FROM HIS FIRST PIECE , made from broken vintage items found at London’s Portobello Market, Jianhui has been creating versatile sustainable fashion from recycled and upcycled materials for almost two decades. His hand crafted wearable art is loved not only by style icons such as Iris Apfel and celebrities like Lily Tomlin, Dame Prue Leith but also prestigious art museums such as MoMa, Museum of Contemporary Art in Chicago and Museum of Art and Design in NYC runs a special exhibition for Jianhui’s sustainable designs on Earth Day every year. Sustainability is not a trend, but a mission to use resources well and help make our planet greener. This belief is central to everything he does, with his recycled leather collection winning a sustainability award at the NY Now show and his ‘Aqua’ collection being made entirely by hand from recycled plastic bottles and newspapers. Jianhui’s designs and the way he recycles materials have been used as examples in Smithsonian’s text book about climate and sustainability for its worldwide youth education. Jianhui has also been invited for a talk at the Climate School of Columbia University during the Climate Week in 2023. And above all, his designs are flamboyant, playful and simply JUST BEAUTIFUL.

I love the design of the necklace I ordered! Lots of strings. The only negative is that the beads already have a few spots where the paint has chipped and I have only wore the necklace once.

About the chipped paint, may I ask if you had spray perfume on it? The reason I asked you this question is that this is the 1st time we had this kind of feedback about our faux pearl necklaces. We have been working with faux pearls for over 20 years. We do both wholesale and retail. For wholesale, in the US alone we have over 200 accounts and we also sell to Japan which is well-known for their high quality control.
Perfume can discolour jewellery, including silver and gold. That's why in our package, we always enclose a care card on which we listed a few points to keep your jewellery fresh for a long time.
I'd be grateful if you could let us know.
