Sensor broke twice and no refund
Worked well for just over a week and then the 2 sensors broke one week apart. Limbo customer care promised immediate replacements and I am still waiting 3 weeks later. I really would suggest people think twice before paying over €200 (per month!). The customer service staff are very polite, but clearly have no authority to remedy the situation beyond standard messages.
Good user interface, but the readings are quite "spiky" which doesn't seem right, especially now that I am using Dexcom One+ where the readings are much smoother. Dexcom One+ is cheaper and also comes has an app you can download and link to your sensor, plus you can link to another app called "Clarify" which provides a ton of downloadable data.
Hence I can't recommend Limbo, but following your bloodsugar levels, even if you are not diabetic, provides great insights, to what food is good/not good for you.

Absolutely appalling
Absolutely appalling. Worked well for just over a week and then 2 sensors broke. They promised immediate replacements and I am still waiting 3 weeks later. I really would suggest people think twice before paying over €200. I suspect the product if working is of real benefit but experience shows that if it goes wrong this company is incapable of putting things right. The customer service staff are very polite and I imagine they are looking at their leadership team with disgust and planning their next career move. Avoid.

I am very satisfied with the Limbo app
I am very satisfied with the Limbo app, and the customer service deserves special mention. Despite the numerous challenges I faced, I always received friendly and effective help. The support was consistently courteous and helpful, which is not a given in this day and age. A big thank you to the team for the excellent support!

Waste of my 200 EUR
I pruchased Limbo after reading about it on Instagram and the Trust Pilot reviews. Sad to say that I have to agree with the negative reviews… I received my starter kit and immediately after applying the first sensor, I had an error message: Replace Sensor. I immediately informed Limbo who confirmed a new sensor had been shipped. 20 days later: no new sensor. For 200 EUR I expect more. If you boost your product by advertising non-stop, I would make sure you have enough stock. The promise Limbo makes after one month of usage, is not making any sense given the quality of the sensors and customer service. When and if I will still receive a sensor, is yet to be seen. But my 200 EUR are wasted any how, since my first month was limited to 2 weeks. It’s a shame, because for the 2 weeks the other sensor did work, I already saw results on the scale and in my eating habits… Too bad, I would have been a promotor from Belgium -
Now I can only advise not to spend 200 EUR on a product that lacks in quality and service.

Pricey and disappointing for me
I’m actually disappointed
Let’s start from what you get.
Personally I think it’s too pricey and they could have put some extra patches to keep the sensor sticking and waterproof
My second one was set up correctly but there was a small wrinkle when I stuck the patch and water started leaking through, resulting in erratic communication and wrong data.
During the tests I have tried to keep the line as flat as I could but totally eliminating carbs really doesn’t work for me, because in essence we’re speaking about keto here.
The thing that I was totally flabbergasted about was a message suggesting to drink alcohol to lower the curve.
Sincerely if I could ask for a refund I would.

Significant room for improvement
I have recently completed 4 weeks with Limbo and decided not to renew my subscription. Here’s why.
Pros:
- Accountability. This is probably one of the biggest reasons Limbo is effective. There’s no lying to yourself about that “occasional” cookie or “mouthful” of ice cream before bed.
- Real-time feedback. I found this really helped me “join the dots” between what I was eating and how I was feeling.
- Effective advice (with caveats below). If you follow the programme, you’ll lose weight. It advises you to cut carbs and increase protein and leafy vegetables, both of which will help you drop the pounds.
- No need to weigh food or count macros/calories. I can’t be bothered with all that.
Cons:
- Limbo advises a very restrictive diet. They will say this is not the case, but the reality is that you get negative feedback for ANY carbohydrates you log, even if your line doesn’t spike. Same goes for most fruit, and many vegetables/pulses etc. Carbs may not be “essential”, but variety is the foundation of a healthy diet, and it is very hard to get sufficient micronutrients on what they advise. Likewise, our gut microbiome needs a variety of food. I can guarantee I am not overweight because I have eaten too much fruit.
- Inconsistent advice. They have a webpage dedicated to healthy snacks. Yet the AI will tell you off for any snack, regardless how healthy or whether or not your line spikes. Likewise they will say the goal is to keep a flat line, but still give negative feedback based on what you have logged, not just the effect on your glucose level.
- The AI is not very….intelligent. I had hoped it would learn from the data I was submitting and improve its recommendations to me. I was disappointed.
- Shaming language. The feedback is harsh, and can be very shaming at times. This does not help those with unhealthy relationships to food.
- No nuance. The developers will claim you can “choose your own adventure” and go as quickly or slowly as you wish. But there is no advice offered for those who want to follow a less extreme path, no ideas to make steps in the right direction. Just take it or leave it.
- Missing a day. This is a minor irritation, but Limbo advises you to take a sensor free day half way through. But your subscription is only 28 days, so you lose a day of your second sensor.
- Not very eco friendly. This may not be a big deal to some, but the sensors come in so much plastic, and there is no way to recycle them. Also, eating this way practically requires you to increase your meat intake. I’m not vegetarian, but the general consensus seems to be that eating less meat and more beans/pulses etc is good for our planet (as well as our health). But the AI will slap you on the wrist for eating those!
- No gender-specific advice. There is emerging evidence that low carb diets are less effective for women, and may indeed be harmful as women’s hormones are more sensitive to these changes. This wasn’t accounted for at all.
My main concern is the level of restriction advised combined with the shaming language. I work with people with eating disorders and would STRONGLY advise against anyone with a personal or family history of ED against using Limbo. Please also think very carefully if you have children or teenagers at home - seeing a family member demonise certain foods or food groups (such as carbs) is not sending them a healthy message.
Personally I found 3 weeks was enough for me to learn what I needed to. I’ve since read “The Glucose Revolution” and wish I’d found that first, would have saved me a fair bit of money! My advice would be to read that, listen to some Zoe podcasts, reduce your UPF intake and up your protein. Then see whether you still think it’s worth the money.

