Best Galaxy Fold 7 case & screen protector

Customer satisfaction not guaranteed

Original posting: Good products but their customer service is not looking for the satisfaction of their customers. Wanted to change the case as the color was not accurate on their website and they asked me to pay for shipping to return the case. For the price we are paying I thought this was not an okay solution. Their communication is all over the place without grasping the need and necessity of correcting their own mistake by displaying an inaccurate color.
Update: Thanks for the response. I appreciate your kind efforts. My review scoring was adjusted accordingly. No need to exchange since I already put on the metallic ring. So it is likely no longer eligible for a return..

Thanks for reaching out and taking the time to provide us with your feedback. Customer satisfaction is definitely important to us, and I'm sorry to hear that your recent experience didn't quite live up to expectations.
It's worth noting that the images you see on our website are actual photos taken of our products - they're not renders or colour-adjusted in any way. These product photos are taken under bright white studio lighting in order to show off the true colours of the case and material.
With that in mind, it can definitely look a bit different in person depending on your indoor lighting. For example, warmer indoor lighting can completely change how the case looks (making it look darker, or a relatively different hue). However, if you view the case under bright white lighting or natural sunlight conditions, you'll see the same hues shown on our website.
As for returns, we tried to make it as clear as possible in our FAQ that we don't cover the cost of returns or exchanges. However, if you send an email over to nick@latercase.com and include your order details, I'd be happy to make a one-time exception here for you as a gesture of goodwill.

Hands down, the best customer service in the industry. I have been a customer since the inception of Latercase and never had any issues. 1 Samsung Note, 2 iPhones, 2 AirPod Pros. My AirPod Pro3 case just arrived and was slightly discolored. I informed Latercase, and they have sent a new 1, free of charge, no questions asked. Well done Team Latercase and thank you!

Waited 5 weeks to “ship”. Since then it’s been over a week with “USPS awaiting package”. They just print labels and still not in transit. Support seems knowledgeable but haven’t delivered and I know believe it’s a scam / fraud

Kindly note that, when you placed your order on Sept 25th, our AirPods Pro 3 cases were on pre-order for October, which is why your order wasn't shipped right away. Sorry for any confusion or inconvenience caused if you may have missed this information when visiting our website.
I can also confirm that the order was shipped on October 22nd as expected - it wasn't just the label that was created. Normally, USPS gets packages scanned into their system within 48 hours, but it can sometimes take a bit longer depending on whether there are any backlogs at the origin facility. Looks like they were indeed working through a bit of a backlog in this instance, as the package wasn't processed and scanned into their system until Oct 28th. However, they were able to successfully deliver it a few days later on Oct 31st.
While the vast majority of our US shipments arrive within 1-6 business days after being shipped, unforeseen circumstances beyond our control do sometimes occur that can cause a package to arrive a bit later than originally expected, so we're sorry that you had this experience. As a gesture of goodwill to help amend for the 1-day delay, we've gone ahead and refunded your shipping fee in full - you should have just received the refund confirmation email.
In the meantime, we hope that you're enjoying your new Latercase! If there's ever anything else that we can help you with, you know where to reach us.
Limited Protection outside being Thin
Had my new one plus 12 fall with the case on around 50-60 cm from my car onto the floor. Corner hit the ground, the protected side and still shattered, my whole phone lost the screen and I had to buy a new one from the damage.
Also the case "shaves" from the damage and gets shattered as well as it is now unusable as well even if I fix my phone I would have to get a case that doesn't protect my phone and also doesn't protect itself

It’s important to note that Latercase was designed first and foremost to preserve the phone’s original design and feel: ultra-thin, lightweight, and minimal. While the Kevlar material is extremely strong and does an excellent job protecting against scratches and everyday wear, the ultra-thin nature of the case itself isn’t designed with impact-protection as the primary focus. We also tried to make this as clear as possible in the FAQ on our website.
Sorry for any inconvenience caused if you may have missed this information. We don't have any immediate plans of adding an impact-resistant case to our portfolio, but I'll be sure to pass your request along to our design team. Might be something we can explore in the future!

Killer case backed by excellent customer care
Not only is this by far the best slim case I’ve ever used in terms of durability and quality, but their customer service team is responsive and reliable. I’ve tried other cases promising a slim fit but they warp over time and don’t protect nearly as well. I’m reordering for my new phone and will be a loyal latercase customer. Nice job guys!

Impossible to cancel an order
Later case is really fast when it comes to creating a label. That’s it. A label was created for my package the day after I placed the order. Really exciting to see that my order was fulfilled so fast I was waiting for my item to arrive in the mail. Two weeks later the label was still stuck in NY. Contacted customer care twice (a week apart from each contact not to be a nag) to find out that my package was sent to a distribution center in PA even though the label created said that it was in NY. Asked to cancel the order but it is impossible since the package was on transit (tracking order said that the label was created only). Unable to cancel the order I must wait until the package arrives then I have to return it after paying for shipping back myself. Latercase is available for next day delivery through Amazon, rather deal with Amazon than Latercase ever again. Not a great experience at all. Hope I get my refund fast, they did manage to charge my card the very next day from ordering though.

