Very good experience
Really helped me with maths

My daughter was tutored by Gillian at the Wakefield Centre who improved her confidence at Maths incredibly so that after 2 previous failed attempts at school and college she then passed after just a couple of months with Gillian …highly recommend!

I enrolled both of my kids at Kip McGrath for a couple of years, and it incurred significant costs. However, over time, I noticed changes in their processes. The final straw for me was the realization that I wasn't allowed to take holidays without paying for classes, whether my kids attended or not. Despite the financial investment, I hadn't observed any substantial progress in my boys during their time with Kip McGrath.

I decided to explore alternatives and found a different company that offers one-to-one tutoring instead of the one-to-six ratio at Kip McGrath. This means that for every hour, my kids now receive the full hour of focused attention, as opposed to just 10 minutes. Surprisingly, the cost difference is minimal compared to what I was paying at Kip McGrath.

I am delighted to share that I've witnessed significant development in both of my boys since making this switch. One of them has transitioned from failing to passing, a positive outcome that hadn't occurred during his time at Kip McGrath.

I found Micheal and Jill Rooney to be very unprofessional and money hungry with no real consideration taken for my child, or children. At one point we where paying them upwards of 70 pounds per week for our 2 children and they got no 1:1 interaction whatsoever. I have heard of lots of complaints since Joanne left the education centre, this year. Very disappointing service to say the least

Kip McGrath has greatly improved my child’s math skills. They have a loving community and her tutor is simply amazing. There tutor Carina makes my child more confident in maths and not to be scared to get things wrong. Honestly we should be saying thanks to Kip McGrath

In year 11 my son was predicted a 2 for maths . His tutor actually said he had no chance of passing as there wasn’t the time to catch up before exams . We enquired with Kip and were assigned Elaine Martin as his tutor where he joined a very small group once a week . Elaine was absolutely fantastic, she put him and us at ease from the start and communicated with us throughout . Any questions I had she answered promptly. My son did Infact pass his maths exam , with a pass mark 4 and I know without Elaine at Kip this wouldn’t have been possible!! We are so greatful so would highly recommend this company to anyone that is in need of a little or a lot of extra help ❤️

Colchester centre - son took a 11+ mock - his detailed results were shared with another family and their son approached mine to boast how he had done better. They knew my sons scores before I did . A friendship destroyed - my son humiliated. Confidence destroyed . Confidentiality means nothing and has been used in a malicious way to boost one child’s ego while destroying another . No shame - so far centre has denied this happened .

The teachers are not nice they kept me until 8:30 because i never knew 15+6

Our son is hindered by ADHD and the problems created by the pandemic, rather behind. Since working with Kip he's made excellent progress. He loves the sessions with his tutor, one of the highlights of his week. Our experience is excellent and we intend to have him going regularly to Kip for the long term.

My son has come on leaps and bounds in maths since working with Kip. With their help, he is now on track to pass his GCSEs.

My daughter got into a top grammar school based Chelmsford with the help of Arati and her staff. They always support the students when needed and always go through their work - they find different ways of solving the problems. Staff are compassionate about their learning and are always leading parents the right way.

Arati is extremely approachable. They always encourage the students to do their very best.

Overall I definitely highly recommend them for 11+.

2 years of weekly Maths and English classes, from aged 14 - 16. This is my review of the below:
1. First Impressions - left a message, one day later professional reply with dates offering appointments to chat and see if we wanted to have a little assessment to see what we are looking at educationally.
2. Appointments & Cost - Upfront and professional, explained we can do Face-Face, online, and appointment times, or a bit of both. Information given about cancellation and always asked to just keep them informed as early as possible if we need to switch from on-line to face to face. However I opted for face to face and only if my son was not able to attend did we do online.
3. Reason for opting for Kip McGrath both the educational way they teach, but this particular one - Sue is a retired teacher + all the staff are educators and have all the strengths and abilities I needed to support and actually re-educate my son, to build him back up, to increase his self confidence. Which 2 years on, I am 100% factually sharing with any parent or guardian this is actually what happened, I can not thank the whole team for how and what they did for my son and our whole family.
I am so happy I researched this KIP Centre.

Finally I do not put reviews without time and effort getting to understand the place I am reviewing, and honestly after 2 years service from this business, this is my honest feedback. Give this centre a go, it changed my son back to who he was. THANK YOU Sue and Team.

18 months weekly sessions at great expense with a very willing student who is not unintelligent resulted in a fail which wont be reflected in their advertising statistics

I have been working at Coalville branch for 8 months. As an employee, I cannot praise enough the training, management and supervision Helen, the centre manager, has been providing. I felt very welcomed and supported throughout . Due to a unique friendly and professional atmosphere Helen created, there was a true sense of inclusiveness and celebrating each student's success. It was a pleasure to witness the learners thrive and progress, which has been reflected by their improving leader and parents' feedback.
