I am surprised at some of the negative comments about Joss & Main. I have, over the last few weeks, bought several items - all brilliant and delivered as promised within the dates outlined. Items packed well and thrilled with them all. Also, when I emailed with a query I had a very quick, efficient and nice reply, which answered my query - also pointing out, which I had not asked about - an item outstanding had arrived in the warehouse. So I think Joss & Main are fabulous and good fun scrolling through all the delicious tempting things to buy or just dream about !

I am SO disappointed and stressed by the non service from Joss and Main. I loved this site and its presentation, and given that it's affiliated with Wayfair and has a predecessor in the states, Joss and Main.com, I believed these guys could be trusted. Not so.
First lesson/sign: you cannot call these people. Searching high and low on the site yields only an email address which appears to be only selectively functional and responsive.
My first and only purchase was a chair of £340 purchased just before the new year and due to be dispatched on the 1st of April. I waited very patiently till that date with no word at all EVER from them and then contacted them, to absolutely no response.
The next day, I wrote again.
Somebody sent me this response.
'I have asked our warehouse to check whether the item has been handed over... Should we find out that your order was lost in transit, we will of course order a replacement for you.'
Slightly dubious as to how you could lose an armchair in transit and the prospect of waiting another 3 months for a replacement, I replied that I did not have another 3 months and that i would appreciate a response in less time than the 5 days they proposed I had to wait before getting a response.
They were supposed to come back tor today and nada.
It's instructive that there is no number at all to reach these people on and you don't notice till you are in a mess like this. Emailing is uncertain in their world, it would appear and I think businesses that seem to have no pride or accountability like this should not be allowed.
I am going to have to ask for my money back after better than 3 months of it sitting in their accounts, but we shop online because it's supposed to be seamless and easier. I don't have time to go chasing shops like this.
Oddly enough, I had very nearly made several other purchases from this site as I really liked it but was cautious and thought I would wait till they had delivered the first order. Thank God for that!
I will update this site with how quickly I am able to get my money back or my armchair in lieu, but I would advise that you do not allow yourself to be seduced by the site and the ease of ordering. These are in stark contrast to the lack of communication and transparency and basic customer service on the other side of the transaction! Avoid, avoid, avoid!

Happy with service and products
I've bought several items from Joss & Main over the last year or so. With the exception of a couple of items which sold out very quickly, with one being unavailable after the order had been completed, which was very disappointing, I have been pleased with the service provided by J&M: quality of the products - true to pictures and descriptions, the delivery and information from J&M when things were delayed or out of stock. I will certainly use them again as they offer a wide range of products, that fall into my price range and the service has been professional and friendly.

Disappointing delivery process.
Joss and Main UK are completely disorganised.
When I ordered the product, they then told me its not available as they had not updated their site properly. Then, I ordered another more expensive product and they failed to deliver the product on time. When I checked with them, they didnt even know the product was late till I informed them and then said they didnt know where it was and they have difficulties contacting their warehouse as its a large warehouse. Further, even past the delivery date they could not locate the item.
Before the delivery date, I actually checked twice myself as to whether the delivery will be on time and they said it all seems fine.
Also, the first customer care adviser I got just said delivery dates are not guarantees (even though its 2 months from purchase). Specifically, "we are unable to guarantee any delivery dates, as too many factors are involved in the delivery which may influence these dates and possibly cause delays" and " please be aware that we are making no guarantee on a delviery date, or when we will have more definitive information as to what is causing this delay". Further, I had to call back until I got a more efficient customer care adviser who escalated it to management (one whole day after I notified Joss and Main about the delay).
I am appalled. And obviously, still waiting for my product. I am so disappointed.
8 weeks later.......

Emailed company....no response....telephoned 4 times still no delivery said the problem was with supplier who wasn't responding to their enquiries. Why advertise products that aren't in stock??? Cancelled order and won't be using company again.

Rubbish service
Unclear that when you order, they haven't got goods in stock. Over a month from order to promised delivery date. Showed as "in warehouse" but wasn't despatched after three days. Asked for first class post delivery, response was we'll despatch by UK Mail, but didn't. My guess is they still don't have them in stock. AVOID!

