The first bag i received had a broken zipper which i could not get to operate properly. I understand that things happen but clearly no one is looking at quality control. The zipper was clearly broken and was clearly visible upon opening the package. At this point i reached out to customer service and they made it right (or attempted to). When i went to use the replacement bag for the first time i packed the bag, zipped it up and went to grab it and head out the door. It was then that i noticed the two handles on the duffel (which should be the same length) were two totally different lengths. This time when i reached out the customer service was poor. I recieved a reply about 24 hours later stating that 'the bag meets our high quality standards, have a nice day' I replied i said did you look at the pictures? Clearly the two handles are not the same. It took 2 more emails and 48 hours later and the response was 'I'm sorry you're not happy with it you can send it back at your own expense' No acknowledgement of the defect, just making it my problem to pay for the return shipping as well as blaming me for not being happy with the return. The bags look nice online but the quality (not necessarily the leather, but the construction of the bag is awful

★☆☆☆☆ Extremely Disappointed — Misleading Product & No Response from Company
I ordered a leather bag for $219.99, drawn in by the clean, minimal design shown in the product photos. What I received was not what was advertised.
The bag features a large, permanent embossed bull logo — something that was completely hidden from all product photos and not mentioned anywhere in the description. On top of that, the leather finish is noticeably different — it looks cheaper and has a sheen that wasn’t visible in the listings. The product I received feels like a bait-and-switch.
I contacted the company multiple times via email and phone to request a refund, and they have completely ignored every message. It's been 20 days and I haven’t heard a single word back from anyone who can authorize a refund. I have received emails and a phone call from Taube who just keeps saying she cannot get in touch with her manager.
Whether it’s intentional deception or just terrible customer service, this has been a frustrating and disappointing experience. I’ve now filed a formal dispute with my credit card provider and submitted complaints to the BBB and FTC.
Avoid this company. The product doesn’t match the listing, and if you have a problem, don’t expect any support.

Ordered a messenger bag before Christmas but received a similar item as a Christmas gift. Tried to return item only to be told that their policy is store credit only. The item was unopened from the original shipping container.
Their website states that "customer satisfaction is our number one goal" which is not true. They don't even have a customer service phone number you can call! When ordering online, it should not be necessary to read all the fine print wen links to feel safe about ordering. This is a very deceptive business practice.

I bought a briefcase and the strap came off after several months of use. I contacted their customer service department and got an immediate response and resolution. Taube (customer support) was exceptional and extremely helpful. I would highly recommend James Leather.

The “Black Biker Moto Jacket (M)”. I don’t like taking pictures but from my search to no success there’s not many useful James Leather reviews nor specific details about this certain jacket. I hope this helps the small percentage that are interested in one. I ordered it in medium as the measurements seemed the most proper though I feel I could fit a large if I wanted to fit thicker hoodies or sweaters under it. I usually like a longer jacket when it comes to back length but I noticed this style jacket is always worn shorter. It is slim fit as it says. I’m 6’0 exact and around 180 slim/boney but I have slightly bigger bicep/tricep and shoulders for a slimmer guy. A bit of a pudge belly. Somewhat of a swimmers build. I do plan to lose 10 pounds which I think will make it fit even better. My body measurements are…Shoulder-34. Chest-38. Back length-22 5/8. Shoulder circumference(corner edge) to wrist(sleeve)-26. Biceps-15.

It feels sturdy and just the right weight. The quality feels and looks great. My brother and I planned a Busch Gardens trip for Christmas Town and it showed up at my door 20 minutes before we headed out. Tested it out with a thermal, and a lite UA hoodie..approved. 37 degrees(for me it wasn’t so cold). It did draw a lot of attention and compliments if you’re into that. Im a shy guy so a warning to other shy guys you will get approached. A little tight in the underarms when you lift your arms about elbow level with obliques(nipple line). Overall a medium for me feels a tad bit snug but it works and I believe will loosen up a bit with wear. I should add that it is the most comfortable in the chest width. Each zipper pocket has just the right depth and there’s also a decently deep inside pocket on the left. I read in other places about a chemical smell on unboxing but to be fair these jackets are wrapped in a large thick plastic bag when it’s shipped so whatever smell it had when it was made is locked in the bag with the jacket but just smells like “fresh off the crafting table” leather to me. After a day or two the scent lightens and has that pleasant leather smell. There are coupon codes that will get to your email so keep an eye out if you sign up. Between 10 and 20%. Mine came from Pakistan to eastern U.S. ordered it on the 15th and was at my door on the 28th through DHL Express. I give it a solid 8/10. I would give it a 9 if customer service was a bit more responsive and helpful. They never answer emails so I’m certain nobody wants to deal with their refunds or returns as I’ve read in masses it’s a nightmare that’s why I’m putting this here so you may not have to if you pick right the first time. I would give it a 10 if it didn’t have a hole like gap under the collar buckle area. Besides that I recommend if you know what you want.

Ordered a leather bag. Quality just seems... off. Business address is anon-discript store front in TX and when you put in the address another business comes up which as an F rating from the BBB.

Came from Pakistan and on the customs sheet the value of the Black Moto Jacket was listed at $40 while they charge over $200.
Jacket did not fit and then started their return process/gauntlet. Did everything that asked and yet they still won’t complete the refund. It has been over 45 days since return was accepted at their warehouse and still nothing. They state it’s due to being overwhelmed with workload and they finance department keeps dropping the paperwork. Bottom line is still no refund yet they have their product, so has to make a credit card transaction dispute.
