I purchased a kit from them a while ago, and the parcel got lost on the way to the lab. I reached support and got a replacement sent, along with the relevant instructions.
I was impressed with their promptitude and professionalism. It was a pleasant surprise that someone replied in no time (minutes!) and I got answers for all my questions regarding the replacement, along with some details about the account, and clear instructions on what to do next.
Very important: no interaction with chat bots, no automated emails with non-sense, no copy-paste from some standard documentation.

If any LivinDNA managers see this: Clare deserves a substantial raise! Don't be cheap!

At the time of writing this review I can't say anything about the results processing/accuracy, as I don't have them yet, but so far I am very happy with their services.

I had a great experience with Living DNA. The customer service team was extremely helpful and competent whenever I had questions, and the prices felt very fair for what you get. The website layout is beautiful and makes it genuinely fun and interesting to learn more about DNA. I opened an DNA Kit for myself and my child, and the whole process was smooth and engaging.

The only downside for me is that the website, explanations, and customer experience are only available in English. I’m based in Germany, and my elderly father unfortunately can’t speak English, so it’s harder for him to follow along. It would be wonderful to see more language options in the future.

Overall, though, I’m very happy with the service and can definitely recommend it.

I got my results on time I appreciate Livingdna’s work

I’m honestly really disappointed with LivingDNA. I was excited to learn more about my background as a Latino and understand my ancestry in more detail, but the whole experience has been frustrating.
The biggest issue is that I’ve been completely unable to upload my raw DNA data. Even though the upload is free, the website keeps giving errors and either freezes or just doesn’t process the file at all. I’ve tried multiple time. For a company that specializes in DNA analysis, you would expect their upload system to function properly. Pages take forever to load, and sometimes it logs me out randomly. It doesn’t feel reliable or professional. As someone who genuinely wants to connect more deeply with my heritage, this has been really discouraging. I can’t even get past the upload stage. I wouldn’t recommend LivingDNA based on my experience so far. They really need to fix their website and technical issues before promoting even a free upload service.

The choice of which DNA information I would like, made it easy for me to understand what was available. Whether I just wanted my own personal profile or to seek familial connections etc, made me feel comfortable about sending Living DNA my most personal information.

I keep getting spam after deleting account, "unsubscribing", contacting the "customer service"

I wanted to check my DNA test results with them. I registered, learned that they don't really have what I was looking for, so I deleted my account. Yet I keep getting their emails constantly. When I clicked the option to unsubscribe, it said that I already deleted my account, so I am unsubscribed.
I kept getting emails. I wrote to them, they said it might take time and that they will fix it.
I'm still getting spam emails!
It's highly annoying and unprofessional!

Don't sign up unless you want spam in your email

I was really looking forward to my results from Living DNA, but they were honestly miles off what I was expecting.
The ancestry breakdown just doesn’t match my known family background at all. Regions showed up that we have no connection to, and the areas we absolutely know about were either tiny percentages or missing altogether. It just doesn’t feel accurate.
For something that’s meant to reflect your heritage, this felt way off the mark. Really disappointed. 1 out of 5.

Clare addressed my request for assistance, owing to the anomalous inability to view matches for two of the four kits I manage, likely caused by my browser, in just a few hours and, moreover, in a most friendly manner. Brava!

My experience with Living DNA was extremely disappointing and it had very little to do with the DNA test itself. The real issue was the customer service.
Communication was poor from the very beginning. Getting clear answers felt almost impossible. I was told that Emma would be the final person handling my case and that she would follow up with me. She never did. After that, everything went completely silent.
I already showed proof of what I was saying and provided all the necessary information related to request number 168242. Despite this, the company still claimed I didn’t provide enough details when they flagged my review. That is simply not true.
What concerned me even more was reading other reviews afterward. Many of the positive reviews seem to focus heavily on customer service rather than the actual DNA testing. A number of them are written in very similar language, which honestly feels suspicious.
To make matters worse, the company flagged my review claiming I didn’t provide enough information, even though I had already submitted the required details. I don’t have time to keep going back and forth repeating the same information, especially when it feels like it leads nowhere. It makes me question how many other reviews may have been flagged or removed.
At this point, I will not be communicating with them anymore. Nothing they say at this stage will change my review. In my experience, dealing with this company has been a complete waste of time.
Stay away.

Customer service is brilliant. My issue was resolved quickly by Clare with clear instructions and quick responses.

My name is Nicolai Buffon. I am trying to create an account. After I create the account, it say that a confirmation email was send to my email address, but I did not receive nothing.
Then I click on resend and wait more than 10 minutes, and still nothing arrive. After that I try to sign in, but it say that my email address is not correct. Then I try to sign up again and it say that my email is already in use.
Honestly, I wasted my time just to try to sign in.

Response: You think I’m not smart or what? You tell me my review belong to another company, but this is not true. I never have problem with another company with my email before. Always everything was working normal.
Instead of waiting me to finish sign in and check better, you decide to flag my review like this. This is not correct behavior. How a company can have credibility if you remove or flag reviews so easy?
I write about my real experience. If you don’t like what I say, this not mean is wrong company. Respect customers and their opinion.

After this, very hard for me to trusted a company like this.

I gave LivingDNA a shot hoping for an accurate test, but I was really let down by the results. The information didn’t feel right, and after looking into other services, it was clear this one just wasn’t as accurate. Even if they reached out, I seriously doubt they’d be able to change my results. Honestly, it’s probably better to stick with companies that have a larger database and more precise regional maps. I’m left feeling frustrated and wouldn’t recommend LivingDNA to anyone looking for reliable answers.

I had some issues and their customer service was very, very good. I couldn't have asked for better!
