Really disrespectful !!!!
Really disrespectful !!!!
Went this morning to Lidl in Patchway and the scanning wasn’t working so a VERY RUDE assistant came without saying good morning and I said “this is not scanning can you please help” and he immediately replied “Its not scanning? Why is not scanning? See!! Is scanning now!” and went off like that….very disappointing that LIDL employs people that are not happy doing their job and myself as a regular costumer pays the price for it…..this happened on 27.04.2022 at 8.30 am His name is Steven…Lidl Patchway - Never go there again !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
not fit for human consumption
Purchase a joint of beef which even after slowing cooking in the oven the dog couldn’t chew. Had a response to my online complaint 9 days ago and I’m yet to receive my refund. Beef wasn’t fit for human consumption even at a cost of just under £12!!! Not the first time I have had cause to complain about the quality of the meet, but it will be last !! Poor quality and even worse customer service, they don’t even give you the courtesy of a reply!!
Lidl Plus winning coupons are not catered for everyone
Using the Lidl plus card. You must spend a certain amount of money in order to get an online scratch card and/or coupon. I spent £75 on this shop. The item I won was 35% off pack of pork sausages. I am vegetarian and also Muslim. I know the prize is nothing much, but it’s still something I get for shopping at Lidl. Unfair that I can’t even use that. They could have at least offered vegan/vegetarian options as prizes. The prizes are not catered for everyone and that’s a real shame. I might as well shop at Aldi who doesn’t give anything. I didn’t get anything I could use from Lidl anyways.

We have a new Lidl opened up near us so decided to try it. The shop is well laid out and the staff are helpful. The vegetables were disappointing and the ready meals were very poor. Bread was OK and wines were nice. It’s back to Aldi for us even though it is further away.
Chef Select Steak & gravy pie 200g
Steak? - just gristle & gravy + pastry. Not recommended

I have spent thousands of pounds at this store, enough is enough. I’m sick of buying s@@t disguised as food. Rotten onions, stale fruit which in the past I’ve let go. But after Lidl ignore complaints that’s enough! They believe they can serve up s@@t & treat customers the same. Arrogant beyond belief!
Contacting them is flawless
Contacting them is flawless, I got throught to someone on the online chat straight away and they were very helpful
Lasagne - disappointing
Lasagne. Not good. We HAD to get some ready meals, love this shop so tried lasagne. I didn't finish it. Instead of mince there was beef like pieces. No taste at all. Very disappointed.

Meat nearly out of date.
Fruit already going mouldy.
Bought home family size crisp packet and some of the packets inside were open and spilled out everywhere.
Definitely not going back.
Don't buy from this shop
Don't buy from this shop. Not only they don't accept returnes of faulty products but they don't even speak to you about the problem.Bought a bottle of the most expensive wine which was just fruity water . Bothered to walk all the way to the shop to return it with no success
Customer Services - or lack of....
The staff at my local Lidl in Gloucester are unfailingly helpful, and try to resolve any issues in store. The same cannot be said of Lidl customer services. I have had the misfortune of needing to contact them when my LidlPlus card failed to register at a checkout, although manually input by one of the staff. No Digital receipt and no record of the accumulation of spend towards the money off voucher for £100 spend. Trying to get through by phone is an endurance exercise in its own right, only to then have an operator talk over me to tell me what I needed to do whilst I was trying to explain the issue. This resulted in an e mail to customer services giving all the required information including a copy of the receipt in question, only to then receive an email asking for exactly the same information as already given, and then a further e mail in response to say that nothing could be done to retrospectively correct the problem with one of its own tills failing to register a LidlPlus card and the spend involved. So a long drawn out process that does not support the customer disadvantaged as a result of a Lidl till point problem.
I have a question why is uk lidl…
I have a question why is uk lidl products are more expensive then other European countries not only i hate how the supermarket is designed its poor shelfs the prices are not well labelled its hard to find anything specially when there’s a-lots of shoppers with there trolleys bigger then the pathway i personally don’t recommend it to anyone its soooo expensive for what they sell local shops are reasonable about the quality and prices .my opinion my experience
I have two complaints
I have two complaints, one regarding there bakery and the other more important one is food packaging being tampered with .
I told the store manager at the time about my complaints and it more or less a shrug of the shoulders
I contacted Lidl complaints department and I was told see the manager. With this message to the complaints department I sent photos and said I had spoken to the manager and the outcome.
I regard tampering with food packaging the the customer can’t see till they have used it’s contents as a serious and possible dangerous to eat , that someone like area manager via complaints dept should been told about it
In store bakery .
There low GI loaf is lovely but it’s been always a bitdamp in the middle and I have mentioned to various managers and get told the backing is automatic .
The last one I bought it was like a piece of pPlay Do in the middle and cutting it just collapsed.and I had to toast my slices before I could use them to get some off the dampness out.
The attitude leave it with the manager and the poor manager works harder on the shop floor than than his fellow workers .

