Jacket is fake and not made with real leather like advertised I did a smell test and it smells of chemicals and not natural cowhide, it’s entirely too smooth for being full grain cowhide and when I dropped water on it it sat on the surface of the jacket, real cowhide leather soaks up the water. The leather is fake

I ordered a leather backpack from James Leather. Then I began to read all the bad reviews. I reached out to them and they promptly emailed me back and assured me they would do everything to make my experience a good one. Well in five days I got my backpack and it exceeded my expectations. It was just as pictured and I am loving using it. I will definitely order from them again.

Pathetic! Zero accountability
Pathetic. Refuses to acknowledge the defects (major scratches and holes) even after getting order number and photos! They refuse accountability and keep telling me to look at my own photos of the damaged bag they sent! Steer clear. Pleather!!!!!!!

I truly love the buffalo leather sling…
I truly love the buffalo leather sling bag I purchased from James Leather. The quality of the leather is excellent, the craftsmanship is impressive, and the bag is both stylish and versatile for everyday use.
I did experience an issue with the zipper on my original bag, but James Leather handled the situation exceptionally well and promptly replaced it with a brand new bag. I couldn’t be happier with how they stood behind their product and made things right.
I also want to recognize Aian for the outstanding customer service throughout the process. Aian was professional, responsive, helpful, and genuinely cared about ensuring I had a positive experience. It’s refreshing to work with a company that values both quality products and excellent customer support. Highly recommend!

The jacket ordered is low quality. Not only that, the pads are stictched in wrong. The left elbow pad is sewed in shut. You cant even get your arm in it. Do not waste your money with this phony company.

I ordered a backpack which took 4+ weeks to receive after 13 emails to check order status. There is no phone number for this business. Once I got the bag I didn’t like the color and zipper placement and wanted to return the item. After several more emails, I was only offered store credit with a restocking fee of $20. Worst shopping experience ever. Return policy is ridiculous. Unable to contact customer service.

SCAM DONT SPEND YOUR MONEY HERE
This company is horrible. I explained that I accidentally ordering a men’s brief case and wanted to cancel my order with in 5 minutes of hitting submit. They refused stating my order was already being processed, mind you this request was at 11pm. I highly doubt my order was being processed at 11pm. They told me once I receive it to follow their refund policy. So when I received it, I followed their refund procedures for them to tell me it was a sale item and is not eligible for a refund only a store credit. BEWARE DO NOT ODER FEOM THIS SCAM!

Duplicate Brief Case Order
I ordered a brief case and it was supose to be sent to my home not my business. It was supposedly corrected but after I received the briefcase at my home a briefcase showed up at my office. I wrote duplicate returned to sender on the second brief case package (it was never opened) and took it to UPS to be returned. I was not given any paper work it was straight forward that it was to be returned to James Leather at their expense not mine. To date they have not acknowlwdged its return. Credit card has been charged twice. Credit card company claims I did follow return policy. James Leather did not have a stated return policy that was included with the order.

The Phoenix duffle looks better than expected with those trims. It’s handy for weekends, but I probably wouldn’t use it as my daily gym bag since it feels large when full.

Ordered a briefcase that arrived defective. No phone number to call, they wouldn’t respond to emails. Finally opened a dispute with my credit card and got my money back.
Do yourself a favor and don’t purchase anything from these thieves.

Not Leather - it is plastic
The website says genuine sheep leather, hand crafted, shipped from Texas. The coat arrived three weeks late, it is plastic and shipped from Dubai. They are ignoring all my emails. I have disputed the transaction with my bank. Including sending them the packing slip that says “polyurethane” and value of $15. I paid $309. I’m so upset. I’ve never been ripped off like this before.

This firm is nothing but a scam!!!
This firm is nothing but a scam I implore anyone to stay clear of this scamming firm. It is not a leather tradesman working out of his workshop in the USA but a workshop in China. I ordered a Dakota leather bag which looked great on the pictures but received a bag a third of the size that looked nothing like the Dakota and was fit to be a handbag only, it was also badly marked. They offered me a 5% discount at first that eventually rose to 40%, trying to play on saving the planet rather than sending the item back. It’s a disgraceful company that is a complete scam.

Absolute fraud
Ordered a motorcycle jacket with very specific sizing and color requests. Not only was the color wrong, it was so poorly made that I couldn't even lift my arms to reach the handlebars on my motorcycle. Their "customer service" amounted to this:
offer nothing more than platitudes and delays until they got their money from the credit card company and then going completely dark and no longer responding.

According to their own policy, James Leather claims a 1–3 business day processing time and 5–8 day shipping window. It took them 8 days just to send me a shipping confirmation (BECAUSE of my multiple emails) and then the tracking number showed no movement for an entire week.
It’s now been 13 business days (nearly 20 days total) since I placed my order for a Father’s Day gift, and my item is still missing. No delivery, no update, and no response to multiple emails… or when they do respond, they’re evasive and dishonest.
The lack of transparency, accountability, and basic customer service is unacceptable. Save yourself the frustration and shop elsewhere.