Superb
Very professional customer service .Excellent feedback thru` emails ,texts and clarity of notification re every stage of order .Tracking was easy also but not necessary due to current and frequent feedback from Joss and Main .
I reside in Northern Ireland and the expedient service for delivery of three items was first class .Receipt of order was less than a week from on line ordering & indeed arrival of items was much sooner than estimated by Joss &Main .
A floor rug was first to arrive as a small delivery item, with a one man courier and quickly followed by my larger items as a two man courier .
The quality of a fiesta coffee table was good for price and shall look beautiful in my daughter`s new home .It was self assembly but really easy to assemble.
The rug is a good quality wool rug and exactly as description on website .The Only item causing slight disappointment with quality was the Loki Natural TV table.The oak veener, wood finish was a little cheap in appearance and quality so I returned it .
Again , refund very easy indeed .The only problem being telephone number on website in returns section was not a uk number .I hunted thru` website and eventually found a contactable number where Sean from Galway base treated me with utmost respect .I`m very, very impressed with the people I`ve come in contact with inclusive of Lisa ,Matthias & Sean .
A very warm thank you FOR your EXPERT PROFESSIONALISM & QUALITY SERVICE.Goods are nice too and very competitive pricing.

Goods paid for a month ago and still haven't turned up
A very lovely looking chest was ordered from Joss & Main on 9th February 2015 with an estimated delivery date of 27th February. Waited in all day on the 27th February - no show. Waited in again on the 28th February - still no show. Apart from the initial email acknowledgment of receipt of payment, have had no correspondence from Joss & Main at all. Checked my online account with the company and estimated delivery date had been revised to 2nd March. Waited in all day and still no show. It is now 3rd March. I have emailed the company twice thru their "contact us" option - the only way it seems possible to contact them - and still have had no reply or indication of when I might expect the goods I ordered and paid for. Very very disappointed and fed up. Not the sort of service one expects these days from a large on-line retailer. It's a shame because as others have noted some of their goods look very nice, and I might have become a regular customer had this first experience been a pleasant one.

Total silence (order #1862953864)
I ordered an item on Feb 1st (only a stool, nothing drastic). It was due for delivery by 27 of Feb. I have heard zilch from them about my order, beyond my initial order confirmation. I contacted them yesterday to ask for a call back to discuss the delay. Nothing. I can't find a phone number to contact them on. I don't mind waiting for an item if they are transparent about when it will ship (e.g. Achica style), but missed dates don't bode well.
Can't say anything about quality sadly, because I don't have the item. Better be worth it, I will update in due course!

Excellent Products
These products are of very high quality and a really great price, the delivery is patchy and I have been delivered the incorrect item. However it is worth pain I have spent probably £1,500 with this company over the past few weeks and the items are amazing. The customer service has also been fantastic so if things do go wrong they correct it quickly and efficiently if you can put up with long lead times on some items, then definitely go for it, I will be using these guys all the time now they have saved me a fortune.

They cancelled my order - Bad customer service
Spent ages agonising over a piece of furniture and eventually decided on a quite expensive one from Joss & Main. Got the confirmation and gave a delivery date so I took a day off to make sure I was at home to receive it. On the day I checked the tracking and saw there was a delay but as it was not specific so I called them for more details. I was then told they had cancelled my order because the item was "too heavy to ship" for their courier. What a ridiculous situation. They said they had e-mailed me but no sign of that (how likely is that???). They said they were very sorry but nothing they could do. No real apology or attempt to sort something else out - in this day of parcels moving all over the world I can't believe it is beyond the wit of man, or a company that cares at least a little about its customers, that they could not sort something out.
So we are left very disappointed and angry that they could not care less and did not even tell us in advance so I wasted a day at home. All together very shoddy experience and will never be using them again and I suggest anyone else is very wary as they may take your money and then decide they don't want to sell it.

DO NOT ORDER FROM THEM, YOU'LL NEVER GET IT!
I ordered 2 x duvets covers on the 12th December which were due to be delivered before Christmas, they then said end of January for delivery and have now just put on my account the delivery date will be 27th Feb! WHAT?! I'm going to ask for a full refund as I don't believe I will ever get the goods I paid for.

