Fiona Macrae
After Fiona Macrae, Insurancewith’s founder, was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2005, she found it almost impossible to get affordable travel insurance. Like anyone else, she was looking forward to a holiday, but sensibly-priced cover seemed out of reach.
Insurancewith was created to help people with all kinds of conditions – including cancer, mental health, epilepsy, and many disabilities – get the most suitable cover for your personal needs at a price to suit your budget.

Ive used this company for a long time this year i did it online but there was a fault on my account and missed my illness off its taken a few weeks to sort out due to the fault but its now sorted the lady that i dwalt with was really nice and couldnt appologise enough for the fault

Good service
I rang this company to enquire about about travel insurance seeing as I have medical issues and the service was very good. Plus the quote was extremely reasonable. Hopefully I won't have to claim.

Poor
My cancer is in remission. I’m no more a risk than anyone else going on a week’s holiday to Spain. I tried to do an online quote but it kept crashing. Then I had a notice to say I needed a follow up call. Had the follow up call and was on the phone for 30 mins answering all the same questions they asked online. When the quote came back it was absolutely extortionate.

I've used this company for 10 years
I've used this company for 10 years , last time was Nov 2025 for a trip to NZ. They have apparently now changed their scoring system and I'm no longer insurable no matter where I'm travelling. They have changed their system apparently due to the amount of claims they have received (none from me by the way) . I was told that its mainly because I've been diagnosed or treated with an illness in the last 5 years! She said I may be able to be insured in the future if that changes!
One of my illnesses is stage 4 cancer so that is never going to change. Obviously the call handlers are not educated on what that means. I know this company was set up by a lady who had cancer and couldn't get travel insurance so I'm very disappointed that they now turning their backs on people like me who are living with long term illnesses but are fit to travel. They will obviously lose a lot of custom through this. At the end of the call I said thanks for the call and she just hung up! very unprofessional .

Brilliant company for Cancer Cover.
This was the only company that dealt with me as a person with cancer on an individual, they were brilliant especially as I'm on a cancer drug trial .

What was different about Insurance with…
What was different about Insurance with is that it goes into more detail about medical conditions, because most companies price based on conditions being severe rather than mild. All conditions have a degree of severity, esp.ecially with some genetic diseases.

Great price, includes Air Doctor Connect, chrome browser login problems
I checked the specialist medical insurance comparison sites and Insurance With had the best reasonable price for an annual insurance. Many other companies only offered trip insurance. I was emailed the travel documents and then tried to login to the site, this failed. Eventually found Insurance With had issues with chrome browsers at the time, early April 2026. I use an old Chrome version since my old Mac can't upgrade to the lastest IOS. Contacted Insurance With and they emailed me a link to reset the password which allowed me to logon for the first time. I was pleased to find Air Doctor Connect was included with the insurance.
