Went from bad to worse....
Where to start? I requested a hybrid car so that I could test it out on a long run and around town. I am thinking of buying one
so quite important. Unknown to me when I picked up the car, it was not a hybrid but a petrol. Once I got on a motorway and tried to find the hybrid details, I then realised that it was petrol. Too late by this time to return the car. Then I realised that the parcel shelf was missing. Then down a country lane I put the high beam on and they pointed up into the trees, so very dangerous. I called Kenhire, who confirmed that it was not a hybrid, but then asked me to check if it had a battery in the boot, just to confirm that it was not a hybrid! I was on the motorway so not a chance. Anyway, it was obvious by this time that it was not a hybrid. So, waste of money hiring a car. When talking with a young lady during journey about the light problem, there was no apology, just to call the breakdown service. When I returned the car, I was given a refund of £51, even though I paid £215 hire charge and I paid over £80 in unnecessary petrol costs. Not a great experience, so I can't in all honesty recommend Kenhire. A lot more to this hire, but I'm running out of patience.

I have used Kenhire a number of times over the years.
They have on all occasions been fast polite and professional.

I booked a van by phone
I booked a van by phone. I was told the cost would be £120. I was asked to pay the charge upfront which I was okay with but Kenhire took £320 from my account without telling me. When I found out I called them thinking I must have misheard the price but it turns out they had taken a £200 deposit without telling me about it. I was really upset about this but they did not seem to be phased by it at all. They were very matter of fact about having taken an unauthorised payment. I cancelled my van and will not be going back to them.

We are sorry to see that you were disappointed with your recent booking & your decision to cancel. We have investigated this & your initial enquiry was with a very new member of staff who is in the process of training & although she gave you the rental price, she did neglect to advise of the £200 deposit. When you called to make the booking, you spoke to a different member of staff who thought you had been made aware of the total hire costs. We have reviewed the phone calls made by yourself & note that during the 2nd call, upon hearing your dismay at being charged an unexpected amount you were offered an apology on two occasions for a genuine mistake & unbeknownst to you a discount had also been applied to the booking as compensation. When you called the third time to cancel you were informed that we had applied the discount, but you had already decided to cancel.
As a family run company, we pride ourselves in providing a high level of customer service & to ensure this continues we have spoken to all members of staff involved to ensure this does not happen in the future. Once again please accept our apologies for this and we hope you will give us the opportunity to show you our usual level of service in the future.

Very efficient service from start to finish. A completely normal hassle hire and I would absolutely come back and recommend to family and anyone!
The Cars Are a Great drive and pick up and drop off is no hassle.
Staff are lovely and helpful!

Great price! Super friendly team and the van was cleaned exceptionally well. Asked Kenhire to refuel after use as at the time of returning it was cheaper than the garage. No problems at all and would highly recommend.0
