Extremely Poor Service
My first and only time using this service was very unsatisfactory. I requested to have my yard cut and the person that was supposed to cut it didn't show up plus the money was taken out of my bank account. Service was not complete!! I had to wait a couple days before someone else showed up. The yard was butchered. It had patches of grass not cut throughout the yard, it was not trimmed because the weed eater broke, nor was the grass debris blown from the sidewalk. The cutter said he would come back the next day to finish but never showed. I was very displeased because again money was taken out of my account for extremely poor service. After going back and forth writing emails, sending pictures, and contesting the price with my bank, I was finally given half the payment back a month later. I was so frustrated and disappointed because my dad had just passed and he always kept the yard cut. Through this experience I won't use this service ever again!!

We want to clarify what happened with your payment and refund. When a provider is en route, the app places an automatic authorization hold to confirm funds, which is released if a service is canceled. While our team offered a complimentary fix it service to correct the lawn, we respected your preference for a refund instead. Our support team attempted to process that refund directly and reached out to you to finalize it, as direct refunds are much faster than bank disputes. However, because a chargeback was initiated through your financial institution, the funds were held by the bank while the dispute process took its course.
We always strive to deliver a seamless experience and resolve issues as quickly as possible, and we are deeply sorry for the frustration this process caused you. If you ever have further questions or need additional assistance, please do not hesitate to contact us at support@lawnguru.co.

I appreciate that he is a entrepreneur working to build his business, and I genuinely want to see him succeed. However, I was disappointed with the quality of the lawn service. The edging was incomplete, the cleanup was not done well, and the overall job looked rushed. There were also weeds left growing around my garage that needed attention. I chose not to leave a review after my first experience because I wanted to give him the benefit of the doubt, but unfortunately, I was disappointed again. I believe he has room for improvement, especially when it comes to attention to detail and making sure the job is completed properly before leaving. I wish him success in growing his business, but I also believe customers should receive the quality of service they pay for.

The booking process is good, the people they send to cut your grass are absolutely horrible. They don't weed eat or edge at all. They leave long blades of grass uncut. Looks like a teen cut it

I've previously used this app
I've previously used this app. And lawn professionals will add it, tell you a time of arrival or wait the full 48 hours release the job and there's no limit to how many times they can do that. After about 3 or 4 times lawn guru will attempt to charge you double because of growth. This has nothing to do with your booking date amd everything to do with lawn professionals being allowed to add and drop jobs as they see fit. Sticking the homeowner with an un mowed lawn amd now 2x the price.
I've also experienced where techs would mow and edge but not pick up the clippings that took 5 days to have someone come out and fix what the previous lawn professional did not do.
This application is a great idea but after a few uses the same issues occur and support is seemingly non existent to make it right. All they do is tell you exactly what the app says. Be aware when using this app
