After paying an introduction search fee, I was unable to generate my enquirie or get into my account. I used the web page e-mail to get support but they never replied. I called the number and was put through to a 'call centre' who could not help me as they had no acces to the system they advised me a technical advisor would contact me in five minutes by e-mail. It Never happened. It then transpired they had stolen the £39.00 monthly fee from my account.
They claim: -Our focus is on providing instant free people search and lookups by name, with findings that include full contact details, address history, phone numbers, additional email addresses, online profiles, usernames, as well as related media files associated to the respective person of interest. We also offer a range of online research tools such as reverse email, phone, or username lookups, disclosing similar types of data.

What a load of useless platitudes from this company. Their system is set up to pocket customers' money and then sit back and refer to their one sided T & C's. The only lesson they need to learn is to stop scamming customers and treat them properly.

I had the same experience as others. Told it costs 50 cents, then they charged 39 euro to my card. They never mentioned the 39. Had to cancel my card. Definitely a scam, they should be fined and put out of business.
Added in response to the standard reply:
You are blatantly a scam, carrying out criminal activity, as can be seen by reading all the reviews. Your activity should be stopped and those responsible sent to jail.

Took £0.50p for a search fair enough but then went back into my account & took £39 so now l have to call my bank to dispute it !!! SCAMMERS 🤬
They have since been in contact and said it was something l clicked on, this l believe to be incorrect, l have asked them to delete the set up subscription and refund as a goodwill gesture. Also they said the £0.50p was supposed to be for 48hrs but my bank said they took £39 next day.......unresolved. They said they would not refund me, but today they have agreed to and confirmed the subscription is cancelled. They have restored my faith in humanity.

Brutal SCAM !!! AVOID !!!
I tried to use the service, initially I paid 50 p and I didn't find who I was looking for....
After a couple of hours I was charged (£ 39) - unauthorised bank tranzaction !!! It's a pure scam !!!

I had an unauthorised amount tried to…
I had an unauthorised amount tried to be taken from my account without me agreeing to anything, my back thankfully declined the transaction of £39, found out since there a third party homing into another site and scamming people, so the fraud department of my bank have blocked any payments that may be tried to be taken, they are not legit by any means, need reporting right away

Scam do not use
So I tried to use the service, paid 50p, it didn't find who I was looking for....
So after reading the you now need to cancel or you would be charged £39 subscription.
So I tried, couldn't log in to my account, as it didn't recognise me, tried password reset, same result.
I tried to call them, this rings off, and said the number is off.
Now being charged £39, I will dispute this with my bank.
Scam!!!

Should’ve been no stars at all. I had just heard about a sudden death in my family, and needed to find my cousin. I was sent a message saying they had no information at all. As I was prepared for the -50p they still charged me the £39 fee for no reason. This was just at the beginning of me being scammed. I’m still having problems with this as I’m now in my overdraft, on a state pension. I don’t want anyone else to get scammed. I’m usually pretty good at recognising a scam, but with the shock at finding out about the family members death. I obviously didn’t have my wits about me

Avoid this company
Avoid this company. They must be scammers. I tried many times to trace people but they were unable to help. I even tried my own brother in law and managed to find him myself online in minutes whereas these scammers couldn’t!
At least I realised quickly and managed to cancel fairly quickly.

Was expecting the worst but delighted to get £39 refund! :)
I was expecting to join those complaining about Info-record as we had a similar experience to others, ie. we had an 'unexpected' £39 showing up as pending on the banking page of our joint account. It was quite a shock!
However, regardless of the negative Trustpilot review history on the company, I thought it would be worth phoning them and being polite until prompted to be otherwise.
As it turned out I engaged with a pleasant man who was understanding of our predicament and said that it WOULD be refunded and, indeed, it was; on 30May2024!
We're pensioners and are grateful for our treatment AND the refund!

PS: Perhaps some of the bad experiences could be avoided if
Info-Record sent an email/message saying 'You need to cancel now to avoid paying £39 within 'X' hours' or perhaps charge EVERYONE, say, a reasonable £3 to £5 for 2-3days with AUTOMATIC cancellation. Even if the research took longer it would cost users the same for a month! I'd be happy with that. There must be a suitable figure from the business point of view which would avoid these problems and damaged reputation?

Sounds like we have all had the same experience. A 50p investment turns into a surprise £39 per month commitment. The only thing to be learned from this is to use a credit card and get them to reverse the charges. Which I just did. But of course it means they also cancel your card in case info-record have sold on your details....irritating but the only solution.

DO NOT USE!!! I used one of my Virtual Cards on my Revolut account to pay £0.50 for a single search. But hidden in the T&C’s were that you’re actually signing up for a £39 a month charge to be paid 48 hours AFTER you’ve done the single £0.50 search. Which was all I wanted to do. A single search on someone. Which turned up ZERO info.
I feel bad for those who’ve been scammed the £39. I was very lucky (and pleased) that Revolut blocked their attempt to take £39 this morning. I’ve since blocked them via the Revolut App and deleted the card.
My advice AVOID USING THE SITE. Clearly a scam.

Complete scam. I never even signed up to this service. There is no email account ever created in my name and no subscription confirmation or anything of that nature shared with me but this company has been debuting €39 off my account every month for the past 6 months. Case has been opened with my bank but I don’t suspect I’ll ever see that money ever again.
