Taking into account my circumstances, IBA were able to get me a mortgage that none of their competitiors could match. My adviser at IBA, Richard Faulkner, gave me a great deal of advice and guidance on my first-time house purchase, helping me navigate how a mortgage works, the timelines involved, the costs and payment levels to expect, and even advice on how to deal with some of the shadier business practices of estate agents. Any questions and queries were answered immediately, and all of this came at a lower cost than any of the internal mortgage advisors suggested to me by the estate agents. Highly recommended.

My sister actually recommended Richard to me, as she had gone through the first time buying process 4 years ago with him, and he left a great impression.

I rang him, feeling nervous about what mine and my partners options were, and I really shouldn’t have! He is absolutely brilliant at giving clear and direct information about the process, about how to help and more importantly, explaining all of our options to us. Me and my partner at that point (March 2021) hadn’t found a property.

Fast forward to 7th June this year, we were accepted by the seller on a beautiful house! First thing I did was ring Richard, and he went through the new options, and helped me and my partner pick the right mortgage for us. He talked through our next steps, what documents we need. As first timers, we didn’t know what solicitor / conveyancer to use, so asked Richard if there was anyone he knew (otherwise it would have been a google search and hope for the best) and he gave some names of people who he has worked with previously.
Fast forward to today: thanks to his help and expertise, he has helped us secure a mortgage (the one we wanted) with Nationwide (this was accepted on the 24th June), and now we are just waiting on the solicitors to give us the completion and exchanges.