Product didn’t work for my second week…
Product didn’t work for my second week and I requested a new product. The request form didn’t work so I reached out asking for a refund. They don’t give refunds apparently even though the product failed to work. This is a very buggy product and terrible customer service.

I received the limbo package and it wasn’t working. I contacted the CS asking to send it and a refund but they claimed that they can’t refund me for used products. My question is how would anyone know if the products are working or not. Very bad service and bad product.

Limbo offers an interesting approach to…
Limbo offers an interesting approach to weight loss but a couple of things really let it down. One is the reliance on a poorly trained AI to give you "nudges" and second is poor customer care once you have signed up.
On the AI, as you log what you eat in their App, it is supposed to give fairly prompt advice on the food choices you are making. However, they tend to be generic "make better choices" or "this is not helping your weight loss journey" type answers which are pretty unhelpful. It's frustrating when you get this having made what you feel is a good choice based on some of the advice articles on their website (some of which are not bad). They say that the AI is supplemented by human intervention which will give better advice but I saw little evidence of this. Their advertising really pushes this element of their program so I was surprised how poor it was.
Customer care is where they really fall down. My sensor failed and even over a week later they said they did not have one to replace it with as they were so busy. This means that either a lot of sensors are failing, or (more likely) they are prioritizing shipping sensors to new customers over helping existing ones who have already paid.
Initially it was also hard to get a response from although once I did they did engage well. However it is clearly a customer care model based on reaction to issues rather than actually solving them.
It's not a cheap program so I'd think carefully about signing up - the monthly cost would get you membership to a pretty nice gym with perhaps even some personal trainer hours / nutritional advice thrown in.
My guess is that right now they are growing quickly (they have a very good social media presence) and the customer service element is really suffering as they try to cope with the growth. But, they charge a high end price so it's not really on that they let people down.
It's a real pity - loved the scientific / game like approach to weight loss so very disappointed to see it so poorly executed.
I will update here on how Limbo decides to respond to all of this.
It's an expensive way to follow keto diet
It's an expensive way to follow keto. They claim it's not keto, but that's just their marketing. They give you Continous Glucose Monitoring device that will tell you when your glucose level rises - after eating, stress, workout, etc. and convince you that you should stay on an extreme low level of glucose (according to Limbo, levels below 70 are totally fine...) and any increase "stops you from loosing weight". What they won't tell you is that you can loose weight in other ways than just not eating carbs. And not eating is really what they try to sell you - any vegetables or fruits, except green leafy vegs - are apparently bad for you but eggs with bacon are a healthiest breakfast option. And even if your sugar won't spike, you will still get a negative feedback because you ate vegetables.
Every time you have a snack (even if it's just berries), you will get negative feedback because snacks are bad. Even if you would otherwise have 8 hours between lunch and dinner.
Sensor also broke the first day, then started working again and in the day 9 just started showing glucose value as 0.0 - their way of solving it is just to set it to 5.5 in the morning which means that you won't really get actual values, just a line.
The only good thing (and that's why 2 stars) is that they actually keep their promise of refund - I didn't even ask for it, just shared my concerns. That's they way to get rid of a problem - remove your posts, comments and kick you out from the community because you dared to share that you lost weight while eating healthy carbs.