Bought for Christmas, still not arrived!
I bought a set of bed linen from Joss and Main in the middle of December, with an expected delivery date well in time for Christmas, as I'd been hoping to use them over the festive period. The day before my expected delivery date I received an email telling me that the delivery date had been delayed by over a month, and was now expected in late January. I was very unhappy and queried the delay, receiving a response stating that the supplier had run out of stock. I checked back earlier this week and found that the delievery had once again been pushed back by a few more days, which I took to mean that the stock had arrived and they were packing things up. However, I just checked my account again today (26th January) and found that the expected delivery date is now 25th February!!! Utterly unforgivable - if the stock isn't there then don't sell the product! An honest delivery expectation should be given, and a refund offered when there is a substantial delay. They've had my money for months now, in exchange for absolutely nothing.

Ordered a few things from Joss and Main, the latest being a console table. I find the delivery is very prompt and the customer service is really great. Occasionally I have also contacted them to confirm dispatch dates, or query an order and have found them to be very helpful.

3 months delayed delivery - shattered & damaged product received
Really terrible experience with these guys. I ordered lanterns in September, I was assured that I would receive them before my brother's wedding in October. 2 days before the delivery date I received an email to say that the delivery had now been moved to December.
When the package finally arrived in Dec the item's glass had shattered. Terrible packaging considering the item is made of glass, no bubble wrap - just a cardboard box within a cardboard box. I would not recommend you use this website.
The service representative on the phone was really helpful. I was given a full refund and was told to throw away the item.

Excellent service and goods.
We have recently bought many things from Joss and Main over the past 4-5 months, and we haven't been disappointed. We have bought a range of different items, from furniture to bedding to small decorative items. The quality has been as expected and accurate to the information given and any concerns, for example changes of delivery dates ( we were moving house so nightmare from old to new address) were handled very well by customer services. They were always very helpful and prompt in response and quick to reply to any emails. Very happy to recommend them.

Poor quality and communication
Our sofa was delivered after the expected date. It also arrived without any promised pre-message to inform us it was coming (meaning we were out, and it had to be left unsecured in our block's public stairwell).
On trying to assemble the sofa, there were serious issues with the alignment of the inbuilt screw points and the structure of the component parts (arms and sofa back). Essentially, the bits did not fit together properly.
We managed to secure one of the arms despite this, but when we tried to fix the second arm the screw point disappeared into the arm of the sofa. So build quality was lacking in both design (fit of components) and structural integrity (the pre-assembled parts of the item not holding together through the essential build process). Additionally, one of the legs was supplied without a cushioning pad at the bottom.
We received a prompt reply to our email wanting to return the item but yet again, we did not receive the promised pre-message about collection times. We had to chase Joss & Main up on this and received an email on the date of collection at 11.54am saying the collection was to be on that day from 9.50am ( two hours before the email was even sent!) to 1.50pm and there would be a call from the driver. At 3pm there has still been no call and no attempt at collection. We've had to take time off work twice now and wasted our time and leave.
We will certainly not be purchasing from here again.

Great customer service
I received a shelf unit from Joss & Main, delivered very promptly. It was a self-assembly piece which could have been made clearer on the website. And when I put it together, there were parts which didn't fit evenly, which cheapened the overall look of the product. When I emailed the company, they called me back and offered a substantial discount which I accepted. They also would have given me a full refund. I was really impressed with the way they dealt with my problem and wouldn't hesitate to use them again. I would give 5 stars for the service, but have taken into account the product quality as well.
Product Arrived Dirty But Great Customer Service.
I love browsing this online store, they have great unique items and when i saw the Mason Jars with stripey straws (set of 4) i fell in love.
When they arrived however, i was so dissappointed. The inside of the glasses were filthy, like they had been used. I let them know on facebook and someone from Jossandmain customer service got in contact. They apologised and said it wasn't the norm and offered me a 50% refund on what i had paid. They handled it very well and i got a refund. I can't fault their service. I would use them again.
Simply OUTSTANDING!
I ordered a table from this company and unfortunately it was damaged in transit so i contacted customer services and was amazed at the fast response and quick remedy offered by them, the communication is excellent .
I had never used company before and am wary of online shopping but i will definitely be a repeat customer now.
Their product range is fantastic at very good prices, every online retailer should take a look at how this company operate and see how it should be done....Amazing !
