I love Freegle stops waste helps you get rid of odd things to other freegleers. Also look or ask before dump saves you time and money and best of all helps others.

I have given away and received countless items on Freegle. I think it is a wonderful idea, saving things from landfill, saving people unnecessary expense, and creating a very pleasant community experience.

Love the idea of reusing items to prevent them from going to landfill. Also great to get stuff for free if you don't have much to spend!

I love using freegle - as much prefer to give things away so they can be used, rather than throwing them in the rubbish. I have given away a lot but also picked up a few items I really needed. The app is really good too and let’s you upload an offered or wanted ad complete with photos in just a few clicks.

I have both gifted and received items on Freegle. It is a great way to make sure that useable items, that you no longer need, don't end up being wasted and thrown into landfill. I have gifted shoes, memory foam, hula hoops, a tent, and plants that have outgrown the space I had to keep them in. I have been gifted a tailors dummy, a door, plant pots, large bottles of PVA glue and a window blind. Humans waste so much and it's a shame. With Freegle we can make the amount we waste much smaller.

Every time I have gifted or been gifted to, it has been a great experience.

Juat got into freegle. Both giving and receiving. Its a good way to recycle things whi h is important to the environment. Only criticism I have and its not the sutes fault is I really hate it when someone agrees to come for gopds but dont turn up.

Freegle has been so useful for finding new homes for unwanted things still with life in them. But also as a life saver when you spill a cup of tea over your laptop and suddenly need an external keyboard!

I moved to freegle having previously used Freecycle, a couple of years ago - I found the freecycle system clunky and thought I'd try freegle instead. I do prefer the interface provided on freegle compared to freecycle. The support provided by the freegle 'admin' (addressing questions / suggestions) is prompt, especially considering they are only volunteers. I think in reviewing, one should separate freegle (the tool which facilitates and enables) and the other users of freegle (givers and takers). The tool is pretty effective (I mainly give items as I'm clearing down clutter in my house having retired) and have posted over 100 items this year I think I'm able to comment on a number of positive points from the giving perspective. I like to be able to see conversations with people over multiple items, I like the rating system (so-called 'thumbs up / down' concept, which decay over time), the ability to send "its gone now" messages to many people with just a couple of mouse clicks.
So then onto freegle users - well, people are people. You get mostly good-uns, and a few bad-uns. The ability to choose who gets an item using historical information (thumbs up/down, older conversations) is good, as is the concept of roughly where someone is (I prefer to give to people who don't travel too far) - both being tool supported. The way freegle worked during the shutdown periods we well considered (and publicised), even if not everyone agreed with the conclusions, but that's fine.
So, all in all, I'm a happy user and do frequently recommend freegle to friends.

Freegle is a great way to keep stuff out of landfill and often you meet some really lovely people while you are doing it. Its amazing what other people have a use for so its worth offering items you don't want before you arrange to take them to the tip or put them in your rubbish bin.

I love Freegle. You can give away things that do not serve you anymore. Some of my previous items found good homes. You can also receive good quality kinds of stuff.

Makes it really easy to give away items, even things you might think are too obscure for anyone to want. Also a good source for obscure items you can't buy or would prefer to try to find secondhand if possible. Love the ease of listing multiple things at once and adding photos!

I have used this website constantly since I found it last year. I have got many useful things other people didn't need/want anymore. And I have given away a lot too. Lovely to know that they went to someone who needed it instead of going to a landfill! This site has got a very important mission to help us all reuse :)

Love Freegle. Have give away all kinds of things on it (some really obscure such as loads of old cables which I really have no use for). Would love the rest of the world to join so we can stop so much more landfill. Brilliant.

Shame I can't rate Freegle higher than 5 stars. So far I've only given stuff away but I'm so glad it's all gone to good homes & will be used rather than sitting in my cupboards, wardrobes & garage. Some stuff was in great condition & other stuff preloved which I thought nobody would want, but if it all can bring some joy & escape the tip that's great news. Nearly everone says thank you despite me not handing over stuff personally as I've used my porch as a collection zone due to the pandemic. So far a great experience I highly recommend.

Freegle builds friendships and gets neighbours together. Ive had wonderful things like an orthopaedic chair from a lovely couple who were clearing his dad's home after he died. Numerous things that didn't end up in the tip - and I've gifted too. My favourite was to an elderly gentleman who moving into an assisted flat asked for a 'few things as he was moving out of his daughter's home and didn't have anything.' As i had recently remarried and moved into my husband a widower's home had more than two of everything. He went away loaded to the car roof like a newly wed bride. I LOVE FREEGLE!

Recently moved to freegle after using freecycle for a long time. Loving the ease, speed, app experience.

It so good to be able to recycle and pass unwanted things on to others that find them helpful, as well as to get things that have been previously used. I hate to throw useful things away, so this is a great way to repurposed them.

In the interest of honesty I will say that I am a Freegle Moderator.
That out of the way, I was using the service for quite a while before volunteering. I have given, and received, numerous items that have been useful.
If it's something that may, even remotely, be useful to someone else then put it on here if you don't want to sell it.
Nearly all of the Freeglers I have met have been happy to give and/or receive items and this is a great way to be part of a community while doing your bit for the planet.