Lidl Battle Hill - Stock Issues
I work for a living. Typically office hours, Monday to Friday. Sometimes I finish late. What really, really hacks me off is when I need to go to my local Lidl after I've finished work to get some food, and find what I am after has clearly flown off the shelves, earlier on during the day by people who are clearly not at work. Why must those who work for a living during the day be penalised by empty shelves. This is the Lidl at Battle Hill, Wallsend. Get your flipping act together and have some consideration for those who are unable to visit during the day, and do your job by replenishing your stock throughout the whole time you are open. It really, really annoys me. And Lidl management, STOP INSTRUCTING YOUR STAFF TO THROW CUSTOMERS ITEMS THROUGH THE CHECKOUT!!!! Not a good customer service experience, or a good customer journey. Get your act together and act on this review.
Illegal Practice! Spend a Lidl more than advertised!
A few weeks ago I purchased a box of Fruit & Fibre which was advertised as being £1.09, but when I got home and looked at the receipt, I noticed that I had been charged £1.19. On my next visit in December I picked up another box which was still being advertised as £1.09, but this time I queried it at the till. The checkout operator informed the manager who said I would still have to pay the £1.19. Rather than make a scene or hold up the queue, I completed my purchase and left. It is now January, and the product is still being advertised incorrectly? This time I spoke to a manager directly and told him that they were misleading customers with false advertising. This is just one product! How many other products are there where this is happening? What they are doing is illegal. Trading Standards need to take a look at their dodgy practices, and they should be prosecuted and fined. The "so called" managers in these stores are a joke.

I spent in excess of £100 dring December. As a resul I got a £2 off voucher. I activated this voucher this morning. I visited my local store today and when I came to pay the £2 off voucher was not applied and it has now disappeared from my phone. This has happened before but that time I didn't check before leaving the store. I conclude that LIDL is unreliable and cannot be trusted. Don't bother spending to make up the amount to get your money off vouchers as they cannot be trusted.
Awful Shopping Experience at Lidl
Last week, I went to Lidl store in Harrow Weald, North West London, with a £10 discount voucher for shopping of at least £40 which was advertised in the London Metro. I specifically bought items that I do not frequently buy in order to make up the £40 to qualify for the £10 discount. At the checkout, the cashier, took the voucher, scanned it and then asked if I had a Lidl card which I did because I had bought insurance through Confused.com and was given £20 to spend in Lidl (please note that the £20 was money to spend and not a discount voucher). However, the cashier said that their computer system automatically deducted the £20 from my bill and would not give the £10 discount. So, in effect, I purchased over £40 of stuff and did not get the £10 discount. The cashier did not return my voucher to be used on subsequent shopping and when I later that day complained to the Customer Services at Lidl head office, I was fobbed off and was even alleged that I was lying about handing in the £10 voucher.
I found their customer care policy disgraceful and the whole experience awful. I have no intention of ever buying anything from this store again.
All of you angry reviewers
All of you angry reviewers, you should address your comments to a particular store, not Lidl in general!
I love Lidl food products, are so much better than boring same stuff in supermarkets at high prices and not necessary quality. I am foodie, always cook from scratch and love good quality of products. Lidl offers just that!
But of course all depends on managers and working ethos of individual stores...
