My experience with iXperience in Cape Town in the Investment Banking program was genuinely exceptional. From start to finish, the program was thoughtfully organized and delivered an experience that was both professionally valuable and personally memorable.

The staff were outstanding:incredibly supportive, responsive, and genuinely invested in helping students succeed. What stood out most was how accessible and helpful they remained not only during the program, but even afterward. They were always willing to offer guidance, introductions, or advice as we continued exploring careers in finance.

The professors and instructors were fantastic as well. The material was challenging and practical, and the instructors brought real industry insight into the classroom. It felt less like a traditional academic course and more like an immersive introduction to the professional world of investment banking.

Another highlight was the people in the program. The classmates came from impressive universities around the world and were ambitious, curious, and collaborative. The friendships and professional relationships built during the program were one of the most valuable parts of the experience.

The housing location and overall logistics were also excellent. Everything was extremely well coordinated, which allowed us to focus on learning and enjoying the experience rather than worrying about day-to-day details.

And of course, Cape Town itself is an extraordinary place. Between the natural beauty, the culture, and the people, it’s hard to imagine a better setting for a program like this. The activities organized throughout the program allowed us to experience the city in a meaningful way while also building strong connections with the group.

Professionally, the program provided exposure to industry concepts, professionals, and perspectives that helped clarify my interest in finance. It was an incredibly enriching experience both academically and socially.

Overall, I could not recommend iXperience more highly. The combination of strong academics, incredible people, thoughtful organization, and the unique setting of Cape Town makes it a truly special program.

I honestly don’t think there’s anything quite like iXperience. The program is six weeks long — the first two weeks are an intensive bootcamp that sharpens your industry skills, and the next four weeks are a hands-on internship with a company that matches your interests and strengths.

During the bootcamp, you learn real-world skills that most colleges don’t teach — things like management consulting, investment banking, or data science — all taught by experienced industry professionals. Then you immediately get to apply what you’ve learned in your internship, working on meaningful projects and building client-facing, professional skills.

Through iXperience, I interned with Boyden, a global leadership consulting and executive search firm, where I worked on AI research projects. It was an incredible opportunity to explore how emerging technologies intersect with business strategy and talent management. I also gained a ton of practical skills — from research and data analysis to communication and presentation — that I now confidently talk about in interviews.

I spent my summer in Lisbon, and it was truly unforgettable! I met amazing people from around the world, explored a beautiful city, and gained so much confidence in navigating the corporate world. It was the perfect mix of learning, travel, and career growth — I’d recommend iXperience to anyone who wants to challenge themselves and make the most out of their summer.

This past summer, I had the opportunity to join iXperience in Cape Town, South Africa, where I completed their Investment Banking program. I had a few friends go in prior years so I thought I had an idea of what was going to happen. iXperience exceeded my expectations and was one of the best decisions I have made. iXperience made me feel ready for a career in finance. On top of the professional development, I was able to make some of the greatest memories of my life exploring a new city with some of the coolest people that I met in the program. Since I completed the program it has been a highlight of my resume in interviews, everyone is so interested and curious about working abroad. This was the greatest experience of my life and I’d highly recommend iXperience to anyone looking for a unique program that blends professional development, cultural immersion, and unforgettable experiences abroad.

This past summer I spent six weeks in Cape Town with iXperience’s Digital Marketing Internship program and it was truly life changing. I gained hands on experience building a full digital strategy from SEO and social media audits to buyer personas and competitor research while working with an amazing start up and international teammates.

Outside of work, Cape Town gave me some of the most unforgettable memories including skydiving, meeting elephants, morning cold plunges in the ocean, and trying new foods. I loved stepping out of my comfort zone and growing both personally and professionally.

I would highly recommend this program to anyone looking for real world marketing experience while exploring one of the most beautiful places in the world.