Poor product and service
I was looking forward to trying the limbo blood glucose monitor to lose weight. The package with 2 sensors that last 15 days each arrived after 2 weeks or so. I followed the instructions and applied the sensor on my right arm. At first I was amazed how well it worked and how quickly it gave me feedback in real time. However this lasted only about 6 days or so. Before I could complete week 1 with the sensor it started malfunctioning and throwing errors. I contacted customer care and they sent me a troubleshooting guide. I followed all the steps but that still didn’t fix the issue. I ordered a free of cost replacement and then applied the second sensor while the replacement gets sent to me. The second sensor worked for less than 3 hours and failed as well. So at this point in time both sensors have failed and I’ve had to order replacements. I still haven’t received the replacement for the first sensor after 6 days nor have I received an update from customer service as to by when I can expect to receive it. Let’s see how long it takes to get it. But overall for USD 400 this is not a great product or service.

Do not buy this product. Terrible products and terrible customer service. 50% of the sensors do not work and promised replacements do not arrive. Keep getting reminders that my 6 month subscription is running out and have demanded a full refund.

Terrible Customer Service
I have been unable to resolve my request for a refund with very limited responses received on the WhatsApp customer service line. I signed up for 1 month of Limbo and really enjoyed the product and subsequently signed up for a further three month contract. I received the first months refill (2 sensors) and neither sensor worked even after troubleshooting. I was offered replacement sensors which were then delivered. Both replacement sensors also did not work. It has now been a month not being able to actually use the product due to faulty sensors. I am sitting with two replacement sensors (still in the box unopened) and my second month refill has just been delivered. I do not want to continue trying to use this product when none of the sensors work. I contacted the customer support on WhatsApp to explain my frustration and the response I got was they would offer a refund on the third month and appeal a refund for the second (at the time I had not even received the second month refill) due to their policy that they don't refund on used sensors. I am sitting with four unused sensors currently which limbo is more than welcome to collect as I will not be using them. I have chased up with customer service on WhatsApp with limited to no response. Stay away from this company, it's unbelievably expensive for absolutely nothing, the sensors do not work!

Inadequate tech with no useful support
At considerable expense I fell for the marketing and decided to give Limbo a trial. The sensor and transmitter worked for almost 2 days before starting to give wildly different readings. You then have no idea whether the choices you are making are working as the readings are inconsistent with the nutrition advice. I received no forum support with these issues so I raised a support case and after FIVE days got an answer as to how to recalibrate. The sensor then stopped working (no readings) whatsoever. A total waste of time and money. Despite Limbo's assurances of a 14 day refund policy I have now received NO response for 4 days. At least their inability to answer any reasonable question is consistent. This product is terrible.

Definitely worth a try, even if just for a month
Ok so I am just about to finish my first month with Limbo and so after nearly 4 weeks, feel that I qualify to give a fair review.
Firstly, I think that everyone should try this if only for a short period as it gives a personal insight into how your blood glucose performs and as everyone is different, it really is worth the short-term investment.
I can't afford to do months of this and so I'm a bit sad to finish already but here are my tips:
1) For the first month, don't use it to try to lose weight, rather just keep eating how you normally eat and see how it affects your glucose levels. You will be shocked at how the smallest amount of hp sauce can affect your levels, or baked beans even just a small portion! That one biscuit at work really does throw your levels out. It proves how sugar really is very detrimental to our health but how natural foods that are high in calories such as nuts, do not do you any harm (quite the opposite).
2) Eat as many different foods as you can to start with and keep a mental note of the foods that don't agree with you initially.
3) If you can afford to do this for longer, do it for 3-6 months as the idea is that once you have settled into keeping your glucose levels stable, you will learn how to eat more carbs by (for me as an example) by eating them after fibre, with fats... it is amazing how food combining makes such a difference.
4) Drink more water!! It really does make a difference.
5) Cold showers before noon, amazing.
They may be a competitor but I would also highly recommend listening to the Zoe Science and Nutrition podcasts alongside using the Limbo CGM. Zoe do their own CGM but it is much more expensive and not aimed at weight loss but the podcast will give you a real insight to the latest nutrition advice and I have introduced more foods into my diet like cheese, olive oil and nuts and found that they don't spike my glucose levels.
Finally, the A1 feedback on the app is pretty poor, it will give you feedback such as 'the food choices you are making is delaying your weight loss' but then not explain what that means (having logged a salad). It's a shame really but for the price, one can't really complain.
I will probably do this again once a year. Give it a go.

Don’t bother wasting your money
Don’t bother wasting your money. The app and IT behind this product is horrific. Connections issues to sensors and error messages continuous. Product theory is good but needs investment into its App to make it work. Wouldn’t buy it until this is complete

Would not recommend - awful customer service, with incredibly slow response times.
I've had to contact them twice with connection problems to the two sensors I received. Each time they take days and days to respond, with the response indicating "I apologize for the oversight; your request ended up in a different queue and unfortunately got missed."
I think different queue just means that they are either really inefficient or this is just an excuse for excessively slow reponses.
