I had a load of junk in my garage and decided to order a skip,but my husband thought some of it was too heavy for us to lift and he searched the web and found this company. I have to admit I was really apprehensive about using them as I looked up trust pilot as he was on the phone ordering the service and the reviews were pretty bad. I actually told him not to go ahead with it ,the girl he was speaking to heard me and told him she could hear what I was saying so she wouldn’t take a deposit from us but would send them out the next day,giving us about 30 minutes of a warning,The next morning I got a call and they were out in about twenty minutes,the men were absolutely brilliant at the job and extremely pleasant,they couldn’t not have done any more,Also the girls my husband dealt with were really helpful and I can not fault the service we received,in fact I would give this company 10 out of 10,I don’t know where the bad reviews came from but my experience was top class.

Was told I would get a call giving a three hour window for collection the day before , I did not.
Called at 11:30 on day of collection, was told they would get back to me.
At 1pm they told me they would collect it within two hours.
By 4pm I called back as no sign of them, and was told they would be here within the hour. They arrived at 5pm, so I wasted my whole day waiting when I could have worked.
I escalated a complaint to the complaints department. I never heard anything.
Only reason I am giving two stars is because the actual collection people were nice.
Update: a day after this review was posted, Valerie called, she was lovely and went through everything and apologised and organised a partial refund. Happy with the eventual resolution and hope next time better communication will occur.

75 euro to collect a double bed.
I shopped around and got it collected for 40 euro.

I used Kollect a year or so ago and they let me down pretty badly with collection - I was left with rubbish outside my home across Xmas. They compensated me with complimentary service at the time.

I gave them another go and couldn't regret it more. They were the most expensive option for a 4cy skip but promised prompt delivery so I went with them. However the skip was not delivered at the agreed time or date and communication was extremely poor.

Now it's the same story for collection, no show for collection on the agreed date and no communication on why or when it will occur.

Kollect subcontract the job out to other providers and add a fee so you are better working directly with a skip hire company for better price and more direct lines of communication.

If you are happy to pay more and delivery and collection dates are no big deal to you, Kollect might be a good choice. However if you are busy trying to fit things in between work and you don't like getting charged more, I'd probably look at an alternative like A1 skips who are much more professional and reliable.

Worst skip company ever, ordered days skip ahead of time , didn't arrive until after 4 :30 lost a whole days labour and customer service is atrocious kept telling me they would update me from 9:30 and no callback despite calling 2 or 3 times during the day,never again

I called kollect.ie to book a junk removal service as I thought it would be easier and quicker than a skip even though it was on the pricer side... Easy process to book and took 50 euro deposit. Booked in for a friday and got a confirmation email the day before and had spoke to a staff member on the monday beforehand regarding some questions i had...However on the day I had not received any communication. I was left waiting all day I tried to call twice no answer until I got through around 3pm to which a staff member told me they'd ring the driver and get them to call me. I received a call about an hour later by another staff member to say that there was no one in my area today. Despite originally booking I was told there would be someone in my area on that date! And if I hadn't contacted them in the first place no one would have even informed me of this. I had to take time off work to organise this and felt my time was wasted..I was offered the following week..I didnt re book as date didnt suit and I cant trust them to show up! Ended up finding a local man with a van on facebook for half the price!

Booked and paid for a skip hire, received a payment receipt, on the day it was supposed to be dropped off no sign of it. After contacting them the agents told me there was no record of the job. I then received a call from an agent who stated they were “proactively” reaching out to arrange the hire as they realised a job hadn’t been created after the payment was made. They advised it wouldn’t be until Monday, although at the time on the website they were advertising I could book a delivery for Saturday, so either the agent lied or the company is falsely advertising services available. I asked for an estimated time on Monday as a job was starting and I needed it first thing or I’d be paying for the contractors to do nothing until the skip arrived..was told “can’t give you a time as you never know what way the roads will be”. They then said they’d see what they could do and call me back… no such call back made and still no confirmation of the job being booked in. Not one apology made for their error. Disgraceful customer service.

Absolutely terrible service. We hired this company to deliver a skip and collect it on an agreed date, but the skip was left sitting on our property for two weeks after it was meant to be picked up. There was no communication at all from the company to explain the delay or arrange a new collection date.

We had to constantly call and chase them just to get the skip removed, which should never be the customer’s responsibility. Very unprofessional, unreliable, and frustrating to deal with.

Would not recommend this company and will definitely never use them again.

I got text about collecting time and date. After that someone had called me and give exactly time of collection. When they arrived, they collected my sofa bed very quickly. It was great experience.

Extremely poor service. I booked a collection for today, phoned twice to confirm that pick up was happening which I was assured was the case. I had prepaid €200. They never showed up, never called to reschedule.

An absolute shambles of a company that can't deliver basic services but is more than happy to take your money.

I phoned on Monday in need of an emergency skip hire, I was promised that it would be delivered on Tuesday. It didn't show up and I was strung along the whole day. I receive a call from Erica on the customer service team to tell me that she spoke to "the yard" and it turns out that they never had any skips available for Tuesday.
I was livid, they took my money and didn't follow up on what was paid for. Erica offered a man in a van service to collect rubbish (not what I paid for and no where near sufficient), I demanded that they have the skip delivered on Wedneday morning or they could refund me.

They committed to delivering the skip first thing Wednesday morning.
So, when the skip hadn't arrived at 10:00am, I phoned, was told I'd get a call back. I didn't.

So I phoned back at 11:00 and 11:30, they told me the skip would be delivered within the hour.
It wasn't..

This company will lie to you repeatedly, fail to provide the service you paid for. Go and look elsewhere and save yourself a massive amount of hassle because these guys are absolute scam artists.

Kollect cleared out my mum's former home on Friday 14th Nov. Both the company and Johnny on the day were a total pleasure to deal with. Communicative, professional, on time, quick, neat and tidy.
I would heartily recommend them 100%.

Really efficient service from booking to collection, Johnny came to take our couch and did it so quickly and easily he was very nice, it wad hassle free for us which was great.

Next day service. Very efficient. Would happily recommend.