Amazing experience. The team was super responsive and guided me and my family through every step of applying and setting up travel accommodations. I had the opportunity to take the Investment Banking Boot Camp, where I learned everything I needed to get started in a professional role. I was fortunate to join a firm called Exit Strategy Partners, where I worked on live multi-million-dollar deals. Having this experience has really helped me get a better picture of what I want to do in the future and propelled my career forward.

I joined the iX Management Consulting Abroad program this past summer in Cape Town, South Africa. Since returning to the United States, I realized that it was the best way I could have spent my summer! I loved the diverse cohort of students from various universities and I made so many new friends. Also, the weekly cultural excursions taught me about my surroundings and gave me new areas to explore. The industry expert who taught my course was incredible and she has continued to help me with my recruiting efforts since coming back to the U.S. My internship with a fantastic local startup gave me great work experience to add to my resume and leverage in future job interviews. Overall, I would highly recommend iX’s programs to those who want to pursue a unique, non-traditional internship while prioritizing a fun summer with travel!

I recently had the incredible opportunity to participate in a study abroad and internship program in Lisbon, Portugal, and the experience was nothing short of transformative. From cultural immersion to professional growth, the benefits of this program were truly remarkable.

One of the standout features of the program was its emphasis on cultural immersion. Living in Lisbon for the summer allowed me to immerse myself in the rich tapestry of Portuguese culture. The city's vibrant neighborhoods, historic landmarks, and delicious cuisine became my daily backdrop, providing an authentic and unforgettable experience.

The networking opportunities presented during the program were exceptional. Whether connecting with professionals in my field or engaging with fellow program participants from around the world, the networking events were both enjoyable and instrumental in broadening my global perspective.

Beyond the academic and professional aspects, this experience was a journey of personal growth. Stepping out of my comfort zone, navigating a new city, and building connections with people from diverse backgrounds contributed significantly to my self-discovery and confidence.

Had an absolutely amazing time here. While the bootcamp was definitely fast-paced, the instructors did not overwhelm us with homework and allowed us to have the time and opportunity to explore the city and culture. The instructors themselves were all super knowledgeable and top notch. One of them had their own firm and another was from McKinsey. Internship wise, I had the opportunity to work with a former co-founder of Google and someone who was on the Forbes 30 under 30 so it was truly an amazing experience.

My six-week journey with iXperience in Cape Town was undoubtedly one of the most exhilarating and transformative experiences of my life. Meeting a diverse group of extraordinary individuals who share similar passions in such a short span of time was a revelation. The connections I formed with other students exceeded my expectations, and go beyond just professional networking.

The academic program and internship I engaged in providing me with invaluable knowledge and industry insights. My instructor and teaching assistants were unwaveringly supportive and resourceful throughout the entire six weeks. Thanks to this program, I feel significantly better prepared for the corporate world.

One of the most delightful surprises during this journey was the relationships I formed the iXperience staff. They went above and beyond to ensure that we, the students, had the most exceptional experience possible. Their willingness to provide career guidance and assistance with our internships whenever needed was truly commendable.

Reflecting on this incredible experience, I can honestly say that I can't imagine a more rewarding way to have spent my summer. I firmly believe that iXperience offers something of value to everyone. Whether it's the professional skills you acquire, the exploration of a new city, the forging of lifelong friendships, or even facing and conquering your fears, like taking that leap of faith by skydiving, I'm confident that this program holds something transformative for all. I wholeheartedly endorse iXperience and sincerely hope that everyone has the opportunity to enjoy it as much as I did.

I participated in iXperience Lisbon for management consulting this past summer and found the program delivered on both the career and abroad elements. I gained experience working at an international consulting company during the day and enjoyed boat tours and group dinners arranged by our managers, Amy and Jakes, at night!

