Love my kefir
Love my kefir, and everything was safely packed and great, and I will order more things from the website soon.. my only mark down is that I didn’t get confirmation email when I ordered it , and few days down the line wasn’t even sure if I ordered it, is it on the way etc :) so maybe look into that, but other than that - looove my kefir ! :)

Great starter
Delivery arrived promptly, was able to activate the starter , start a loaf that evening and had my first loaf of homemade sourdough bread the following morning.

Delivery fast. But my expectation was that the Scooby doubled. That not happened.

Received our grains, and had our first batch of Kefir, in under a week. Will hopefully not need another purchase, but will definitely return if I do.

Horrendous communication!!!! - you can’t call them as number has been turned off - When they do reply (it took 4 days and 3 emails) your blamed by the customer service rep - !!!!!!!Steer Clear of this toxic Family Business!!!!!!!!!

He completely ignored the website notice (in CAPS), it's pretty much impossible to miss:

A disappointed experience
I ordered combucha grain on 6th June, I didn't receive any confirmation after I complete the purchase online, I have to email twice asking for confirmation and eventually I got the confirmation. It said online the delivery will be in 5-7days on Kefir ireland website, but up to 8 days I neither heard anything nor received my order. I inquired by email yesterday but didn't have any response from kefir Grains. I emailed again today and got their reply without any explanation and apology. Not a good experience at all. I am travelling on Saturday and I am not sure whether the combucha grain can be kept in the package for 5 weeks. I bought a milk kefir grain begore from them years ago, i was very happy with them last tine but not this time, I felt very frustrated.
Further to the response from kefir grain, I emailed you for confirmation was because I didn't have your confirmation. I emailed twice to ask the delivery time because I heard nothing from you. I ordered the day after bank holiday. You seems lost in calculating dates, and your attitude towards your customer should be shameful.

Shameful? Really?
Yes you placed the order for €10 on June 06 (immediately after the bank hokliday weekend which OBVIOUSLY would impact deliver time but CLEARLY you have a problem understanding this).
You then emailed us that very day stating you did not receive a confirmation which we found strange as confirmations are ALWAYS sent. However we replied THAT VERY DAY stating your order had been received.
You then emailed us again a few days later to which we replied:
QUOTE: Unfortunately we do not know what day your order will arrive but they will be delivered via Anpost and your postman will deliver them.
If you are not at home at the time of delivery they will just pop them
through your letter box so you don't need to wait in for them. END QUOTE
And you then proceed to email us for a third time on Wed at 18:49. We have not even had a chance to reply before you go ahead and write a poor review.
Do you expect a replay at 7pm in the evening??
Again, you do realise we have just had a bank holiday weekend and this impacts delivery time, right?
Seems like you are panicking since you are leaving on Saturday.
You spent €10 on the Scoby, if it doesn't arrive on time we will send a replacement, please give it a break!
Incorrect item received and delay in dispatch…
I ordered by 2pm and the order was not send on the day as promised, it was sent 2 days later and on a Bank Holiday weekend, which meant I didn't receive the order until 7 days after ordering. I ordered 2 litre kombucha scooby but was sent a 1litre.i was not aware it was a more expensive item, and I in no way meant to be nasty, I was only giving an honest opinion as I saw it

That's right Laura we actually sent you a more expensive Scoby (at no additional cost), sincere apologies. You would imagine most would be over the moon receiving more than what they paid for but there you go. With regards the delay, yes it can and happen from time to time but it's not exactly the end of the world Laura is it? Thank you for the nasty review and remember to ALWAYS support local!

Great service. I was delighted to be able to get Kefir from a source near my home in Co Clare, Ireland.
We've been drinking kefir for a while and I wanted to also send some there so my family can benefit also. Will def purchase from Kefir Ireland again.

Starter Kit - Too Expensive
I have waited a few weeks to post this.
I choose an Irish company to purchase water kefir grains. Delivery was a little slow. I purchased the Water Kefir starter Kit for €37.50 I feel it way to expensive for what you got. The sieve is tiny you will need to purchase a medium size sieve. The jar cover you can get cheaper else were. Honestly the price isnt worth it. Just purchase the water kefir grains only.

The price should not come as a surprise since it is clearly listed which means you were well aware of the price before making the purchase. Yes, the sieve is small and is actually the correct size for the amount of grains supplied with the kit, furthermore this sieve is the perfect size for the majority of mason jars. Yes you can use a medium sized sieve but be prepared for spillage when doing so. With regards the jar cover, it's just that, ie. a jar cover. If you can find it cheaper elsewhere then good on you.

Received it very quickly after placing the order and it was very easy to activate the kefir. The instructions are very easy to follow.
Highly recommend it! I am having the most taste coconut milk yogurt every morning now :)

worked a treat
Arrived quickly, kefir grains started producing on first fermentation, worked a treat. Also produces much nicer kefir than shop bought, my kids won't touch the shop bought but they like the home made.
