lenders for a 200k+ loan. LoanFlight had the lowest APR around but a couple other lenders were at the same rate but lower closing costs. Low review is entirely based on the lack of transparency prior to full loan application.

What you promised you gave at closing. Your word was the same as you spoke.

I had to jump through more hoops than a circus animal to send them document after document. I am working from home and do not have a printer or fax machine so I had to make multiple trips to Office Depot because they wouldn’t accept electronic copies. I sent documents multiple times and had to take my personal time to drive to my current bank for copies of documents that couldn’t be emailed. It was a painful process. Now my loan has closed and been sold to another lender before my first payment has even come due and I am being harassed with multiple letters from loanflight, I think Ive gotten one every other day to sell me mortgage insurance and life insurance. I just got one today to contact them “we’ve been trying to reach you regarding a matter of importance as it relates to your mortgage” NO total scam—it was an automated message again trying to sell me mortgage insurance!!! Leave me alone our transactional relationship is over!

Portal was super easy to use. A big plus.

Loan processors often replied to emailed questions, but not always. That's the only minus which made me reduce from a 5-star to a 4-star rating.

I started with LoanFlight for a refinance and did an appraisal and everything. I was almost done with the process when I saw the final loan estimate and wondered what else was out there. I then started 6 more loan processes with other companies to see if there was anything better and there was not. They weren't even close when it came to the price of closing costs, interest rate, fees, and the money that I'd be getting back at the close of the loan. LoanFlight was so patient with me and helped explain what I was looking at and what numbers mattered, they even looked at some of the other company estimates and explained that to me too. I did the shopping around, now hopefully you don't have to. To give an idea of all the other companies, LoanFlight's closing costs were about $3,500, the next cheapest closing cost company was about $5,500. That's not even close so don't bother looking around and be confident that LoanFlight really is the best deal. It took me about 3 months to complete my refinance because I was slow and wanted to be absolutely certain I was making the right choice, and now I am, and now I hope to do every mortgage and every refinance with LoanFlight.

I didn't continue refinancing due to some personal reason but highly recommend Andrew Koval from LoanFlight Lending. Very professional and prompt. They were always available when I had questions. I will definitely consider them in the future for home lending purpose.

So far the loan process is going great. It was easy to upload documents and know which documents were needed for upload. If you had and questions, even though you did start off with that person there was always a contact person name and phone number right on the side easily to see and get to for you to call. All uploaded documents are there for you to see and if you want to add more you can. There is also a section to help you with the different types of home loans so that you can make a inform decision. Am still in the reviewing stage and so far the process has been easy and all the associates have been very helpful!

Loan Flight has excellent communication and the best digital portal I've ever used.