First off, I’m truly sorry for the delay with your order. I can confirm that it shipped from our warehouse the day after you placed it, but unfortunately, USPS accidentally misrouted the package, which led to the extended transit time.
This definitely isn’t the level of quality shipping we expect our customers to receive. Over 97% of our shipments arrive within the expected transit window, but unexpected carrier delays can occasionally happen, and this was one of those rare cases. I hope this outlier experience doesn’t deter you from giving us another shot in the future.
In the meantime, while we’re unable to cancel shipments once they’ve left our warehouse, I see that our team promptly processed your return and refund as soon as you provided the details. If there’s anything else we can do to help, you know where to reach us!

First case I bought was for zfold 5 and Now I got the same standard fiber case to my Zfold 7 just my problem is the zfold 5 case that piece that covers the back had perfect fit and now for zfold 7 it moves around every way, phone shakes around every way it can...

The no case case!
Put one on my Pixel 9 Pro XL and I'm really impressed. Fit is perfect. The texture is amazing. Incredible how thin and lightweight this case is. A little concerned about drop protection though.

Beautiful & SUPER Fragile.
The cases are beautiful, super slick, thin, etc. What they don’t tell you is they are also super fragile. 1 drop, and it’s done. Also, it takes almost a full calendar month to arrive once ordered. I’ve had 2 now, won’t buy another.

Canceling order impossible
The inability to cancel an order after it has been placed is a significant issue. This rigid policy, which appears to be a choice made by the business using the Shopify platform, creates a very poor customer experience. Furthermore, I was not satisfied with the product itself, which was also overpriced. Furthermore, you have to pay for the returnment.

Regarding our cancellation policy, we don’t offer self-serve cancellations for a couple of key reasons:
Operational Control: Fulfillment and shipping often move faster than a cancellation request. Once an order enters the workflow (picked, packed, or queued for pickup), it can’t be stopped with a simple click of a button. By handling cancellations through our support team, we can make sure the order is still eligible for a cancellation before issuing the refund.
Fraud Prevention: In e-commerce, protecting both our customers and our business from abuse is important. If cancellations were offered instantly, someone could place multiple large orders just to lock up stock (especially on limited or high-demand items) and then cancel later, effectively blocking genuine buyers from purchasing. Also, once an order has shipped, there’s no way to recall it. A cancellation button at that stage could allow someone to cancel (and be refunded) while the product is already on its way, creating a scenario where they would receive the product without paying for it.
By routing cancellations through our support team, we’re able to confirm order status, protect inventory for genuine customers, and prevent abuse, all while still resolving legitimate requests quickly. This keeps the process secure, fair, and reliable for everyone.
Regarding the return shipping cost, we tried to make it clear in our FAQ that we don’t cover return postage, mainly because our payment gateway doesn’t allow us to refund more than the original purchase amount. That said, I see you’ve already been in touch with our support team, and they offered to refund your order in full, including your original shipping fee (which normally isn’t refundable) as a gesture of goodwill.

Thanks for reaching out and taking the time to leave a review. It's important to note that, as mentioned on our website, Latercase is a 0.6mm ultra-thin case and was not designed with impact protection as the primary focus.
Our goal was to create a light case that would improve the aesthetics of your device while keeping it thin enough that you could appreciate the phone's original design as the OEM intended. While the Kevlar material that we use is quite strong and will stand up to scuff marks, scratches, and everyday wear and tear, the form factor and design of the case is not centered around impact resistance.
Hope that helps clear things up a bit. We don't have any immediate plans of adding an impact-resistant case to our portfolio any time soon, but happy to pass your feedback along to our design team. Might be something we can explore in the future.

It should be called Nowcase as opposed to Latercase...
To set the stage, I have always looked for the thinnest of phone cases. I am very careful, but have experienced the occasional drop and I never liked that "bulk" feeling. I found Latercase three phones back and have used them ever since. I had ordered a couple of aramid cases from other brands to test them out, but be it the design, feel, or both, I did not keep them. The Latercase fit and finish is unmatched and you can tell a lot of thought goes into the design. I was blown away today when my Flip 7 case arrived, so much so that I sent Nick in Support a thank you note (he is great). Anyway, being that I bought this site unseen (photo not on the web yet) I assume it would have the raised corners on both sides of the cover screen like every other case...it doesn't! This is great in my opinion as it just makes the phone smoother and you don't have to deal with getting your finger caught on the opposite raised corner like I was continuously doing with my temporary case from Samsung. Like I said, this truly is the Nowcase...so don't buy it later. Thank you team and see you for the next one!

Fits my Samsung Galaxy Flip 5 beautifully
I have a Samsung Galaxy Flip 5. I love the phone, but I do not love the rinky-dink case they sold me at the Verizon store to go with it. Not only is it bulky, but the top part kept sliding off every time I'd take it out of my pocket. So annoying and frustrating! When I thought I'd lost that top part for good (maybe it's on the floor somewhere at the grocery store??), I searched online for alternatives. That's how I landed on Latercase. I order one -- about the same price as my previous cases from Verizon. (Yes, cases. This would be the third.) Then, miraculously -- I found the top part on the seat of my vehicle. I tried to cancel my order from Latercase, but it was already in transit and it arrived the next day. When I slid the new Latercase on my phone and it made a satisfying click into place, I nearly died! It was like the heavens opened up and a glorious light shone down on me holding this beautiful phone with a snug, well-fitting case wrapped around it. And when I folded it ... so thin! So sleek! That's when I think I heard angels singing. I showed it to my husband, who has the same phone as me and is equally annoyed at the schmatta case from the Verizon store. In the end, I bought one for him, too. Now we both marvel at our beautiful folded phones with the snug, well-fitting case that's not bulky in our pockets. Very happy! Well done, Latercase!!!