During my time in Lisbon with iX, I was able to rapidly increase my professional maturity, improve my independence, and develop as a citizen of the world. The program consists of a two-week intensive course in your chosen subject followed by a four-week internship with a company either in-person or remote with project(s) pertaining to the content covered in the course. The course is taught by a successful professional in the industry and continues to meet twice a week throughout the internship for continued support and education. The program coordinators and other iX personnel were incredibly supportive throughout the course, internship, and program, and absolutely wonderful to spend time with on the many group excursions. Moreover, through the selective process of admission, fellow iXers will share a passion for education and success while bringing their unique backgrounds and histories to cultivate a fully eye-opening experience. Through the strong relationships formed with your professor, internship manager, program coordinators, and peers, iX Lisbon was a great investment for both my professional future, my knowledge of the world, and for developing strong friendships with people from all over.

iXperience was quite simply the greatest 6 weeks I have ever had. Cape Town is a stunning city, with so much to do- We could surf before work, climb a mountain after, then play padel or soccer under the lights at night. The staff was incredibly supportive, and honestly were amazing friends. They often even took time out of their personal lives to help show us more of the city. The education made me feel very comfortable with the basics of Management Consulting, and Byron, my teacher, was so helpful and consistently met outside of class to discuss the material. Finally, the internship was awesome: I worked for a corporate wellness startup, helping design Mindfulness and DEI courses, doing market research, building a pitch deck, and creating short and long-term strategy plans. Cannot recommend iX enough for a motivated and adventurous student!

In a span of six weeks, there will not be a time where you wouldn't know what to do. The first two weeks include taking online classes taught by experts in the industry and the next four weeks is where you are paired to a company for an internship. While this time is great to learn new skills, it is also a time where I explored the beauty of Cape Town, South Africa. During my time, I did many things out of my comfort zone such as skydiving, surfing, hiking, paragliding, and more. It's definitely a great time to learn and explore!

I attended the Lisbon summer internship program with Amy Buczynski and Jakes van Aarde, two great managers. For many of us, this was our first abroad program, and for some, our first work experience. Amy and Jakes built a home away from home for 30 students of diverse backgrounds and adopted the role of older siblings and mentors for six weeks. Not only did they support us throughout our internship experiences, but Amy and Jakes always made sure we were having fun abroad. Between boat trips, restaurant outings, and field trips around the city, nobody in the program had time to be homesick! I'm so grateful that their guidance and care enabled us to become such a close-knit group; I know I'll always keep in touch with my favorite mentors.

iXperience is a summer program that combines learning, internship and traveling altogether. 
As a rising junior, I wanted to narrow my interests and find a suitable career path during the summer. So, this integration of course + internship appealed to me, as it not only teaches the core skills for management consulting in a classroom from current industry experts but also provides the opportunity to apply those skills in real-life scenarios with professional assistance. Moreover, I always wanted to experience working in another country, and the abroad program in Lisbon, Portugal, matched my interest. 

Amy Buczynski and Jakes van Aardee, our wonderful program directors, made this program truly an unforgettable experience. They planned various cultural excursions such as wine tasting, surfing, and Sintra trips, which helped us better understand and enjoy the culture of Lisbon. Moreover, they were always there for us, creating a welcoming environment for everyone. We really appreciate having them!

This program is the best way to build your resume through an internship and explore a city. The staff at iX is beyond helpful and provided plentiful support both in the internship and in our careers. I took the Software Engineering course in Lisbon and learned a lot about full-stack coding (learning how to build front/back-end applications/APIs/databases/applications in multiple frameworks etc...). My internship taught me key skills in teamwork and technical frameworks. What made my experience truly exceptional was my program directors Amy Buczynski and Jakes van Aardee. They ensured that we had a plethora of events to do around the city that let us get immersed in Lisbon culture and travel the city. Furthermore, they provided a support system in which I truly felt safe, included, and heard. I had an unforgettable summer that I will cherish forever.

iXperience truly has been life changing. Throughout the course of the program, I consistently felt supported and loved by each and every person. The atmosphere here was always welcoming and we most definitely owe that to Jakes and Amy. They genuinely never let us down in any aspect and quickly become our close friends. Besides the atmosphere, the opportunities and professional support that iX offers during and after the program will be of high value for the rest of my college career and beyond.
