I did not like that there was an additional fee of $249 for compliance filings and professional licenses that i did not need. It took extra effort to remove these fees and it was not visibly disclosed that the fees would be charged in 10 day.

We set up an LLC with this company for a one-time fee. They knew a registered agent is not required or necessary if in state and not only put themselves as the registered agent, but HID this information which was nowhere on their site, our account, no billing, no warning, etc. They billed us $399 annually for several years we missed and caught on a statement for doing NOTHING. Even 3rd parties when a RA is required only would charge around $10 annually. We fixed with the state to our invdividual names and the company was predatory on these hidden fees and non-disclosure, and they REFUSED to refund the charge. I see why they have an F rating with the BBB and others. Do NOT use this terrible company.

I need to update some documents created with LegalZoom in 2020 and Welmar was great at getting logged back in and briefed me on what to do for the updates.

Service agent was able top navigate my issue and resolved it.

Melliza was very helpful! She was friendly and asked how my day was, which made me feel comfortable. She had a quick but thorough answer about my problem and was able to redirect me to who handles the billing, since my problem was outside her jurisdiction. She wanted to make sure I didn't have any other issues before ending the chat. I wish I had something more constructive to say, but honestly our interaction was great in every way!

Alfie stayed on with me while I started the process and he was very helpful.

July 13th 2026 -
I have been using Legal Zoom for many years unfortunately they increased the price significantly and automatically. I went from pay $239 a year to $449, I missed the email but that didn't matter I was charged. I asked for my subscription to be cancelled but they told me I would not get my money back. So be aware and make sure you turn off automatic subscriptions.

UPDATE: Legal Zoom reached out to me and offered me a full refund. I appreciate the professionalism. They called a number of times and emailed to discuss my experience. I would like to thank them for the swift and professional action.

I am changing my review from 1 star to 3 stars. Prior to this it would have been 4-5 Stars.

Customer service is fantastic. Maria was very patient in trying to direct me to where I could revise my living trust. Ultimately, I was able to make the revision I wanted and have Maria to thank for that.

Carlos Guerrero was the agent that helped me. I had alot of questions. He was kind, patient and knowledegable. He made this experience much easier to navigate than I expected. His support is exactly what I needed.
